  • Both bikes are great In my opinion. The 150rb will keep up with a 250 any day just depends more on the rider.

    I just got back into riding after a 20-year break. Always rode 250 two stroke bike.. this time I bought the 150Rb because I have two young boys and wanted them to be able to ride it. I will tell you that I lOVE riding the smaller frame bike. I'm 5'7, and the full-size bikes are fine at the track, but it's much more enjoyable to ride enduro when I can plant my feet firmly on the ground.
    The 150RB is a beast of a bike; it's super fun!!!! Most riders don't need a huge engine bike and would probably ride faster and safer on a smaller displacement. IMO. Take it easy!

    i have a 2016 husqvarna tc85 runs perfect. but i just got a 08 crf150rb to move up, i put it in the shop as soon as i got it because it needed about everything replaced. i put a whole new clutch in it, yoshamura slip on pipe, rejetted, all new suspension, plastics, adjusted the valves, new bars, grips, new kicker, black rims, red hubs, asv levers. and it still wasn't running right, bogging out/ cutting out also the idle would hang, so we tried messing with the jetting and air fuel screw, still nothing changed.. so tried putting a new carb on it after replacing everything in the stock carb. the next day tried t ride it, sucked a valve.. somehow the valves were literally hitting the piston. the intake valves were stuck. so now i need a whole new top end because the one valve shattered the top end. ain't even had the bike 2 weeks. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Ok im 13 5,7-5,8 NEVER ridden before (have watched like 15 vids on how to ride and before I get a bike I’m going to be getting lessons form one of my dads friends that rides a lot) what bike do you think would be best for me money is tight and would rather prefer the 250 cuz then I don’t need to sell it in a year then get a 250 which is what I’m going to do if I get the 150rb ( the 150’s are hard to sell for around the same price which I’m my area is like 2.5k and 3k) and I’m getting 2k to spend on gear and a bike but have Christmas coming up and I get 20 bucks per day on the weekends and going to be getting a bike In like 2-3 months (and going to grow in that time) and I’m going to save all my money from now to then
    P.S: I know that ccs are not everything but want a taller bike that I can “grow into” and not have to worry about the bike starting to get to small for me and haveing to sell it
    2nd P.S: I’m going to be doing more of trails, desert and some street might hit the track like once or twice (from where I live I can go to a gas station and then go to trails near me and open space where I can ride on the bike)
    What bike do you think is the best for what I just listed up there 👆? (it doesn’t have to be the the two bikes from the video)
    Edit: I know what maintenance need to be done for a race bike I know most people suggest a trail bike (for ex: crf230f, ttr230, ttr125, and the crf250f) for beginners but I did my research on things

    I bought an rm125 at the middle of last summer and have been having some issues with it. Its blown up twice since i bought it :( (second time was my fault). Im looking to buy a 4-stroke but dont know what to get. Im almost 15 years old and around 5'7, 125 pounds. Is a 250 four stroke too big for me? Keep in mind that I've been riding bikes for at least 5 years so experience isnt an issue. I mostly do trail riding but would like to get into racing so is a crf250rx the right choice? lmk

    • @DJsGarage
      @DJsGarage  4 роки тому +1

      Try another two stroke if you like them. I haven’t had any issues with two strokes yet. Obviously a 250 is gonna be heavier but they are about the same size. Also keep in mind a 4 stroke will need valves done every 10-15 hours. But the 250rx isn’t too bad of a choice if you are looking for a good four stroke race bike

      Crf250R is a good race bike but probably not the best trail bike, nothing wrong with riding it trail though, if I wanted a 4 stroke trail/race bike I would go with a YZ250F, you do trail more than race so go with a 250FX, 4t gonna be heavier though by a decent margin, which could be a problem with you being 125lbs. 4 strokes gonna need valves adjusted, 2 strokes gonna need a top end, that's just how it is. 4 stroke is also a better trail bike it you go on long rides, it's quieter (to the rider), it's more fuel efficient, and you can fill up at gas pumps without carrying oil (assuming you aren't getting a 2t with EFI). In my opinion 2 stroke is a better race bike, 4 stroke is a better trail bike.
