My story is ..... I bought a 15 amp portable charger, and asked my mate - who is an electrican to install a 15 amp plug in my garage. After checking out my main switch and wiring... he told me I dont need to install anything as the previous owner already done it. We ended up going out for brunch. : )
So we came to the point that we are starting to copy CHINA. Only, we don't call it copying, we call it "re-engineering". We are just like kids: "Can I see your answer? I just wanted to see if you were right, okay?"
I have no story because I'm a dealer in a small island and we are just about to start our first EV imports. I am so stoked. This is going to be interesting. Hello from Saint Lucia.
PV cells and EVs. St. Lucia is an ideal place! I have only visited your beautiful island once, but it was so nice and I would love to come back if the opportunity presents. St. Lucie is a place where total conversion to renewable is possible and beneficial (with a little planning for hurricanes).
Would like the BYD Seagull in Australia. Wish this car could also go to America and their car companies can compete against it, of course they can't but that is their problem. The consumer and the environment would win.
I'm in the process of evaluating more affordable EV's for a future purchase and time and time again the BYD series of cars come out on top in most occasions. As such I don't currently have an EV that requires home charging, HOWEVER I do currently own a 2011 Honda Odyssey that requires weekly battery charging due to the excessive amount of vampiric drain caused by all the AliExpress and Wish gadgets sprinkled throughout my car (basically my attempt to have current/new technology to use on my journeys). Thanks for the great video's 😀
The other day my car was charging at the office’s garage and I received a notification saying that the car was unplugged and I thought that someone tried to remove the cable and I went immediately to check but in the end it was just a circuit breaker that pop up and the car detected as the cable was removed

The irony: if China did this we'd be screaming IP THEFT!

That's awesome that you're watching from there. St Lucia is beautiful. Do you have any plans to buy an EV there?

Consumers and the environment only matter when American monopolies make money off of it.

It's pretty standard for banks to provide research papers on all kinds of things. There's billions of dollars of investor money at stake.
Sooner or later, BYD will enter the insurance business for EV
It's not a bad idea.
They already have, so far only in a few provinces in China though
What other vehicles have been subject to this analysis? - it'd be interesting to compare results.
4:29 THIS is a much better charger than the one I use (Feyree)!
