Also, the secret sauce for a city car is being zippy. Immediate midrange acceleration, especially between, say, 30 - 70 KP/h to zip through traffic and into parking spaces.
It's also the expected behaviour of small city cars in the West. That's why people buy them.
People like good handling, as we can see with the success of the MG4/Mulan.
This is where most Chinese cars fall behind their Western counterparts.
People expect a firm, sporty ride in smaller city cars at the expense of softness since these aren't cars you will do very long drives in anyway.
May as well enjoy yourself. 🤷🏼♂️
Interesting car.
Hopefully, BYD would look into your much realistic comments!🙏🏻

I wish they sold this in the US for $20,000 or less with a range of 350 miles per charge, I'd be strongly interested.
Getting from A to B should not cost anyone $40K plus dollars
BYO did right to eliminate the frills. The market absolutely NEEDS to put pressure on other manufactures to show them what they essentially need to equip their cars with. The way NA autos current spec their cars are rediculous for middle to lower class folks.
Good work - you are a talented speaker and presenter
Now I would consider getting an EV
I need this car now. A damn the US wont let us have these for a good price
China continues to innovate. U.S. market take notice
please bring BYD seagull to Indonesia, cant wait how affordable for the price
wuling bingo have the same value
wow, that price and this? Unbelievable, it looks cool! I love it. Plastic fantastic for me.
I would buy this over BMW i3 or Renault ZOE anytime.
I love the BMW i3
@@brunoheggli2888 You might love it, but a new BMW i3 was 2-3x more expensive and for many people that is really expensive. Even a used one costs the same as a new Seagull.
BYD, we're still waiting for you in Indonesia
You Sir, deserve atleast a million subscriber!
I want it! From Sweden with love!
the designer from Lamborghini can´t be unseen
A great little car, love it
Need this in the USA
Oh~ My~GOD!!!!!!! I Want to drive !!!!!
I would like to see you review the Toyota BZ3 EV. Really Interested in that car.
I hope this comes to Philippines soon! Also Atto 3😊. Great and fun review as always!
I want one for under $13k that’s good buy!
i agree. i will buy one of these soon, but I really wish I could get a 75kw version with less contrast in the interior.
If you can't beat them, ban them!
Europe too 😭
Us did this nasty thing to Huawei before
This is what Tesla should make, a small city car. Not a 60k big shinny pickup truck that doesn't make sense for most of us.
It's actually $11,500usd for the fully equipped model and $10,000usd for the base model.
The most practical and affordable Micro EV car. 😊
Slow Driving sound = MIne mine mine mine
People in US and Canada really want a cheap run around car like this, but there are none.
Us in Europe too.
Even city cars are too expensive
Because your Governments are spending money on wars . While China is investing on their Citizens.
its all planed by european lead countries to stop the "others" from having prominent possessions in global financial market
I just bought (today!) one in Brazil where i live. Its a little miracle of a car. I love it. Unfortunately here they only sell one SIMPLE but decent versión.
I would've bought a gti / sport version if they had one, in a blink of an aye! even Paying 30% or 50% more. hands down 😂
Wish that was being sold in the USA
车轮哥 👍🏻,感谢你的支持
2nd car duties only? Nope, 75bhp is just fine. I bet this car beats the Fiat Panda in every way.
This is the only kind of car that I would consider buying new.
Those power specs feel like something out of the 90’s.
Now i want this in Malaysia. We already have the Dolphin for ~100K MYR, this should be much cheaper.
MYR47,000.00
Malaysia Government don't allow selling import ev car price below RM 100k to protect e-mas ev car 😢
I wish they come up with a right hand drive one
Yeah, me too. The MG4 still works for us, though.
Better ask your government to switch to normal driving side, like largest part of the world.
Want to be treated normal, change to normal first. 🤣
@@BMWHP2😂😂😂
They probably will at some point. After all BYD is already selling in multiple RHD markets (Japan, Thailand, Aus, NZ, India), and is even building a factory in Thailand.
The Country with the largest population in the world drives on the left.
The price is absolutely insane. Idk how they're achieving that but WOW
I love this thing… I wonder if they sell it here in Taiwan too? I don’t think I’ve seen one yet. Would love to have this car.
I really like your videos man!!!
I really like the car
Such a nice car. Specially for new drivers like young 16 high school kids or college to get raound for work and school.
This will sell extremely well ❤
Ethan... you loved this car because of the Barbie interior and you know it 🤭😜
I like this one over the BYD atto but it's not available in our country and alsooo, pink is not for everyone hahah!
Tiny EV
Big fire.
Little brain big ignorant 😂😂
BYD batteries are the safest it won’t explode or catch on fire
Seating position is excellent.
Rear seats are always the worst in EV's because of raised floor. These seats are better than the ones in the likes of HIPHI Z.
Pretty much the most exciting EV since the advent of EVs. I don't need a car that can go 0-60 in 0.04s and a truck bed I'll use once a decade. The roads around me are all limited to 100 km/h at most and I'll rarely exceed those limits by more than 20km/h. I'm a diehard ebike convert, but this could sway me back into car ownership. These are the cars manufacturers need to make if they want to stay relevant, not humonguous fortresses on wheels with more computing power than a small country.
Great little ev, need one ❤❤❤
in Amsterdam you don't want a big car, and this is good enough to visit friends and family outside amsterdam.
