      I've tried, but the whole costume thing is cringe: if you want to be seen as an expert, then be seen. Otherwise....🤷‍♂

    Well ackshuallyyyyy, comb filters are filters and delays just as IIR (ordinary digital) filters are. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I love weird filter stuff. i do wish a few of these were standalone effects for other daws

      Agree, the character filter are amazing. I bet one would be able to recreqte them on Patcher but I don't know how to replicate the resonances and harmonic relations

      @@AlexReidStudios yeah i think it would take someone who could reverse the DSP stuff to figure out how to do it precisely, especially the last few you were highlighting

      In the Kilohearts Essentials free plugins pack, there are some nice filters (ladder, comb, formant, non linear...)
      If you do not use them yet, give a try !

    I like bitwig, but sometimes I sense the sound is too 'full' and seems to wear down the ears even though it's not loud. I don't seem to get this problem with Reaper even if i mix badly. Is it the synth presets using too manyeffects like reverb etc or something else related to sound output settings . I appreciate some input. Note. Ableton had this problem when it was Live 8 version back in the day.

    • @AlexReidStudios
      @AlexReidStudios  3 місяці тому

      Do you mean the master output or the sound of the devices?

    • @robertjames4908
      @robertjames4908 3 місяці тому

      @@AlexReidStudios The master output. I think I may've solved the issue, each preset synth, drum, etc has a load of FX added , I just disable the FX's on the presets instruments and go for raw signal and work from there. I am used to starting with unFx'ed instruments at the start. It all builds up, the reverbs etc on the master and gives the ears a twisty feeling lol. I am have come across this before on other Daws when i throw everything at my instruments without thought. Ear information overload, with so many subtleties going on...

    Geonkick is flagged on virustotal. But it could be a false positive
