in delay+ you can change its behaviour in inspector panel on the left and select between Fade (smooth transition, no pitch changes) and Repitch (Tape-like pitch changes) and Jump (immediate change, no pitch changes)
As a new Bitwig User, this is honestly really helpful. I'm a transfer from anither DAW so it surprised me that there was more than one delay plugin and it's helpful to know the difference now.
Thanks for the great video. I might give Delay-4 another go. So far I've been extensively using the others only since Delay-4 needs more work, but I can also see the potential.
I was the same, I often didn't used it because there was too much stuff on it and didn't knew where to begin. But for slow sound design sessions it's amazing
imo basically all delays became useless when delay+ was released, because it combined all the most important features in an even easier to understand interface. maybe delay4 is still interesting, because of all the crossfeed stuff that essentially makes it more of a reverb-type plugin. but that's about it. delay+ it is from now on. the diffusion algorithms sound great as well and you can actually set it to resample (pitch drifts) audio on rate changes in the inspector view. it is just not the default setting. i just wish they had added an even faster measure for the temposync rates. sometimes i literally have to go to the fastest note and then on top of that turn down the slider below to the lowest value to get to a desirable speed and it makes me wonder if there are some situations in which an even faster speed would be desirable. you can explore these in the non-temposync modes ofc, but i sometimes just want extremely fast temposync stuff
I still use Delay-2, I'm obsessed with the default preset of 3/16 on the left and 4/16 in the side. But I agree, Delay+ is great. I quite like the amount of containers on Delay-4 tho, the pre effect and feedback per line are great
@@AlexReidStudios yeah, you're right. the 3/16 4/16 dualism is actually quite cool and not acheivable with delay+ without an fx layer. i didn't think of that

Glad to be helpful!I wa slike you at the start and is one of the reasons I make these videos
Thanks for bitwig video! More please 🙏
If all things go well with my schedule, expect one for next week :)
Love Bitwig
It's great
Great video!
Thank you!
Thanks mate. I have not used the delay plus, as felt it was a bit confusing. You cleared it up for me. Nice one. 😊 party dance time! 🎉
This video is great 👍
Thank you :)
I love it, thank you
Thanks!
Also, I love messing with bigwig convolution. And chance on a deep dive, especially on how to create our own convolution forms?
I made a video on convolution, but need to make a deep dive on IR making, you can achieve some crazy things
i still think they should release there stuff as a plugin environment for use in other daws
That'd be amazing, closest thing is Snap Heap

3:32 not quarter, semi or whole notes, but rather 16th, 8th and quater notes.
Thanks for clarifying

@@Beatsbasteln Yeah that's the uniqueness, on Delay-4 too, beign able to set different times on different sides or panning
