When driver was asked if injured he replied - No but how is my seeing eye dog?
I will never understand why a driver would think it appropriate to turn right across oncoming traffic like that. Not only that, It's also an 80 zone. If cars are travelling faster they're also arriving sooner. Not to mention the increased potential for injury...
I'm old enough to remember that being a 100 zone, a long time ago.
Having worked in motor vehicle insurance for decades I can tell you it's the same reason that many thousands of other motorists have an accident every day. It's called Inattention. Something that even you as clever and totally on the ball 24/7 as you are, can have happen to you.
Golly gumdrops , it even looked like the Beemer was in the right . I guess there's a first time for everything !
Bmw actually got rammed lol crazy
Driver didn't see 2 cars oncoming?, ouch!
Happens frequently on DCOA.
Southern suburbs drivers in Adelaide are the absolute worse...more crashes happen in the southern suburbs than any other in South Australia...
@grahamj1935 that's highly debatable. Seen pleanty of dumb shits out north too
I always think to Myself how much better these drivers will be when they get their licenses
Person in the 4WD ought to buy a lottery ticket, so close!
No looky, me go`ey good luck everybody else 😆
I've been living in that area for 6 years now. It is NOT a dangerous intersection. I've never had any issue turning in and out from there. Especially easy turning right from the main road (like the idiot tried to do), just need to wait for the upcoming traffic to pass. Impatience and stupidity make it dangerous only, like most of the time.
The only thing I can think of is, the sun in a winter arvo in a certain angle can be blinding. But seriously, if this is the case, a normal driver would slow down and look twice if it is ok to go or not.
This moron looks like didn't even slow down.
that I have something to say. once upon a time when I was driving against the sun outside a train station right before reaching a crossing. I took my time going slowly, checking the crossing and the curb sides a few times even moving my head shoulder to shoulder to confirm that there were absolutely no one before I starting going through it... but then I asked myself, why did the cars in the opposite direction stopped. So I slammed on the brake just in case. Out of nowhere, just like magic, 2 people appeared right in front of me crossing the crossing. when the sun is just right, not only can it totally blind you, it can also make you feel like it didn't.
@@jeremysun7365I've had that a lot up near grand junction road, and that big intersection in North Adelaide as you go towards Regency Park. It's a nightmare. I solved it by moving to the outback. Fuck driving in Adelaide, especially these days with all the curry cartel in their camrys and uber SUVs.
Agreed.
I've turned right onto The Cove Rd many times and you can clearly see the cars travelling North.
There's two ways to get out of the area and the Scholefield Rd T Junction is a death trap, the worst in Adelaide if you're turning right onto Ocean Blvd.
My hypothesis is that a large percentage of people just cannot judge speed or distance. Most will cover for this deficiency by either going slow, being way over-cautious when performing manoeuvres or just avoiding them altogether, like lane changing. Every now and then, it has fatal consequences unfortunately.
Weird, NEVER been any issue at that intersection before....
That's because half of India and Pakistan weren't there yet...
I got held up in the traffic after that happened. It was the Friday at the start of the school holidays. Somehow all the crazies find their way out of the woodwork and risk their loved ones lives by irresponsible driving.
Bmw wasn't far from going over
Stupidity has far reaching consequences, which includes the ever increasing costs of CTP.
Cu×t of an intersection, been there so many times. Seen so many close calls.
This road will be dropped to a speed limit of 60 kmh now by some hero bureaucrat
This happened to me back in 2010, I'm driving a brand new xr8 Ute and an uninsured driver decided to turn right at the last millisecond, I T boned him, my car was a wright off, my stomach was purple for 3 months from the seat belt. 2 things I notice is when people go shopping or drive, they turn into zombie Morrons.
How hard is it FFS to just get your motorised metal box from A to B without smashing it to pieces or killing someone??
Probably on phone.
"Most road trauma is caused by driving a few k's over the speed limit" the people we elect into power tell us in paid advertisements.
1) Do you believe them?
2) Will you vote for them again next election?
Well, buddy, you’re an armchair expert and it is data collected over thousands of traffic crashes that form the basis of road rules. Which would you trust? Should you ever be on a jury? Yikes, you’d have them guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, because of some conspiracy theory you thought up! Of course being a legal expert you’d know that politicians don’t actually sit around and make road rules, those that make them are NOT elected!
I just did a 700k drive today, 90% of the time I was well over the limit. That meant I got home without being fatigued and ready to crash, like all the 80 year olds I was flying past as they did 90 in the 110s. I don't want to spend 9hrs on outback roads getting tired, when 140+ means I spend 6 and a bit at most and don't get tired.
Cam car's music sucks
A misnomer, not even music.
That is one 💩 intersection the cars coming up the hill are hidden, the cars turning cannot see the cars coming.
It's been like that for 40 years
The sad thing about this video is that the BMW didn't actually flip.
Looks like our Asian arrived have... arrived.
No, they’re white bogans who think they’re privileged.
Is that even a sentence?
Maybe they can teach you English.
This is literally 2 minutes from my house? I recently saw an unmarked, non government plated 12 year old Volkswagen Touareg stopping cars along this highway? Very weird? 🤔
