Christine Weston "Chris" Chandler (born: February 24, 1982 [age 40]), better known online as CwcvilleGuardian or Chris Chan, is an American UA-camr, vlogger, artist, musician, and cult leader known for creating the web comic series called Sonichu.
Chris originally identified as male, but came out as a transgender woman in 2016, and changed her name to Christine. Chris' internet career began in 1999 with the uploading of Sonichu comics to a personal website. She created her first UA-cam channel in 2007, which was around the time she became an infamous trolling target due to her comics and personal life. Christine has been noted as one of the first internet lolcows and one of the "most documented people online" because of her behavior both on and offline.
On March 17, 2000, Chris created the comic series Sonichu in a graphic design class; she wanted to use the characters Sonic and Pikachu on a CD cover, which wasn't allowed for legal reasons, so she combined features from Sonic and Pikachu to create a brand new character.[8] The first Sonichu comic was released on March 24, 2005.[9] She also created a virtual band called "Christian and the Hedgehog Boys", which featured characters from the Sonichu series as band members. 2 albums called Christian & the Hedgehog Boys and Christian & the Hedgehog Boys COMEBACK! were released in 2003 and 2009 respectively. The music was made by singing over pre-existing pop songs and changing some of the lyrics.[10]
Chris first gained the attention of several websites including 4Chan and Something Awful. Eventually in 2007, Encyclopedia Dramatica would make a page mocking Chris, and she would begin to leak private information about herself on Encyclopedia Dramatica, ruining her relationship with a friend in the process. This would grab the attention of trolls and fake girlfriends, which included Clyde Cash, CChanSonichuCWC, Ivy O'Neil, and Marvin. Chris has been ridiculed online for her art, views on women and homophobia, laziness, delusions, and narcissism, among other things. While there have been trolls who have attempted to help Chris change her life, some have negatively affected her mental health and well-being, such as BlueSpike, The Idea Guys, and Isabella Janke. Many people would become fascinated with Chris and begin documenting her videos and messages onto a fan-created website called the CWCki.

I disagree with you on early Chris being harmless. He had a rap sheet before the internet heard about him. He was always dangerous, always self-aggrandizing, always violent, always delusional, and always depraved.
He regularly SAd Megan, and again, this was before the trolls ever started in on him. He also ran over Mike from TGP, too. So your thesis doesn't make much sense. He'd have turned out a mess no matter what. That's not to excuse the trolls, they're absolutely wretched, but Chris is not a monster because of them. He always was one.

I dunno. You go to great lengths to say how Chris did terrible things, and to a large extent you are alluding to his racist and homophobic remarks. The end you say "such views should be corrected" but, you should have said - tolerated. To say corrected you are standing on a slippery slope. The trolls can argue they bullied him to right a wrong.
I did not get through the entire doco, but Chris from what I observed never expressed that he was not willing to share the world with people of different sexuality, or race as him. He merely took offence to being labeled homosexual. This was clearly his autism. For the trolls, this was their in, and excuse to bully him. If you cant see that, you need your head examined. The trolls are even vile racists and homophobes, who mask their unremorseful bullying of a person on the spectrum in a disguise of social justice vigilantism; to somehow legitimize it.
Chris was also known to have expressed that he wanted a white girlfriend. Truth is, in my younger years I probably said the same thing to myself and to my closest friends. We all come from a little bubble world, where hopefully we travel, meet people, and expand our horizons. Chris unfortunately due to his disability, and economic situation, was NEVER going to experience life as most people can/will.
You should have also gone further. Its not just the trolls, do not forget it was the community who fueled the flames and egged the trolls on, and so they need to also take some blame. So many comments blame the parents, but I cant see this playing out the way it did without the bullies tearing him down, and the community of fake fans who helped build on his delusion of grandeur.
PS. You blame Chris' parents because of the clutter. Perhaps you need to visit elderly people who are living by themselves with no support. Some can maintain very tidy homes, but a lot will hoard and have cluttered homes. I think that point was a huge stretch, and reaching for any point that seems original or new.

You talk about his autism and then say things like he should of grown out of drawing comics and living in their imaginary world, calling him a monster. You go from knowing he would have been better off in special schools to talking about him like he's a someone who doesn't have severe mental impairments. I get your doing the best you can but open your fucking heart. This is the psychological torture of a autistic man and then when it comes to things he does you Judge them like he's not autistic. I’m convinced the schizophrenic state Chris has fallen into is from the trolling. They strategically stroked his ego to manipulate him, constantly harassed him both online and in public, fed him numerous strange ideologies using his gullibility, and ultimately documented everything they could on him. I feel like the Idea Guys, particularly, did a lot of damage. Chris was actually starting to settle into a somewhat normal routine before they got involved. They didn't readily respond to new trolls, they were actually seeking professional help with gender transition and would have likely been put in touch with a psychiatric professional soon, and there was even a good chance that they could have profited from their Internet "fame". On top of that, a real woman got...actually kinda obsessed with Chris not long after. It's hard to say if that would have gone anywhere, but it's clear that Chris had genuine supporters for the first time in their miserable life.
Then, Wise got in touch with Chris, and things fell completely apart again. Jokes that they couldn't possibly have come up with started to appear in Sonichu, and it became clear that they were beginning to believe bizarre and harmful things. Chris-chan always had a loose grip on reality, but it completely broke once Wise, Boyd, and their unknown co-conspirators (there was one from Canada, and another totally unknown who named theirself for a high-ranking SS official) got in touch with them.
Like this video points out, I doubt that Chris would have ever committed incest without believing they'd been told that it was okay by Jesus. Chris spent a significant portion of their time incarcerated in a mental institution, and I don't really know how people totally ignore that. Chris-chan was never going to lead a normal life, but I honestly believe that they could have been happy and relatively healthy if Wise and Boyd hadn't gotten involved. The two badly needed to suffer actual consequences for their actions.

For years in numerous videos Chris has made super strange and sexual comments about his mother, and she herself reciprocated the strange relationship with her own weird closeness and interactions with Chris. I think it’s more likely that Jesus giving chris the green light was more of an excuse for Chris to finally do something he’d wanted to do for years than the sole event that planted the idea in his head to sleep with his mom and made him do it

I do wanna point out that there was ONE thing that the Chris before the critical trolling eras did that I wouldn't pin on trolling that was not pointed out: Chris and Barb deliberatly running over a game store owner in a parking lot because Chris got banned for harassment. That was entirely a result of his own actions and his parents upbringing. Just wanted to point that out before going on to what I really wanna say.
Wanna focus on his folks for a bit cause I can't say anything about the trolls that Pup hasn't masterfully said in this video. Chris is an example of why mental help matters. Chris's parents, at least in my opinion, didn't seem to want Chris to go to a special school out of pride. Hard to believe they'd simply want him to learn to live in a normal school while also not looking for outside help. they didn't want to admit the fact they had a kid with a mental illness. They wanted to have a docile Chris free to spend funds rather than actually put the effort to teach him manners.
My message is the same as Pup towards the trolls: They deserve for their actions to haunt them forever because of the horrible things they did. But also this and I feel even people not like Chris need to hear:
*There's no shame in accepting mental help. It doesn't make you weak. it doesn't make you different. It doesn't make it that you're wrong of doing so. Even people with no mental handicaps, seeking help for one's mental state is not a failure of an individual. Thinking like this is what lead parents like the Chandlers to not give the help their kid needs and is the reason why people in the internet think is better to ridicule and abuse someone with a disability thanking them aid.*

You've put it really effectively here: people are just using whatever excuses they need ("It's just for a laugh!" or "This person actually deserves it!" or "I'm not responsible for what they do") in order to exercise ableism and cruelty. This will definitely open some eyes and hopefully help people on the internet be more reflective of their actions towards others, because there's really no excuse for this entire situation.

The Chris that exists now is like an unethical science project. The trolls took a vulnerable person and thrust them into a fictional storyline. Think about that. A significant chunk of Chris's reality at that time was constructed by people online. People they thought were friends/girlfriends were really just laughing at them behind their back. Well, the thing is that when you watch these "comprehensive history" documentaries about Chris-Chan, you already know how it ended and that Chris-Chan was actually autistic/mentally impaired the entire time.
When it was actually happening, no one had that hindsight... for the longest time there was a huge chunk of internet who believed that Chris Chan was a troll, and it became a challenge to prove it.
_"There's no way in hell this guy is for real. No way"_
Back then, when I was teaching myself English by reading websites like Encyclopedia Dramatica, SomethingAwful or 4chan, when I was following the Chris-Chan early to mid saga, I genuinely thought (I'd guess a good chunk of people who only knew the surface level stuff did too; only the balls-to-the-wall nerds who followed the saga like a TV show were disputing that) that Chris-Chan was a racist, homophobic, character some genius troll was playing.
With every saga came the videos to disprove that Chris-Chan was for real; like the video of him smashing his PS3, it was commonly thought to have been faked, like many of his other antics.
Then year after year after year it became clearer and clearer that it wasn't the case, and that's when things degenerated... with Chris-Chan getting extorted and talked into doing weird sex stuff by edgelords.
I guess it's just weird to see people doing historical documentaries about stuff I was part of as a young teenager, makes one feel old.
Internet seems cyclical like that, we went from "edgy is cool" to "edgy is lame" over the course of the CC Saga, and internet is now waaay more into positivity, and it was a change that had to happen .
Every youtube channel was basically "Why this movie and that manga suck"
Now the successful channels are the "Why this movie/manga saved my life" type, and it's awesome, we had ran the cynicism stuff into the ground, we've been in the good vibes era for a few years now.

The part of Chris Chan's story, where he invented a fictional world based on pre existing franchises, that he believed was real and a place he could go to. This all hit home for me personally, as I've had a similar idea in my head for a long time.
HOWEVER. I already know that it's all fictional. It's nothing more than make believe, non of it is real or ever will be real. The closest it's ever going to get to becoming real, is if I ever write it out as a story or something.
This idea was something that started when I was little, and overtime changed and adapted as I grew up and matured. It's nowhere near as...odd as Chris Chan's. It's still something I think about today, but only as something to take my mind off the stress of real life when things get tough. A safe space I guess.
I just thought I'd mention this, given that I'm also autistic, and the fact that Chris Chan had a VERY similar fictional idea in is head was kind of a shock to me.

Tbh I kind of worry this whole shitshow of a saga has given that sort of thing a bad reputation. In a way it fuels my self conciousness about how passionate I can get about my interests, how at times I fear it bleeds into obsession (I suspect I might have a touch of the tism.) But then I remember that at least I have a firm grasp on reality, the interest only feels so intense in my own head and I still know it's all fictional.

I haven't seen anyone say that. What most say is the trolls were what basically signed him up for a life where he could never become better.
Chris basically never had anyone in his corner to help.
Most of the blame i'd say directly falls onto his parents due to the fact it was his mother that talked Bob out of getting Chris the help he needed at a young age, likely because she knew they'd likely take Chris out of such a problematic environment.
Bob and barb prioritized keeping their hoarding a secret and keeping Chris with them rather than prioritizing his health.
His ideas of women and how they should be treated clearly came from somewhere.
So you have this autistic kid who's parents refuse to get the help for and instead choose to ignore or enable his worst habits. They leave him to his room to good around, after graduating they're fine with him not hunting for a job what so ever and offer no encouragement to do so.
All this likely played a part in Chris losing his touch on reality at an early age, and then to what he did to Meghan.
Chris at that time was already incapable of realizing the consequences of his actions or having any regard for another person's wishes because he got the idea in his head that he was supposed to end up with a sweetheart. He really believed life was like a tv show, that him and Meghan ending up together was inevitable, so touching her against her wishes was okay (I'll clarify I'm not saying it's okay, I'm describing specifically Chris' point if view) because eventually she'd say yes anyway.
The thing is that he wasn't completely beyond saving just yet. He still could've gotten help after his falling out with Meghan, but instead was faced with trolls who only continued to further his disassociation of reality.
Essentially, Chris never had a chance to be a good person because everyone in his life refused to get him help, and he was unable to recognize he actually needed help.
      Tl;Dr
Was Chris a good person? Not really.
Did the trolling help? Absolutely not.
Was it the thing guaranteed he'd never be better? Absolutely.

"He never learned from his mistakes," or "People tried helping him," comments bother me for the reason you stated above. These people would either stroke his ego or consistently troll the guy to get even funnier reactions. Then when the joke went too far, they'd reveal themselves to Chris as having manipulated them and their actions to Chris to then go on to say, "But this time is different cause this is serious."
Chris is a horrible human being. End of story. But these people acting like they were doing anything more then harassing someone into insanity is absolutely ridiculous. The trolls made a horrible human being more dangerous with the attention they gave them. The story with Meghan should've been the end of that saga with the trolls when they realized this man is potentially dangerous and completely delusional. Instead they used it to justify a harassment that went on for well over what it should've gone on for.

I want to add to the conversation since you mainly covered Chris's early life. Another bad thing people did was support Chris's delusions. There are so many videos out there of people encouraging Chris's delusions later in life. Chris would say Magi-Chan is sitting next to them and then asks the people around them if they can see him. They said yes. Another example is TheGamerFromMars's documentary. He let Chris "heal" him and spent so much time listening to Chris's go on about delusions while he's sitting there nodding his head. Stuff like that reenforced Chris's delusions. That's why I dislike any documentary or interviews with the interviewer interacting with Chris.

Something I've hated for years is that most people will treat any kind of trolling as "just a joke" ignoring that some people have mental illnesses like depression and anxiety. People will go out of their way to hurt someone badly because it's "funny" and that behavior has always been disgusting to me. Thank you for tackling that topic, I couldn't of worded it better myself.

I hate that one of the most known examples of Autism on the internet is Chris Chan because they are definitely not representative of the spectrum as a whole and I feel it just adds to the assumption many make about Autism equaling stupidity when there's very few cases where it does. Really happy to see folks reflecting in the comments section. I do want to answer a few questions from the comments here. This kind of video is outside of my normal wheelhouse so apologies for any gaps in there:
This video was never to excuse Chris Chan but to take a reality-check on the other contributing factors that made Chris Chan the monster they are today.
There are folks asking "what about the time Chris did this specific thing?". It's a fair question, however, my priority with this video was to acknowledge who Chris Chan is and all their many MANY faults, but the main focus for this one was always going to be the trolls who contributed to the problems. This video makes it clear that it isn't a documentation of Chris Chan but serves to highlight something I don't think is talked about enough. It's pretty well known that Chris Chan is a jackass. Not so much how far people pushed them.
I also often refer to Chris Chan as "mentally impaired" in the place of autistic. As many have pointed out, autism does not excuse Chris Chan, and there are likely a variety of different personality disorders going on here. At the end of the day, regardless of Chris Chan's conditions, it was never okay for trolls to prey on them the way they did. Ridicule is one thing, bullying is another.
Also folks, as I say, I fully understand why there are folks both trans and cis who deny the validity of Chris Chan's gender identification, and I understand that. But as I say in the video, I'm using they/them strictly to be as respectful as possible, not necessarily to Chris but to the trans community. It's airing on the safe side above all else as the subject of gender identification is not one I feel personally equipped to discuss or make judgement on. That conversation is for someone else's video.

I'm just glad to see someone else out there try to put on everyone's shoes in the story and understand that it is checkered and layered. You even acknowledged that Chris parents screwed up but did so out of a desire to protect Chris from what they thought was bad. The internet must be kinder yet-
I always refer to an exchange from Star Trek TNG
"I understand what you did here Q, but I think the lesson could've been learned without the loss of 18 members of my crew"
"If you can't take a little bloody nose maybe you oughta run back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous. With treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross, but it's not for the timid."
The world is not kind by nature, the internet just takes that and amps it up.
"Anonymity corrupts. It turns good people into assholes and assholes into something unspeakable."
      - Arby, I think...
People need to be kinder to each other in general. But that is an eternal effort humanity must undertake that every single person can participate in. Be the change you desire. It's all you can do.

Not to jump to her defense or anything after her recent actions, I just don't think it should be up to anyone else to decide what a person's pronouns should be, especially when a lot of the reasons people have come up with to claim that her transition is somehow illegitimate are, at best, stretching the truth

Not to come after you or anything! I don't think you're being malicious by deciding not to use her pronouns. Just, as a trans person, I think it's harmful and unproductive to go out of your way not to use a person's pronouns just because others have accused them of faking. It accomplishes nothing and sets a harmful precedent for all trans people. You ultimately can't prove that a person is faking, and it's notoriously easy to pass made up trash off as "proof" on the internet

Allow me to explain a few things. Liquid Chris' trolling was an attempt to make Chris reflect on his own flaws and help him improve.
BlueSpike was highly regarded as a controversial troll, with how cruel he was. But as of now, BlueSpike does hold regret for how he treated Chris. I know that doesn't mean much now, but still.
And as Chris slowly lost his grip on reality and just as time passed in general, the Christorians decided to just not actively engage or mess with Chris and just leave him alone and observe what he does. As a result, The Idea Guys are largely hated because they really messed things up for Chris, feeding into his delusions and extorting money from him and are largely responsible for Chris' God/CPU delusions.
Isabelle is also hated for similar reasons and it's widely believed she's the one who talked Chris into doing what he did. She's also a horrible person in general, but still.
But major factors to him being trolled are his massive ego, short temper, willingness to believe anything, his hypocrisy, his near obsessions with women, and his homophobia. Did he deserve the trolling? No, not to such an extent. But he was opening himself up to it by responding and reacting. I know he's Autistic (i am too), but he should have been able to recognize issues and patterns, but his aforementioned ego and a few other things got in the way.
Blame also falls onto his parents (especially Barb, not that I'm saying she deserved what happened to her because she didn't) for not being more active in Chris' upbringing, dealing with his antics on the internet (I do get they're old and probably aren't that good with internet stuff, so I can give some leeway), and just overall not being good when it comes to helping Chris with his autism.
I also want to mention that the people on the CWCki DO actually want Chris to get help. Many are hoping he gets transferred to a mental hospital to get the help he desperately needed, but refused to get.

That Idea Guy stuff is one of the darkest and strangest true-life stories I've ever read. It was a psy-ops operation on a vulnerable individual, who lost what little connection to reality she had left after they were done with her.
Like giving Chris a 15 y/o wife character, pretending to torture said character in a very realistic way to make Chris do what they want, making her imaginary world into a n*zi death camp, extorting over $6k by threatening to blow it up in Photoshop...
And then there's Bella. Chris' life was never good but it's now a black hole of Junji Ito-level insanity.

@@theotherther1 The worst part about Isabella is that her end goal was to make Chris, well... end it all. Have him have sex with an autistic girl who actually did have a crush on him, Isabella would record it, and blackmail the two of them. And in the end, Chris would just... claim his own life.

The problems with the idea that Chris should've done this or that despite his autism are.
      A. That autism comes in a spectrum of different forms in different severities. Some people with autism go their whole lives unable to speak, let alone function like an average person at all. Comparing someone else's autism to another's ignores the nuances of it.
      B. There's an argument to be made that Chris's problems go beyond autism. He very well could have deeper undiagnosed problems that impair him in worse ways than autism.
I just wish people had the common sense to look at a grown man who believes Santa will bring him a girlfriend for Christmas and call a spade a spade. Chris is severely disabled and can't be held to the expectations of most adults. You can't just decide he should recognize this or that, especially on the internet where people harass him and tell him to hurt himself.

My life could have slipped into that self-obsessive dark pit of ego but thanks to refinement, humility, guidance, and finally having friends just before college, I can say that I was saved from such a life.
Family was loving and rollmodel levels of wholesome, gaming was but an enjoyment that I did not see as actual reality, late friends at my prelude before college, my personal bullies apologizing, etc.
