I'm no stranger to Sonic ocs. I made like three of them, one being a pair of blue twins. Of all of them, I only ever redrew the twin ocs and kinda fleshed them out a bit more. Even my art as a 12 year old was better than anything Chris made during adulthood.
I recall drawing Sonic-inspired comics of this level of artistic competence when I was in my 20s as well. Although in my case I wasn't dumb enough to put them online. Also I could have probably done the art better if I wasn't trying to pump out one of them every week as a gift to cheer up my bedridden, one-legged grandmother (long but true story. She was also a massive fan of Tails, so the comic eventually pretty much became "Tails the Chosen One and Some Other Guys.")

The reason for her having one leg was because of an amputation below the knee resulting from poor circulation in one of her feet (she injured her foot and because of the poor circulation her foot went gangrenous.) We put a wheelchair in her room so she could get herself to the bathroom and back, and myself and my mother took turns looking after her. Despite everything, those were good days. She was a grand old lady.

What's always confused me is that his art never improved. It's literally been the same style and level of... "Art" despite drawing it for over a decade or more. Just no improvement at all. It's crazy.

I remember looking for Sonic comics to read and I stumbled upon this little fella, I read the first issue for half a minute and thought. “What the fuck” I honestly thought an 8 year old made Sonichu and somehow published it.
I love how often Chris tries to introduce conflict in the comic to keep things interesting only to have the conflict solved instantly sometimes in the same page bc god forbid anything bad happen to his characters for longer than a second
There's an interesting metaphor for that during the idea guys saga. When nazis invaded cwcville it was the only threat Chris and hes imaginary friends had trouble stopping and in fact still rears its ugly head in the comics to this day. When reality is introduced into chrises world In a way he can't ignore it leaves long lasting consequences.

If you want to read Sonichu without reading Sonichu, go read "Rosechu's Story", it has better characters, better art, and a actually engaging story! Which is impressive and honestly funny that a fan-comic blow the actual comic out of the water in so many ways.
There's also "CWCollateral: A Tale of the Resistance", by Manajerkop. It's a black comedy deconstruction of Sonichu that shows what would really happen if CWCville existed.

I have autism and I started drawing around high school. But my art skills were on the same level as Chris Chan. However, I learned how to draw properly by following guides and my art has improved drastically. If I could do it, there’s no excuse that Chris couldn’t have too. The difference is he never wanted to improve.
Exactly. I drew in a similar way that Chris does up until the middle of high school, line by line as opposed to lightly sketching. I learned to sketch back in like 10th or 11th grade or so, so fairly late ig but also not quite? What prompted me to start using guidelines in sketches was my perfectionism kinda. Like, Chris has got EVERY opportunity to actually learn to sketch and properly learn perspective. Does Chris ever take the time to do that though? Of course not. Hell, for perspective, one of my discord friends started drawing fairly late around early adulthood (she also has autism btw) and her art is slowly improving and I could tell.
I like to do self insert stuff/fanfic as well sometimes (as cringe as it may be) for fun and i see nothing wrong with it, but the implementation of other real people, sexism, homophobia, and other stuff is just so fucking gross,,,

There's a reason a few characters come and go from the comics, a lot of characters Chris had put in their comics were inspired by trolls that were in contact with Chris at the time of that particular issue and characters created by them. The red haired Lady in 4:19 is known as the troll Ivy who was later written out of the comic once Chris found out she was actually a troll and not a genuine sweetheart, same happened with all of Chris' other love interests (with the only exception being the first one, Megan, who used to be a close friend of Chris' but left after they drew a.... very unsavory piece of art with her in it.) Some characters Chris got attached to were kept in the comics, particularly the female characters like the sheep (she's supposed to be the pokemon flaaffy i believe) beside Ivy (both made by the same troll) and the jigglypuff character(made by another troll, i believe it was the one called PandaHalo?), but overall most characters lose their importance in the comic relatively quickly in favor of making Chris the focus of the comic. Like you said, even Sonichu himself becomes more of a side character as soon as the "Anchuent Prophecy" arc begins and Chris gets their super hedgehog powers. In regards to Chris' gender, it's a bit of a hot topic within the community. Many refuse to use she/her for Chris due to a large consensus that Chris' transition is merely another one of their delusions and a futile attempt to get with a girl by regarding themself as a trans lesbian. This is backed by the fact that Chris will use transphobic language to address someone they dislike as it happened with a transwoman troll whom they deadnamed, mocked her transition and only referred to her with male pronouns. Chris does, however, usually address other trans people by their preferred pronouns. Some people simply don't want to be associated with Chris and would rather not accept them into the community due to their numerous mishaps, including using discrimitation against their identity as the reason many stablishments have banned them. (So saying that banning them is dicrimination against *all* lesbians and transwomen). Chris-chan's life is a fascinating descent into madness, so interesting and yet so pitiful. I honestly wonder sometimes how Sonichu would have turned out if the trolls had never twisted it beyond recognition.
I think it'd still be terrible, but Chris would be more emotionally stable and somewhat capable of acknowledging reality. He would think of Bob as dead instead of being reincarnated as another Sonichu, and he would think of himself as a human.
Hey, I’d say another saving grace of the Sonichu comic was the part in Sonichu #10 when Chris transforms in the comic from being represented by a drawn picture of himself to a photo of himself, but his camera isn’t big enough to capture his entire body, so he separately adds different pictures of his legs, which make them look all wonky and disproportionately large
This is worse than the cringy Minecraft comics I made when I was in middle school. Mine followed the adventures of a teenage enderman named Enderkid who fell in love with a ghast princess named Glowstonia. It sounds really bad, and trust me it was, but at least the characters weren't completely one dimensional and the comics had more coherent and stories than Sonichu. They also weren't riddled with homophobia, sexism, and self-inserts.
I am INCAPABLE, of coming even close to producing what Chris has blessed us with. Ever since I was 11, and started my own head story and universe, I have only ever gotten further from ever writing anything similar to Chris.

So when Sonic collided with Pikachu,a magic rainbow appears(yes really) and makes multiple eggs come out spreading throughout time and space,or something. Only Rosechu was the only other one to become a Sonichu in the same time zone as Sonichu was being formed. Also Rosechu is trans. Because rainbow magic. Yeah. To be honest I'm autistic myself and I personally think that the unpublished novel that I'm currently in the process of writing is most likely a great deal better then the big fat spicy flaming turd which Chris Chan wrote.(but to fair I also think that pretty much anything else would be a great deal better then what Chris Chan wrote.)

4:50 I feel like all of those thought bubbles represent the creature in some ways: The Sonichu represents Chris' denial; Lisa the Hedgehog representing the foreshadowing of his Mom Barb; the teal hedgehog representing Chris' denial on his IQ level or lack thereof; PikaKnuckles representing Chris' Evil and Pathetic Side; and the Orange One, oh heck even a robot had more soul and intelligence and social presence than that Chan thing, and smells cleaner too. And a robot is just a machine.
You know, looking back I always thought my art was bad. There was that one Pokémon ripoff I wrote about a girl called Mimi and her best friend Alison collecting magical cats and was also a ripoff of Cardcaptor Sakura. But in my defence, I was an 11 year old girl. Now I still wrote fantasy stuff, but I thank my lucky stars I'm not as delusional as Chris Chan was and still is.

I remember Sonichu had this Banana Dinosaur owned by Punchy Sonichu character for like one chapter and never came back again. Also not to mention that one bird that's a clear as day Kazooie ripoff.

I honestly wanna write a story about Sonichu and the rest of Chris Chan’s OC’s: but they are like horror movie creatures that basically commit way worse actions than the actual Chris Chan. to which they all die a gruesome death at the end due to how evil they are.

I've noticed too that a lot of discussion of CWC completely ignores the comic and focuses on his life. People typically only discuss the comic to make fun of the art style, or point out his Mary Sue stuff and writing people he hates in as villains to be killed... but I followed Chris-Chan info for like 10+ years without every knowing that he had a whole cast of other Pokefriends like Bionichu or whatever.

Chris's art style looks like how my art style looked when I was in 2nd grade. He's been drawing like this for years and never even improved. He never learned to sketch or properly use colors and it shows. He also clearly draws line by line with a ballpoint pen like I used to do as a kid/teen.

You know, only until recently have I given it thought, but I gave it some earnest thought now: Where are the other sonic characters? Tails exclusion based on childish jokes about Tails and Sonic being gay I can understand(Sorta, I would figure Chris would defend either characters straightness harder but I guess he felt Tails could be), but what about the whole other cast? I know Chris had a contempt for males, but I would figure at least a few would appear maybe. I'm shocked Rouge would not titillate Chris enough to draw one thing with her. It seems like his entire consumption of the series was just...Sonic himself. His entire cast is just variations of Sonicchu, and their all electric(again why does he like electric pokemon so much? Did he think Pikachu in the show was a proof of Electric being the best?). They are derivatives of derivatives. No personality or need to exist in anyway. He just frontloads his comic with these characters without doing anything with them.

I... wow, you're right. I never even thought of where Tails was. I mean there's obviously Knuckles in there (though he's "Punchy Sonichu"). But where's Tails, Rogue, etc.? Even the other Sonic rips in the actual Sonic-verse, like Shadow! He obviously never read the Archie comics of Sonic, either.
The sad part is that he seriously believed that doing what the Sonic fandom's more cringey parts and stealing 2 existing IPs was going to net him millions. It ultimately turned into an expose of what he truly believes in, a reflection of his current mental state and an extreme example of how to fail in art and especially creative writing. The only way one can possibly make money off of this ludicrous idea is to turn it into a comedic parody of the Sonic and/or Pokemon's worst elements of their fandoms and use it as a caricature to poke fun of them. You can then put a disclaimer at the start of your series to show that you are a fan-based parody and that Sonic and Pokemon are owned by their respective IPs. Once you get a following and establish rules, then you can do the zany shit and start up Patreon. You also do nothing about the trolls or you embrace their behaviour as plot devices for the comic. That at least takes some mental effort and you have to be very skilled at creative writing in order to pull this off. However, we all know that Chris was a fucking idiot, he had way too many demons and skeletons in his closet that both hindered him and made him the open target of ridicule, the way he wrote his comics is a jumbled mess and he seemed to be more motivated to pick fights with trolls and play with his games and toys than actually work on "his craft". He should have just quit while he was ahead and got a proper job instead.

There's a phrase in writing circles which is "Show don't tell" which basically means that instead of just telling the reader what happens, instead describe what happens. Chris obviously doesn't know this, and puts entire walls of text in his comics. I'd say there's more text then comic.
Hey I am thankful for sonichu. Our great leader Kim Jon Un is asking me a torture method that make people insane without killing them, so they gave me a deadline, I have to find a torture method in 5 day, or my family take a trip to the camps, and then I discover sonichu, it leave no marks, doesn’t kill, and almost make people go insane. And thank to sonichu, he found out secrets to traitors and got them executed with Chris chan singing, which make people heads explode. Save us some money from not using gun powder. We even found out Korean CIA spies. And guess who got promoted. Me now I am a general, and chief non lethal torturer expert. And now my family is not only saved, but we get 3 meals.
I don’t think people know how serious you were being when you said sonichu scars the readers mentally. It sounds like an exaggerated joke but it’s REALLY not. Sonichu is an unintentional psychological horror. I would honestly only recommend reading sonichu if you want to feel both disturbed and depressed for a little while.

I'm no stranger to Sonic ocs. I made like three of them, one being a pair of blue twins. Of all of them, I only ever redrew the twin ocs and kinda fleshed them out a bit more. Even my art as a 12 year old was better than anything Chris made during adulthood.
I recall drawing Sonic-inspired comics of this level of artistic competence when I was in my 20s as well. Although in my case I wasn't dumb enough to put them online.
Also I could have probably done the art better if I wasn't trying to pump out one of them every week as a gift to cheer up my bedridden, one-legged grandmother (long but true story. She was also a massive fan of Tails, so the comic eventually pretty much became "Tails the Chosen One and Some Other Guys.")

The reason for her having one leg was because of an amputation below the knee resulting from poor circulation in one of her feet (she injured her foot and because of the poor circulation her foot went gangrenous.) We put a wheelchair in her room so she could get herself to the bathroom and back, and myself and my mother took turns looking after her. Despite everything, those were good days. She was a grand old lady.

If you want to read Sonichu without reading Sonichu, go read "Rosechu's Story", it has better characters, better art, and a actually engaging story! Which is impressive and honestly funny that a fan-comic blow the actual comic out of the water in so many ways.
There's also "CWCollateral: A Tale of the Resistance", by Manajerkop. It's a black comedy deconstruction of Sonichu that shows what would really happen if CWCville existed.
But sadly,Chris had to go and be an uncreative prick and trace Rosechu’s story and make it cannon. Causing the comic to go on hiatus.

A time when their was a very limited understanding of autism among medical professionals. Also, Barbara 'Barb' Chandler doesn't really have dementia. She was faking it in those videos in order to gain sympathy. She is a master manipulator. She emotionally abused her husband, Robert 'Bob' Chandler, and Chris(especially Chris) for years. After Bob died, she forced Chris to give her buttocks rubs and spoon with her every night for years. She groomed Chris. If she really had dementia, she wouldn't have been allowed to be living by herself after Chris's arrest, and she wouldn't have been allowed to still be a licensed driver.

I have autism and I started drawing around high school. But my art skills were on the same level as Chris Chan. However, I learned how to draw properly by following guides and my art has improved drastically. If I could do it, there’s no excuse that Chris couldn’t have too. The difference is he never wanted to improve.
Exactly. I drew in a similar way that Chris does up until the middle of high school, line by line as opposed to lightly sketching. I learned to sketch back in like 10th or 11th grade or so, so fairly late ig but also not quite? What prompted me to start using guidelines in sketches was my perfectionism kinda. Like, Chris has got EVERY opportunity to actually learn to sketch and properly learn perspective. Does Chris ever take the time to do that though? Of course not. Hell, for perspective, one of my discord friends started drawing fairly late around early adulthood (she also has autism btw) and her art is slowly improving and I could tell.

There's a reason a few characters come and go from the comics, a lot of characters Chris had put in their comics were inspired by trolls that were in contact with Chris at the time of that particular issue and characters created by them. The red haired Lady in 4:19 is known as the troll Ivy who was later written out of the comic once Chris found out she was actually a troll and not a genuine sweetheart, same happened with all of Chris' other love interests (with the only exception being the first one, Megan, who used to be a close friend of Chris' but left after they drew a.... very unsavory piece of art with her in it.)
Some characters Chris got attached to were kept in the comics, particularly the female characters like the sheep (she's supposed to be the pokemon flaaffy i believe) beside Ivy (both made by the same troll) and the jigglypuff character(made by another troll, i believe it was the one called PandaHalo?), but overall most characters lose their importance in the comic relatively quickly in favor of making Chris the focus of the comic. Like you said, even Sonichu himself becomes more of a side character as soon as the "Anchuent Prophecy" arc begins and Chris gets their super hedgehog powers.
In regards to Chris' gender, it's a bit of a hot topic within the community. Many refuse to use she/her for Chris due to a large consensus that Chris' transition is merely another one of their delusions and a futile attempt to get with a girl by regarding themself as a trans lesbian. This is backed by the fact that Chris will use transphobic language to address someone they dislike as it happened with a transwoman troll whom they deadnamed, mocked her transition and only referred to her with male pronouns. Chris does, however, usually address other trans people by their preferred pronouns. Some people simply don't want to be associated with Chris and would rather not accept them into the community due to their numerous mishaps, including using discrimitation against their identity as the reason many stablishments have banned them. (So saying that banning them is dicrimination against *all* lesbians and transwomen).
Chris-chan's life is a fascinating descent into madness, so interesting and yet so pitiful. I honestly wonder sometimes how Sonichu would have turned out if the trolls had never twisted it beyond recognition.

Hey, I’d say another saving grace of the Sonichu comic was the part in Sonichu #10 when Chris transforms in the comic from being represented by a drawn picture of himself to a photo of himself, but his camera isn’t big enough to capture his entire body, so he separately adds different pictures of his legs, which make them look all wonky and disproportionately large
This is worse than the cringy Minecraft comics I made when I was in middle school. Mine followed the adventures of a teenage enderman named Enderkid who fell in love with a ghast princess named Glowstonia. It sounds really bad, and trust me it was, but at least the characters weren't completely one dimensional and the comics had more coherent and stories than Sonichu. They also weren't riddled with homophobia, sexism, and self-inserts.

I _had_ to learn lore because otherwise I couldn't understand what was happening in the comics. And I shall regret ever learning it for the rest of my days.

So when Sonic collided with Pikachu,a magic rainbow appears(yes really) and makes multiple eggs come out spreading throughout time and space,or something. To be honest I'm autistic myself and I personally think that the unpublished novel that I'm currently in the process of writing is most likely a great deal better then the big fat spicy flaming turd which Chris Chan wrote.(but to fair I also think that pretty much anything else would be a great deal better then what Chris Chan wrote.)

And it somehow gets even worse. Chris made some drawings in prison that show alternate versions of himself,magi-Chan,and everyone else being genderswapped and so on. He even made a drawing of him talking to his past self,to which he calls himself sexy. I’m not making this up. And Chris also includes UA-camr GiBi being this…stereotypical dumb anime guy. Why? You know, looking back I always thought my art was bad. There was that one Pokémon ripoff I wrote about a girl called Mimi and her best friend Alison collecting magical cats and was also a ripoff of Cardcaptor Sakura. But in my defence, I was an 11 year old girl. Now I still wrote fantasy stuff, but I thank my lucky stars I'm not as delusional as Chris Chan was and still is.

Chris's art style looks like how my art style looked when I was in 2nd grade. He's been drawing like this for years and never even improved. He never learned to sketch or properly use colors and it shows. He also clearly draws line by line with a ballpoint pen like I used to do as a kid/teen.

as an artist im usually nice about people's skill level with art because we all start somewhere. Chris however seems incapable of getting any better so i will point and laugh with the rest of humanity :)

Nothing about Chris's lifestory is funny. It is a tragedy. We are talking about a severly autistic person with the mental capacity of a 7-year-old who was failed spectacularly by their moronic parents, and who was driven batshit insane through being bullied, deceived, & manipulated online for over 15 years! Chris is a victim. I'm not saying that Chris has never done anything wrong, but ultimately, Chris is a victim. Chris was born to the wrong people at the wrong time. A time when their was a very limited understanding of autism among medical professionals. Also, Barbara 'Barb' Chandler doesn't really have dementia. She was faking it in those videos in order to gain sympathy. She is a master manipulator. She emotionally abused her husband, Robert 'Bob' Chandler, and Chris(especially Chris) for years. After Bob died, she forced Chris to give her buttocks rubs and spoon with her every night for years. She groomed Chris. If she really had dementia, she wouldn't have been allowed to be living by herself after Chris's arrest, and she wouldn't have been allowed to still be a licensed driver.

You know, only until recently have I given it thought, but I gave it some earnest thought now: Where are the other sonic characters?
Tails exclusion based on childish jokes about Tails and Sonic being gay I can understand(Sorta, I would figure Chris would defend either characters straightness harder but I guess he felt Tails could be), but what about the whole other cast? I know Chris had a contempt for males, but I would figure at least a few would appear maybe. I'm shocked Rouge would not titillate Chris enough to draw one thing with her. It seems like his entire consumption of the series was just...Sonic himself.
His entire cast is just variations of Sonicchu, and their all electric(again why does he like electric pokemon so much? Did he think Pikachu in the show was a proof of Electric being the best?). They are derivatives of derivatives. No personality or need to exist in anyway. He just frontloads his comic with these characters without doing anything with them.
You sir have raised an excellent point, despite chris' sonic obsession only sonic and Amy was ever in the comic, I hadn't even noticed that.

I mean there's obviously Knuckles in there (though he's "Punchy Sonichu"). But where's Tails, Rogue, etc.? Even the other Sonic rips in the actual Sonic-verse, like Shadow! He obviously never read the Archie comics of Sonic, either.
The sad part is that he seriously believed that doing what the Sonic fandom's more cringey parts and stealing 2 existing IPs was going to net him millions. It ultimately turned into an expose of what he truly believes in, a reflection of his current mental state and an extreme example of how to fail in art and especially creative writing.
The only way one can possibly make money off of this ludicrous idea is to turn it into a comedic parody of the Sonic and/or Pokemon's worst elements of their fandoms and use it as a caricature to poke fun of them. You can then put a disclaimer at the start of your series to show that you are a fan-based parody and that Sonic and Pokemon are owned by their respective IPs. Once you get a following and establish rules, then you can do the zany shit and start up Patreon. You also do nothing about the trolls or you embrace their behaviour as plot devices for the comic. That at least takes some mental effort and you have to be very skilled at creative writing in order to pull this off.
However, we all know that Chris was a fucking idiot, he had way too many demons and skeletons in his closet that both hindered him and made him the open target of ridicule, the way he wrote his comics is a jumbled mess and he seemed to be more motivated to pick fights with trolls and play with his games and toys than actually work on "his craft". He should have just quit while he was ahead and got a proper job instead.

I doodle on my free time (I will admit, I'm insecure of showing my Doodles TBH, so please respect that [could be my Autism screwing with me]). If there is one thing that worries me about being a Doodler, is not improving once.

There's a phrase in writing circles which is "Show don't tell" which basically means that instead of just telling the reader what happens, instead describe what happens. Chris obviously doesn't know this, and puts entire walls of text in his comics. I'd say there's more text then comic.

Our great leader Kim Jon Un is asking me a torture method that make people insane without killing them, so they gave me a deadline, I have to find a torture method in 5 day, or my family take a trip to the camps, and then I discover sonichu, it leave no marks, doesn’t kill, and almost make people go insane. And thank to sonichu, he found out secrets to traitors and got them executed with Chris chan singing, which make people heads explode. Save us some money from not using gun powder. We even found out Korean CIA spies. And guess who got promoted. Me now I am a general, and chief non lethal torturer expert. And now my family is not only saved, but we get 3 meals.
I don’t think people know how serious you were being when you said sonichu scars the readers mentally. It sounds like an exaggerated joke but it’s REALLY not. Sonichu is an unintentional psychological horror. I would honestly only recommend reading sonichu if you want to feel both disturbed and depressed for a little while.
