I love how in the middle of the lecture, someone (Best guy I think) asks "Are we close to Chris-Chan?" and Ben Saint doesn't automatically assume he means "physically." you can almost see Ben try and piece together how he's gonna respond to that, thinking it's like a spiritual question.
I'm sad that they clarified because I would have loved to see him answer that question.
I think he was going to say something like "We are pretty deep in the chaos of Chris's mind" or "Chris is on another plane"

I literally stole another kid's character in junior high school and started making cartoons featuring it for the classmates. Then my sociopath friend kicked him out of our friend group for no apparent reason. That guy was a good guy. We should have kicked out the sociopath. Of course we couldn't. He was a sociopath... he was much too dangerous.

Fun fact: the main reason it's so easy to read it this way is that Chris couldn't even bring himself to write the word "gay" in that issue, so he instead had Reldnahc describe himself as "open." This really makes it look like his only point of difference from Chris is that he is *openly* gay.

He's not the first. There was Daniel Johnston before him, and Henry Darger before him, amd William Blake before him...
I mean, the case with Henry Darger isn't necessarily applicable to this. While Darger wasn't perfect, he is WAY better functioning than Chris, almost normal if not reclusive. The neighbors he actually had had great love for Darger. Not to mention that Darger received NO recognition for what he did in his life until a short while before his death- all the things we know about him come posthumously and details are scant, whereas we know EVERYTHING about Chris. EVERYTHING.
And plus, Darger's art is actually worth a damn. If the auctions on his work are to be believed, a whole LOTTA damns.

Chris Chan’s life is so interesting, that if he was a fictional character, and his life was a meta-narrative around the story of sonichu (everything being intentional, from the terrible art and even the modern day stuff) , would be one of the best stories ever written, along with a pretty effective commentary on bullying, if not a bizarre one.
Edit: In light of recent events, Christine is apsolutely irredeemable in my eyes. Whatever you do, do not support them
The problem however is that for a bullying story to be effective, the bullied person has to be sympathetic. Chris-Chan is a horrible person to the point where every single one of his bullies are better people than him. The more you learn about Chris, the more you root for the people that fuck with him.

If anything some of them are debatably worse considering they are mentally stable unlike her. Like the types who spent long periods of time pretending to be in some quasi relationship with Christine. Alot of them took it way too far.

I first heard of him during an episode of Opie and Anthony (out of NY), not realizing that I had already met him. It took me a full year to realize that he was a local who shopped at the GameStop I worked at. We got a Christmas card from somewhere in Washington state pretending to be him that talked about, among other things, how he drinks his own semen with orange soda. How he got banned from PVCC (local community college) is a fantastic story. His story is so damn compelling.

@@ekathe85 Besides being out of date now, Knudsen made the definitive documentary on chris chan. I don't recommend Geno Samuel's series unless you have wayyy to much free time, and can even tolerate how dry those videos are.

Considering he was already harassing women and writing them complete with real name into his rage porn about how much he hates them well before the trolls got their hooks in him, he was already clearly not going to be a good person. If anything, if it weren't for the trolls keeping him occupied at home, he'd be a bigger danger, just look at the fact he hates age of consent laws and assaulted 2 people, over things the trolls weren't involved in. If they weren't keeping him online replying and shit he'd be out up to no good.
Before GenoSamuel's documentary, this was my definitive favorite Chris Chan video, and it remains my favorite outside of the documentary. God bless.
