They absolutely have to stop tearing down the ancient forests. Those precious few miles of pristine forests are absolutely integral to the survival of this planet. There are so many plants that grow only there. We could never replicate that perfectly balanced ecosystem. The rain forests of Borneo and Sumatra are over 13 million years old. They can replant trees and create new forests for the animals to live in as well as replant trees for the timber industry but we cannot stand by and allow those ancient, untouched forests to be destroyed.

It's unfortunate the majority of people are unaware of not only the hardships of the people of different countries but the animals and environment.
