I am really hoping that the statement at the end "the people will make sure the rainforest remains" is still true in 2020. Willie Smits is such an amazing man! We have been learning about him at school and he is truly awe inspiring! Thank you so much for all you do Willie and Co. x o x o
The project to protect the Borneo rainforest continues, on many fronts. Check out “Health in Harmony”. They pay for healthcare for poor Indonesians if they promise to NOT illegally take lumber from the forest. Sometimes patients can “pay” for their treatment by planting new trees. Also the Bruno Mancer foundation works to prevent the sale of tropical wood.
PrimatesHelpingPrimates in Holland together with Orangutan Outreach in the USA and BOS Luxemburg are supporting the work of Willie Smits in every way they can.
Spreading the word of what Willie is doing to save the world is very important.
Thanks to Paul King and his team and to Leo Hulsker for telling the story of Uce which makes me cry every time I hear it !
De mensheid moet dit probleem zeer serieus nemen!!! We moeten er alles aan doen om de orangutans te redden. Verspreid deze clip en laten we er met zijn alle wat aan doen!!!!!!!! Bedankt Willie Smits voor al het goede werk en ik hoop dat er snel een gelukkig leven terugkomt voor deze intens lieve orangutans!

1:56 part of this video is a out right flat foot lie to all the viewers. This Baby Orangutans name is ''Rumba'' & you can see see the full video of how these two guys killed RUMBA'S mom while he was holding on very tight to his moms rib area while she climbed up what looked like the only tree around (from the very large area that nearly all the tree's had ''just been'' cut down for the palm tree replantings that were clearly fixing to begin) anyway , Rumbas mom got herself & him as high up as totally possible & she was making the loud kissing sound that orangutans make when they are in panic mode right as the one of the two young guys were aiming a rifle at her ❤ , then as the gun was shot & hitting her directly in her heart you can see the half a second facial expression of eminence pain on her face as the bullet entered her body & as she died instantly with Rumba hanging on they both fell probably 40 or 50 feet straight down. They went over & pulled/tore Rumba away from his loving caring mom with his moms blood on his little chest & carried him away to sell , many different people owned or purchased Rumba over the next few years & sad story doesnt express the pain Rumba experienced the day his mom was killed or the sad years ahead of him that ill never forget.. (ITS CALLED ''THE STORY OF RUMBA) Watch this powerfully sad video that these people have used & changed the name of this little orangutan to try & get money im assuming for orangutan relief. Im 100% all for legitimate people asking for help to help these wonderful animals but i had to ask myself if this particular man is the right on to contribute to because of the words & babys name thats been changed to fit their agenda..
