- Sri Rahayu is making sure that Nyaru Mentengs 80 orangutanbabies are having a good life and that they take their first steps towards becomming released at Nyaru Mentengs forest school. After watching so many Orangutan videos for the past few months, I have made Orangutan my new favorite animal and I don't it will ever change. They are so gentle, funny and very cute and resembles us Humans.
I have the highest respect for the people who works there (or voluntarily) and really put their heart into it. Real heroes.

It's shocking how similar they are to us, they learn from one another and pass down techniques from generation to generation, just like us humans with our own community and family interactions. If we lose orangutans we lose an irreplaceable treasure the likes of which the world will never get back.

It's on my bucket list to cuddle with an orangutan.
They are so close to human in social manners- literally forest people. I'd lve to meet an orang, but i'd fear that i would not want to leave. They need LOTS of touch and contact-- these nannys are angels
