- Clean Snow Off Your Expensive Car With Leaf Blower and No Scratches
You could use a snow brush, a shovel, or maybe you just want to watch this video and see how you can clear snow from your expensive car. I've been using this technique for years and there are no scratches on my very expensive BMWs.
The big secret is essentially a leaf blower. I use a big Stihl leaf blower that I bought for a bunch of other things, but as long as you use it in a non-dusty environment, you won't even come close to scratching the paint.

Mark, the Canadian Snow Rake works great. For additional protection, take a microfiber towel and wrap it around the edges and push the snow off gently. The leaf blower yes, works fantastic.
Thanks for the tip. I have used that on my other vehicles too and it takes down the volumes quickly.
I used to clear snow from my X5 after work whilst working in the mountains last winter in BC and the air pressure of the blower cracked the dimming in my side view mirror. So i upgraded my OE mirrors with blue, Euro spec, wide angle side view mirrors!
Good idea But hope you don't have a karen as a neighbor screaming cause it's to Loud lol
Haha, no my neighbors are cool and I sometimes do some of their sidewalk
First time I saw a leaf blower being used to remove snow from new cars at the dealership was 10 years ago in the movie '' Le Vendeur '' de Sébastien Pilote
Nice. It works greet though
What's the x5 like in snow? Winter tyres?
I have all weather tires and the X5 is actually very good in the winter. Great traction control systems.
Mine is on summer tyres, they are the 315/35/20 and 275 at front. In snow the car is awful. But I guess they are summer tyres, and are far too wide for winter diving
Also forgot to mention. You can buy your parts from onlinecarparts.co.uk they are based in Germany and do and do various brands for parts, that's if you use a good indie garage.
The ice can also scratch with the speed too
The beard is gone!! You look 10 years younger, good move. Thank goodness we don't have to worry about snow here in Cali..
Thanks. I am thinking of buying a place in Palm Springs, close but not too close to the coast and weather is predictable.
@@ECPP Palm springs will be the exact opposite to your current environment. It's a city settled in the desert, dry and very, very hot. Who knows though? Maybe you will like it. The central valley is hot enough for me.
Nice. Yeah we spend a bunch of time down in Palm Springs and more specifically we often like to stay in Palm Desert, as we have found a nice little hotel close to the highway and quiet. We were actually down there with the whole town watching the fireworks at the 4th of July celebration. We like the heat and when we want to cool down, head to LA for some comfy temps.
@@ECPP That sounds like a great plan. We are right between SF and LA, so we visit both areas and we love it!
Sweet, one of out favourite and yet understated spots is San Rafael just to the north of San Fran. It looks a lot like our BC Okanagan.
Canada
this guy is rich
Thanks but not really

Car is a second largest investment. What's a first? A house?
Yes
@@ECPP ah, thought so. Thanks
I think it took long enough to get to the point and show us
Boring and too much bla bla bla with your expensive car...
