Oh my goodness! Thank you for this video! I have searched for ions for someone to create a silicone mold for holed beads! I know this video is a bit aged, but it JUST came up from my search. Whew! Off to duplicate your much appreciated efforts!!
I know I'm a bit late to this video but I just wanted to say thank you!! Not just for the tutorial but also for your uplifting style of instruction -- I just felt so happy watching you! :D Going to try this soon!
This video is helpful thank you! I tend to make molds of other things that I can't find in stores or things I have that are one of a kind. I will say that when it comes to beads I prefer to just buy the mold because it is about, $3.00 - $5.00 USD. That's just my personal preference for bead molds specifically! Thank you for the video!!! 😁😁
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I just finished up with the chocolate chip bars, and dipped the peppermint patties into chocolate and doing a 1/2 batch of Mexican wedding cookies...My aid leaves a post on FB what she wants saved for her but thats her Christmas present so hope she likes the present. I want to mold some things as well and I might try the silicone and cornstarch method to make moulds.. I watched a couple of videos.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I am done baking and made lunch, did laundry so Im about wore out I got up at 5 am so I think a nap may be in order..lol.. Malaysia sounds so exotic and hopefully you have some leisure time while you are there or something inspires you I will look forward to your videos while you are away. Time is flying by.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Hopefully the week there goes fast and you get back to your craft room to decompress. I miss working but I don't miss the place I worked. I will leave it that..I have one more pan to wash and I think I am done...
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I need a dedicated craft room but I think once I get the shelving unit in I will be able to get organized and be more careful to put things where they go its a hot mess at the moment. Hi Steve, very nice video and easy to follow and see as all your others...I just thought you said you would post a link to the supplies you used it maybe list them? I am wondering what kind of silicone you use and also what kind of resin? Thanks so much Steve!
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts awww Steve...no problem...you are super nice and very creative...and now I did see more of your videos and you did mention Resin 8... there is a gal in here doing tons of videos for resin jewelry for teenagers...very cute stuff...but she refuses to give her supply information...it is super frustrating as for people who are just hobbyists like myself...I just discovered that there are so many different BRANDS of resin alone with all different qualities and it is very expensive to buy and learn as u r going along...what about ur molds...do u make them or buy them? Thank you and wishing you so much success in your channel!
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Hi again Steve, I discovered a wood burning tool works great for fixing resin. I have a Plaide Stencil Cutter and bought additional nibs from Willow Hollow for wood burning. The pen gets up to 750 degrees and it works great to soften the resin. I just rub the warm piece on a cold smooth tile and all my newbie mistakes are Melting away! 😁 Thanks again for the inspiration! ❤
Hi Steve, this is a great tutorial vid and I have a question for you, where did you get those cute little silicone pouring cups I have been looking for some like that but cannot find them anywhere?
I love your videos... BUT (there's always a "but", huh?! 🤦🏻♀️) I would have LOVED to see HOW you removed the beads from the mold so that I do understand HOW to removed them from my "made" mold 🙂 Also, for some reason or another, this video DID NOT show the "link video" to the "how to make a silicone mold" video that you said was in a previous episode 🙂

Did you glue the beads in the mold first?
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I really needed this😁😁😁

Why do you heat the knife?
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts thanks for the quick response!
Very cool! I'm going to try the hot knife on polymer clay. ❤️
