Oh Mary, these are stunning galaxy effect pieces. I can see thecred/yellow ones being eyes though. You should be extremely proud of what you've done it's all worked beautifully
Hi Mary , l think you should be proud of the end results , they look really nice , well done . I’m just a beginner and love the way l don’t have total control over the end result but I’m always pleasantly surprised. Old Bill .
Thanks so much William. I also love the fact you never really know what the results are going to be like because it's so different from the astronomy drawing I do that has to be accurate and carefully drawn
@@marymcintyresfxartcraft7417 Well outer space is a cool thing, right? Though if your trying for something else it could get frustrating if you don’t get exactly what you were looking for, I get that. But they did turn out pretty anyway❤️
It's really easy to figure out how much resin you need for your molds. I bought a bag of rice and I keep it in my craft room. Whenever I get a new mold I fill it with the rice so that's It's level. Pour the rice into a measuring cup with ounces marked on it. I write the amount of ounces on the back side of my mold. When I'm ready to make some resin objects, I just add up the numbers on all of my molds. For example if I want to make a vase that needs 6 ounces and some jewlery that takes 1.5 ounces. I add up the numbers, 6 + 1.5 = 7.5 ounces. I mixup that amount and I have enough resin without having extra. It has saved me so much time and money. 💰 You need to get some sandpaper and just sand your pendants flat. Super easy fix. What your seeing in the cabochons is micro-bubbles.
That's a really great idea, thank you. I didn't see much of a flattened surface with resin, but if I made something from a heavier material I suspect I would, so it's a good idea to hold it up somehow
Thank you :) I will finish them off and list them on my online shop once I'm back from holiday. I go away on Saturday for a week so I don't want to list new things yet as I won't be able to post anything until I get back home
They turned out so beautiful Mary, I don’t know what I was expecting but they surpassed it. Such lovely and dreamy pieces ❤❤
Thanks so much. I was so relieved that they worked after the scare of them taking forever to cure!
Well done for creating these galactic beauties, and all from your own mould too. Very, very gorgeous ❤ thank you for sharing x ❤
Thanks so much Apple :)
I really enjoyed watching the processes here, and the results at the end are so beautiful and unique.
Thanks so much for watching Peter, and for the kind comments :) Hope you've had a nice bank holiday weekend x
Thanks Mary, you too! @@marymcintyresfxartcraft7417
These are awesome, white dots and all. I wouldn't change anything!
Thank you :) I was so sad when I first saw the dots but within a short time my brain had decided that I actually liked them after all :D
I have had those white dots when I have not stirred color into the resin. But these are super pretty! Thank you. 💐
Thanks Kathy. I was so disappointed at first, until I realised they all looked like galaxies and the dots were like stars!

Thanks so much. I was holding my breath a few times during that process, but love how they turned out!

I love these they're so beautiful. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much :)
They really turned out pretty I think. They remind me of outer space. I really do think they are cool❤️👍🏻
Thanks Pat. I end up with space inspired stuff even when I'm not trying to!

Pretty looks like galaxy
Thank you. I was definitely hoping for spiral galaxy when I made them :)
They are so beautiful.
Thanks Kath :)

Thanks Holly. I have actually used the rice measuring method before on larger moulds, so I really need to do it more often!
I do this but with water and measuring in mils, very handy!
I think these are beautiful
Thanks Colleen. I had a few scary moments in the process but I'm so happy with the results :)
Love these
Thanks Tina :)
When you use the biggest mould put it on top of the pastry cutter and you wont get a flat bottom.
That's a really great idea, thank you. I didn't see much of a flattened surface with resin, but if I made something from a heavier material I suspect I would, so it's a good idea to hold it up somehow
These are so perfect ❤will you be selling them?
