If you’re going to be drilling your own beads look for a bead vise. It’s an adjustable clamshell that lets you position the bead with a hole that marks the same spot on both sides. Super useful for this kind of thing instead of holding the bead as you drill 😉

I follow a person that makes custom resin dice on TikTok, and she dunks things like the foil and flowers in resin prior to putting them in the molds that already have some resin in them. She says it makes a big difference to help with tiny bubbles that get caught around whatever is being placed in! I’d love to see you try that technique, maybe even a side by side comparison of each way!!

Another way to get rid of the dip is to put a little resin at the bottom of each of the molds and pop the bead back in with the part with the dip at the bottom. Let it cure and pop it back out. You can't tell the dip was there.

I love this mold! I have some foam that came in boxes of nail polish, and that's what I set the beads on when I drill the holes so I don't have to worry about drilling my hand!😅 I just found an Etsy seller that makes 4mm and 6mm sphere molds that have a little well on top to make sure they come out as a full sphere, so I'm super excited to play around with those when I get them!
