      This is the way. $3/month for breakdowns, that helps most to effectively break down not just the finer details of real time execution, but insight into a fighters game plan and adjustments and/or lack thereof. Most people spend years (decades) to gain this kind of insight, plus he breaks everything down in plain English so you can accelerate your accumulation of fight analysis IQ. We spend 20x $3/month for the PPV. Are you saying this cat ain't worth it? Skip a PPV fight and support dawg for a year. He's doing it for the love of the game, the game should show him some love in return.

      That turn isn’t IQ so much as the Black American boxing style. Ortiz, Lopez, and now Haney all did the same thing cause it’s taught at the early stages of learning how to box.
      Loma’s footwork has always been gimmicky and neutralized by “Mexican Style,” or “Black American Style.”

      but what you guys need to understand is.. when haney does that. ( turn with loma) in the eye of the judges. it shows control. then devin would pop in and land 1-2 power punches and pop out with no reaction from loma. regardless if loma is walking him down or not. it shows ring generalship, and control on dev's behalf which wins him those round.

      @@Duel1982 for me Davis vs Garcia was determined at the contract negotiations. I knee Garcia had little chance fundamentally. Makes too many mistakes. His only chance was his power and then that was stripped away in a weight rehydration clause put into the contract. So every single advantage went to Davis. No belt on the line even tho Davis held a WBA interim belt at that time. Thats not very competitive to me. Nothing at stake but somebody's 0. Crazy people care about that more than Undisputed.
      In Loma vs Haney it was at 135 with no rehydration clauses and for all the belts between 2 of the most fundamentally sound guys in the weight class. I'd rather watch that.

    Along with incredible reflexes one major reason why loma did so well was because he did not respect haneys power. In the teofimo fight loma was very apprehensive towards teos power but in this case he knew and also felt that haney doesnt ve the power to hurt him so he was hunting haney all night. Haney has arguably the best jab in boxing today but the way loma neutralize it was a thing of beauty. It was definitely a close fight but not close enough to give haney the victory. Some fights are close but they ve definitive winner and loma was a clear victor in this fight.

    Why is 90% of the video showing Haney's body shots. and 10% showing Loma scoring ? all the Haney fans keep talking about are the body shots. but not one of the body shots did any damage. Loma never buckled one time. never even backed up or looked like he was hurt from any of them. not once. and every round that was given to Haney could've easily of been judged either way because they were that close. but the rounds that Loma won were not close rounds. and the 11th round Loma totally took control. more so than any round that was given to Haney. I do think it was a close fight. but I consider Loma being robbed because it is very obvious that one judge was not going to let Loma win. giving a 116 to 112 score says it all. it was corrupt.

    "the American judges on the top rank, Bob Arum Card were crooked"
    Lomachenko, The Top Rank, Bob Arum favorite fighter fought Jermaine Ortiz,in a Razor close fight, that was officiated by 3 AMERICAN judges..in New York City
    One of those had it an Incomprehensible 117-111 to Lomachenko. Gave just 3 rounds to Ortiz... The American.
    The others had it 116-112, 115-113. Unanimously. In a fight that the Crowd thought Ortiz won, that Even Usyk sitting ringside thought Ortiz won.
    Where was the outcry to Penalize the Judge that had it 117-111? Like they are for Morretti.
    Where was the outcry for Ortiz being widely scored against in a fight he arguably won.
    Kills the "American in america" bias. Lomachenkos entire pro career was conjured in America. The fans that pay
    for and attend his fights are American. He is loved more here, than actual American Haney. Was fighting on his own promotion, Haney being the free agent on a deal by deal basis. Neither fighter possesses the kind of punch either Davis or Stevenson possesses. Lomachenko’s punches are even weaker than Haney’s. Lomachenko counts on judges giving his little pitty pat touches the same weight as the heavier punches being landed by his opponent. Lomachenko couldn’t compete with the heavier punching Haney, let alone with Stevenson or the devastating puncher Davis. A better matchup would be a fight with the newly minted lightweight Inoue.

    You negated to mention that Haney is a chronic diver and well bend so far down at the waist he's practically kissing his toes half the night and he'll remain down there for extended periods until the ref steps in knowing full well if an opponent continues to punch him it will almost certainly be considered an illegal shot at the back or kidneys. Haney also likes to hold, A LOT. And he'll hold on tight any and every time he feels like he's in the least bit of danger. And then we have Haney's turn tactic where instead of bending down and kissing his toes he'll simply turn completely around exposing his back until the ref steps in. And then lastly, and my favorite thing about Haney's Bitch style of boxing is that he likes to spike his elbow out before starting an offensive attack. He's lucky he didn't severely hurt Loma several times during their fight with that disgusting elbow spike Haney uses. He literally uses his elbow to spike other fighters. A spike that could easily do significant damage to his opponents.

  • @mark46702003
    @mark46702003 11 місяців тому

    Great analysis! Another reason of loma landing more eye catching blows, imo, is because haney using that phily shell pull-dip defense too much. He gets low a lot so loma stays on top of him and control his neck. This position makes loma’s attack becomes more eye catching. If Haney uses a physical high guard a bit more, it will open more counter opportunities and definitely make loma seems less dominant

      A lot of these guys purposely don’t sit down on a lot of punches. They sacrifice power for quick reaction or defense. Haney has enough pop to make the vast majority of fighters to not get overly reckless.

    • @maema539
      @maema539 11 місяців тому +1

      Appreciate the reply and knowledge. So is the sacrifice these fighters are making a result of a general decline in skill or just a preference coaches and fighters have in this day and age?? I’m basically asking if there any skills todays boxers could learn that would allow to sit down n their punchers when needed and still stay safe or if getting power in punches means that you just have to live with a decrease in defense and quick reaction??

    • @BoxingGems
      @BoxingGems  11 місяців тому +3

      @@maema539 Yes of course. Normally it’s the ability to distribute weight/slip and load sides properly. It isn’t easy to master. However the slip or pre-slip will put the majority of their weight on the lead or back leg so the power properly comes from the ground up with the rotation of their hips. Then they have to learn to get their head off the line post punch as well. The issue is normally setting these loaded punches up without a tell.
