I've got a disco 2 the fuel pump on it is noisy as hell and never goes quiet and if the fuel goes below quarter tank it konks out like its out of fuel, do you think its a cheap and nasty pump on it and changing it to a better quality one it will resolve the issue, cheers.
Hmm thats a funny one, I have a friend who also has a loud fuel pump but even after getting it changed it was still loud? You may have a few issues there, the fuel sender may be getting stuck giving a false reading or your fuel tank has a lot of crap in it which clogs the sock on the bottom of the pump. I would get hold of a new pump with the fuel tank seal then take the current pump out to have a look inside the tank then swap in the new one. Naturally I recommend the Bearmach unit, let me know how you get on!
@@RorysWorkshop yes deffo will let you know its also down on low power, found oil in ecu plug not a lot just a little so I've ordered a new fuel harness also the wastegate actuator was sticky its freed now but the more you look into the d2 the problems you find 😅 will keep you updated cheers pal 👍
The gas version wasn't a big seller in the UK but the diesels were far more common. I do have the V8 version in Saudi Arabia which I need to film an update on really. The fuel pumps are essentially the same only the diesel one has 4 connectors and the gas ones have 1 or two depending if you're in the US or not.
Have I got to remove rubber seal off the tank It is hard rubber with old age

Why so many diesels? We have gasoline versions in America.
