We all used to love seeing David with Daphney & Crowbar. Great segments.
David was the case of a son doing this for his dad. Didn't want to wrestle as he wanted to be a cop but enjoyed be around his father who wasn't around. Got put in the ring and wasn't ready or skilled. Got flack from fans and wrestlers and yet didn't have the ego that people thought he would have. Just was was Ric Flair's kid and unfortunately a pawn in this wrestling game.
Finally, he's living his dream of being a cop though!
Are you sure Ric wanted it? Not David thinking that his feet can fit the big boy's shoes and he ended up tripping over them. Jeez David made McMichael look like Ric Flair.
@@stuartday1330 Multiple people have confirmed that David didn't want to get I to the wrestling business. He grew up wanting to be a state trooper which is what he is now.

Eric doesn't need to apologize to David Flair. He needs to apologize to all the talented mid-card guys who should've gotten David's TV time. I don't think any amount of prep time or training would've helped David Flair. He was not meant for the business.
They put the US Title on David Flair. The devaluing of Titles started way before Arquette and Russo winning the WHC.
David flair had it made. Big paychecks, u.s. title, stacy & daffney....i dont feel bad for him at all, lol. Glad megadeth was mentioned. Nitro had a number of musical guests on the show. How about an 83 weeks episode about that?
I think the last years of WCW were still fun, just in a different way. And they should have known when to pull back from crash tv and focus on the bigger moments however long they went.
Should've just embraced the boos and just be a nepo baby heel. Look how amazing Dominik Mysterio is doing.
Dominik for all his limitations has an intrinsic understanding of the industry, and is surrounded by some very skilled workers who can mask his weaknesses. Every time we saw David Flair in a WCW segment, the look on his face was like an office intern on his first day at Google.

Best thing about David Flair was that we got to see Daffney.
David Flair himself had no business whatsoever being on TV, and especially in an in-ring role; he couldn't talk, he couldn't wrestle, he couldn't sell, he had zero charisma, he had the physique of a teenager who spent all his time sitting on the couch, and he could barely walk through the ropes without tripping.
Every time I saw him in the ring I was reminded of Bambi trying to walk on ice.
Eric completely forgot about Asya or however her name was spelled. She was supposed to look like she can tear your head off. She was your version of Chyna.
What happened to David Flair is currently happening with Bronny James.
That guy got everything handed to him and still screwed it up, i don't understand why Ric Flair hates bischoff after all the favors he did for his son.

It's a shame he didn't get more time to develop, but I loved the stuff with David Flair & Crowbar. I actually became a big fan of his during that time. I really enjoyed it. The crazy aspect of his character during that time disguised a lot of his weaknesses very effectively, and I think it could have really worked if it had been given more time to develop. Flair, Crowbar, and Daffney really had a lot of chemistry together.

if you've forgotten how bad he was Wrestling Bios has been doing the 1999 era this year. David was the worst i have ever seen in the ring. he makes vince mcmahon look like HBK. i dont even know how someone can be that bad. Eric was better than he was. How and why they put him on tv i will never understand, especially since Eric and Ric had been on bad terms

David flair vs undertaker was a classic
David Flair was unbearable at first, but teaming up with Crowbar and Daffney was the best thing that could happen to him, those segments were pretty good.

I don't want to attack David Flair as a person, because he seems like a decent fellow in real life. But it's not "too much, too soon." He just had no business being in the pro wrestling industry at all, period, full stop. He had no more business being a pro wrestler or even a manager than I have playing basketball in the NBA.

Eric Bischoff Wasn’t Given Enough Time To Send David Flair To The Gym As He Was Not Given Enough Time To Gain Back WCW Momentum/The Only Reason Ratings Dropped Were Because Of Injuries Of Top Stars & The NWO Disbandment Because Of That. Noone Expected David To Succeed. With His Nonbuilt Same Size, The WWE Would Push Him Today Having Him Beat Big Guys. AEW Would Make Him Leader Of The Elite Or Young Bucks. Shame.
