  • @MrRicklynch57

    Something briefly mentioned was Ted Turner lost control of his Turner assets as the company grew due to mergers. Along with WCW, his other "toys" like the Braves and Hawks were also sold. The local TBS channel in Atlanta was also sold and TBS became a cable only channel. It is impossible to own private interests in a public company as more and more shareholders come in.

      Bischoff had ask Hogan to turn Heel, but he wouldn't, but when he saw the opportunity to team with Hall and Nash he took advantage of it.
      I think if Bret Hart hadn't resigned with WWF, I think they were preparing that spot for him.
      But Bret Hart resigned, but after his fight with Shawn Michaels, I feel Michaels told Vince McMahon he would leave if Bret Hart was still there.
      Michaels being the younger of the two.
      Vince McMahon choice HBK over Bret.
      That's why they tried to Brets popularity, just before he left. Bret Hart said this himself.
      I think Vince McMahon made an excuse on why he couldn't honor Bret Harts contract. The contract wasn't that big, but it was lengthy. Vince McMahon made lots of money from Bret Hart just in Canada.
      So I firmly believe ñ, HBK , Vince McMahon plotted his downfall.

      He bought em out of spite and buried their biggest stars that agreed to work for him. Afew made it through the cracks and got over. RVD and Booker were two major ones who Vince couldn’t hold down. Took Booker awhile but he got over. And any big hitters they brought in later they buried but what didn’t help them were some came on board at the latter ends of their careers or when they were in bad physical shape.

    • @silxix2599

      Vince McMahon is smarter than that. He got close to ECW to kill it. He got to get close to their talent, and when TNN made the deal with ECW, Vince McMahon had TNN replace ECW with WWF Raw. Vince McMahon had people in the inside screwing WCW.
      WWF took top ECW talent, and use that fan base to help him beat WCW in the ratings.
      Every time ECW got a talent, & let them shine, Vince McMahon would snatch them. He took Austin, Foley & Lita from Paul Heyman. If Heyman had the Money he could've ruled wrestling. He just needed to make the adjustments the WWF and WCW were trying to do.
      Not like Vince Russo, if you watch the Documentary, he did lots of trash TV.
      And getting the Title right after Arguette had it, hurt the lineage of the WCW Titled even further.

      @jays447 5 місяців тому

      Uh no.... Towards the end of WCW, they was struggling to the point where they had Vince Russo & David Arquette win their World title. That had nothing to do with Vince McMahon. WCW was on the decline at that point.

      Man y’all still believe that conspiracy of McMahon sending Russo to kill WCW. Here’s the problem with that claim, WCW was already struggling and on their deathbed before Vince bought it. Yes he ruined a lot of the talent there because he’s a petty and egotistical pos but WCW already had gone downhill once the finger poke of doom and Warriors return happened.

    • @silxix2599
      @silxix2599 5 місяців тому

      @@dmercy8477 Maybe it could've done better had Russo not gone there. He did too much trash TV. Even though I think if someone helped McMahon, it could've been anyone. Nash, Hogan, even Bischoff. They did their stuff there, but the booking Nash did, the money that was thrown away, & the chaos the wrestlers caused, politics & so much more.
