Aew fans always like to mention that dynamite is about to surpass nitro in number of episodes but forget to mention how dynamite will never surpass nitro in terms of ratings, attendance and just being a red hot product like nitro was.
I always mention how WWE Main Event has been going since 2006 and has something like 3X the number of Nitro episodes. But the only people who ever saw them were the fans inside the arena waiting for their episode of Raw or Smackdown to go on the air.
So what Shitpact I mean Impact Wrestling has been around for 22 years Nobody has watched since it was taken off Spike TV.
The entire nitro run up to Bischoff going home in 99 blows anything AEW have ever done completely out of the water. It’s not even close.

Ric Flair feuding with David & Goldberg vs Steiner is way better than a The Vanilla Midgets on AEW. The ratings were better. Mid August to Fall Brawl 2000 was actually the only part of 2000 that was good.

I remember back in the mid to late 90s, WCW shirts were pretty popular and people were regularly posing like or quoting Sting, Hogan, Flair, Macho, and Hall. I've yet to see anybody wear an AEW shirt and almost nobody talks about AEW other than hardcore wrestling fan circles.

I was watching late 2000s wcw recently. The main problem is all the run ins and it’s a little all over the place but 2 immediate things I noticed is that it’s never boring and the star power is insane they had more star power in 2000 than wwe does right now

As someone who watched WCW and WWF during that time I can honestly say WCW was by far a better wrestling program than aew. WCW had the better stars, better matches, better production. And even during wcw last days it was STILL getting more ratings than aew.. wcw had around 2-3 million in viewers. I don't know what tony Khan is drinking ..but it must be great and I would like a glass full of it 🤣

Newer talent would have more big guys than small guys. Guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan would remain in the cruiserweight division.

The absolute worst of WCW was better than anything AEW has done. At least some of the people had actually gotten laid and been in a real fight before.
WCW pulled in 5+ millions viewers per week.
AEW started out at 1.5mil and has only gone down from there, now they're barely breaking 700k.

Just my opinion but I think AEWs biggest problem is they played to the indy smarks right out of the gate and now cannot get away from it. OK, MJF and Osprey was a PPV main event worthy match but that's not happening every week and the undercard is a mess of conflicting styles.

Tony Kahn has never done his homework on the history of the business and he especially doesn't know jack about the inner details of WCW. WCW was an actual competitor for WWE. AEW has never felt or could have been able to make a mark against WWE at the height of the Austin era, as Eric did with WCW. Tony could never beat or compete Vince, HHH or even The Rock. AEW is fine but I don't think TK has much of a clue.
