I was at that concert as a 17years old. It was my first concert ever. I have never heard a live band as good as Queen. It blew my mind!!! I will never forget that show.
Why does Queen always sound better live??? This group is beyond spectacular. There will never be another band that even comes close to these guys. R.I.P - Freddie Mercury.
Talent. God-given talent. Sheer hard-work! A mix of those why they sound better live. Freddie's awesome personality is also on show live. Auto-tune could never improve peak healthy Freddie. Freddie is better than that. The skill of the musicians cannot be improved by any technology. They are better than that.
Well, Freddy was on stage whole heartedly, it wasn’t a performance, it was more like a communion with the public as if everyone was in a party. The stage was his natural element and there was no us and them. People felt like they were part of the show not just spectators. Raw natural talent didn’t hurt either. And to achieve this isn’t easy, you need to be very at ease with your skills and who you are. Also it took years in the making to get to what is visible in this video. We were all fortunate that these 4 misfits found each other and gave all the other misfits in the world some very special moments that we will cherish for a long time.
I LOVE it when Freddie looks right at the camera right when he about to hit the huge note right in the beginning...like he’s saying ok...be sure you get this!!
I'm constantly surprised that more people don't comment on what a tremendous job Roger is doing singing while playing the drums, that isn't easy to do......especially as well as he always does it.
All of them were musicians, they all wrote number one hits and they did as a band, nobody was the leader or head of the table. They all used their talents to create something special. And these songs never going to get old. Legendary 🕯️
Here's some trivia. Look closely and you'll see that he drank from a paper cup. The plastic cups contained beer. The paper cup contained honey and lemon tea.
Thanks, Rebeka - seems as though you also recognized the BAND, right? No matter how great Freddie was, he could not have done this performance without the stunning support of Brian, Roger and John... that's Queen --
Thank you for your video! You just put me back straight at that show. I am a 52 year old Montrealer. I was at the show you reacted to. I was 11 years old. My older brother brought me. My first live show. It was PERFECT 🤩
The entire band is on fire on this song. Roger is amazing singing the whole time while smashing it on the drums. Brian's solo is beautiful. John is spot on the bassline and Freddie's voice is incredible. Great song, excellent version. Thank you for this reaction.
it's not all beer, actually he usually drank hot green tea with honey "his assistant provided hot drinks throughout the concert" or just water ... he is so loved and missed .
Apart from Live Aid this performance is right up there with the best. They were really at their peak here, and everyone that sees this is always blown away
I went to my first concert in July, 1982... Queen at the Philadelphia Spectrum. It was their last American tour, and it was about a year after this show. My ears rang for three days afterwards... It was a mind-blowing show! There's no band quite like them. Queen and Freddie Mercury are both one of a kind. Glad you can now experience their magic for yourself... This music is timeless! Freddie was VERY shy off-stage... but once he got on stage and picked up the microphone... LOOK OUT! He OWNED that stage.
Four fantastic great musician no auto tune,no backingtracks jus pur talent . I've been there right from the start with Queen I've seen this video many ,many times and it still knocks me off my feet . What a loss to the world Freddie was RIP . Its great to see young people finding and loving Queen music loved your reaction from a new subscriber
After the sip of beer and near the end of his vocal climax, you will see a tear run from his left eye and down his cheek. He preformed with such emotion!
Roger had more vocal talent than the majority of the lead singers in other bands, that just goes to show you how talented and musical geniuses all these guys were!
If we could go back in time, you’d fit into a Queen audience perfectly. That’s exactly what Freddie brought out of all of us- awe, excitement, and total inability to sit still. Freddie would love your reaction. He LIVED for what he could do to us. Bravo, you! 💛
Watching you smile all the way through, is exactly how I feel when I watch this video...happy! If I can’t get my fix of it every day, I start craving it. I’m a Queen tragic, absolutely obsessed with Freddie’s. His voice and stage presence is just so incredible. Nice to see you come back again so quickly after Live Aid, I hope you keep going. Next check out White Queen live at Hammersmith 1975. Early glam rock days, long hair, skin tight white satin, and a performance that showcases just how musically talented they were (and still are, even without Freddie) it will give you chills!
As a Queen and Freddie Mercury fan since 1974 it is great to see not only a young person but a person from another country who loves Queen and the late great Freddie Mercury as much as his fans from decades ago. Your reaction to this video was absolutely brilliant and it's great to see you enjoy there music also Freddie's incredible voice. Freddie may not be around in person but he does live in the minds and hearts of his Legion of fans worldwide. His music and voice still makes me proud to be British as he was one of our fellow countrymen. He was a gift from God not only to his home country of England but a gift to the world. 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
My favorite Queen song ... you should also do the same song at Milton Keynes. So full of energy & charisma!! Freddie wrote this song inspired by Aretha Franklin. Freddie declared it was his favorite song & tho Bohemian Rhapsody was his masterpiece he thought Somebody to Love was his better song!! ❤️ The Mercury Magic!! Great reaction!!
Late 1970s, early 1980s, I worked part time at the Montreal Forum, the place where this show was filmed. As an employee, I had the opportunity to see all the shows and hockey games presented at the Forum. So I had the chance to see this show with a stage pass, it was the 2nd time that I saw Queen live at the Forum. I also had the chance to see Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, Moody Blues, The Woo, Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Supertramp, Nazareth, and many more, plus countless of hockey games. The best job of my life.
So what do you remember from those Queen concerts, what were emotions after? I guess Queen toured in Forum (LA) in mid or late seventies, when they were still raw and much more glam/heavy rockers, with lots of energy - the decade which I like the most, and would like to see, if there was time machine :)
@@Lawyeris The crowd did not want to leave the stadium at the end of the concert. Although the roadies dismantled their equipment, we could still hear the crowd asking for more.

I could see the emotion suddenly hit you at 6.50. The enormity of what you were watching overwhelmed you. I love watching people reacting to music I have been listening to for over 48 years, especially Queen who are one of the loves of my life along with Everton Football Club and my wife of 35 years! I have watched a lot of videos of people’s reaction to music I love and I think yours is right up there girl. You got it. You felt it. You reacted like being lost in the music. If I had hours to spend with you in person, I would gladly tell you why. Believe me, they are like no other band in popular music history!
Your reaction was magnificent! This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest single performances of a Queen song because the whole band is involved throughout. Note especially Roger Taylor’s fantastic drum work & backing vocals in addition to Brian’s lead guitar solo. Loved your reaction to this!
Rebeka just discovered your channel. I watched the live aid reac first and cried with you. I saw queen in 1976. I was only 17 but I knew I had witnessed greatness. And yes, life isn't fair at times. At times life just sucks. Keep up the good work.
Here we see a band live performing in a period when lipdup was common. Rebeka, I enjoy how today´s people recognize the quality of real music. Keep on rockin´! 😍 (after the concerts Freddies mic was filled with spittle... )
Terrific review and reaction Rebeka! You must watch and react to the live version of Somebody to Love at Milton Keynes. Montreal is grear but Live in Milton Keynes is absolutely incredible. Thank you again!
Roger, John, and Brian were the greatest "back-up band" possible for Freddie's talent. In the Queen movie, it depicts Freddie "returning" to them as they all realized they had the perfect storm. There are, of course, other multitalented legendary bands, but none better than Queen.
Rebeka, youre absolutely right. Freddie Mercury, Queen in general were amazing. No matter what they did, they ruled the stage and the music world. Still do in fact! The most phenomenal part which has never been matched by anyone is the way Freddie could hold the audience in the palm of his hand and command their reactions and emotions with a simple gesture. He belonged on stage, performing and making music. Oh, and thank you for being so open and honest with your reactions as well. It's ok to shed a tear as I know they are tears of joy. His legacy lives on. Might I suggest you do a reaction to the tribute song the other members did? "Only the good die young (no one but you)". The video is simply amazing and the lyrics, well be prepared to cry your eyes out. Keep doing these reactions. PLEASE!! ....... Tim
@@The1queencollector I don't know, for some reason I haven't watched that one yet. I do know I was in Madison Square Garden, opening night of the US leg of the Game tour in September 1980 and the set was similar to this one with one exception, they played a bit of Brian's song "39" that night.
I recommend "In the lap of the Gods" A Night at the Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 in my opinion one of the most passionate and heartfelt performances of Freddie👑
Hi Fran, my favourite Freddie moment has to be Wembley Stadium in 1986, Love of my Life, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand, simply stunning, Freddie at his absolute best!! 😀 😀
I have one of the most eclectic music tastes and I’m sure it’s because the first band I ever fell in love with was Queen. I’m 38 and though young I know I cried the day he died. From about the age of 5 I used to always put Queens album on my mum old HiFi system when I came home from school. Their music still makes me happy today and I’m sure it always will 🤘✌️
Why doesn't anybody ever mention Roger Taylor on the drums? This was Roger at his best with his skill and that wonderful voice. You did an amazing reaction and except for Roger, you did it justice. Thank you!
Hi Rebeka, great to see you reacting to a true musical genius and God, that is Freddie Mercury, he was born on September 5th 1946 on the island of Zanzibar just off the coast of Africa, he passed away on November 24th 1991 from AIDS aged 45, i thoroughly recommend that you react to him singing Love of My Life live from Wembley Stadium in 1986, it's simply stunning, you won't be disappointed, These are the Days of Our Lives is another one you should do, you'll need a tissue for that one!! It was his last appearance on camera, he passed away about 5 months after this was released!! 😀 😀 RIP Freddie!! 🙏🙏 Freddie was also the kindest and most humble person too, when he was on his deathbed himself, he bought Christmas presents for everyone in the AIDS ward at the hospital near his home as well!! 😀 😀
I am enjoying your reactions very much. You let us see your honest response and enjoyment of the music without pausing the video every 10 seconds. (Other reviewers do that and it's absolutely maddening!) I know this was a year ago but I just found your channel. Howdy, from a new subscriber in Texas, USA!
Y'know, it may just be me...but reactors just grooving out to the music, being expressive and free, makes the work transformative on it's own...there's been much controversy lately about reaction channels of people who just sit stoically and say "Wow" or "Damn" every once in a while...but you've got the spirit...never stop feeling the music! I love it. For whatever reason, the algorithm recommended you to me, and now you have another sub...lol...
The quality of this concert is always commented on. It was recorded for theatre release which is why the picture and sound are of such high quality. It has been released a few times but most recently on dvd and blu ray including the live aid performance.
I love Queen's music since I first heard Boh Rap. And I love this song, and this version. But I enjoyed watching the shear, honest joy you showed watching and singing along. Thank you.

Queen 👑 the best!!! Freddie mercury is a legend bro 😎!!
I just LOVE your enthusiasm... I had the fortune to see Queen and Freddie live in 1982 (the same tour as this was) and 1986.
The best live performance of all time, Freddie's vocals are out of this world, Queen were and still are a great live band
This is my first time watching you. It's easy to see you recognize talent and you feel the music and not just talk about, I like that.
(after the concerts Freddies mic was filled with spittle... )
Rebeka White Queen Odeon Hammersmith 1975 a stunning performance.
So much for you to listen to Queen forever.
I will try to do my best. Thank you for your suggestion.:)
Terrific review and reaction Rebeka! You must watch and react to the live version of Somebody to Love at Milton Keynes. Montreal is grear but Live in Milton Keynes is absolutely incredible. Thank you again!
Thank you.:)
An amazing piece of history. What a legend! Heard this version for more than any of the songs I've heard in my life.
PLEASE!! ....... Tim
Yes Rebeca the greatest band music of al times, there no way to compare to any other, Queen is unique so as the genious freddy mercury
The Beatles just said “been there done that!”
I'd highly recommend "Save Me", which was a new song off the Game album back in '81, next. It's part of the "Rock Montreal 81" concert.
I actually think the live at the Milton Keynes bowl is even better if thats possible
@@The1queencollector I don't know, for some reason I haven't watched that one yet. I do know I was in Madison Square Garden, opening night of the US leg of the Game tour in September 1980 and the set was similar to this one with one exception, they played a bit of Brian's song "39" that night.
Yes, I will try to do my best.:) Thank you.
This is exactly I would react to this songs. Thanks for doing it for me 😀🎶😎
You're welcome.:)
Rebeka, Imho, you are the most beautiful poster on UA-cam!
And, I love your reactions!
Kudos, Sweet Lady!
I saw them 12 months before this concert in Birmingham England I was 13 years old, I’m 55 now and is still the greatest night of my life
I recommend "In the lap of the Gods" A Night at the Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 in my opinion one of the most passionate and heartfelt performances of Freddie👑
Hi Fran, my favourite Freddie moment has to be Wembley Stadium in 1986, Love of my Life, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand, simply stunning, Freddie at his absolute best!! 😀 😀
I will try to do my best. Thank you for your suggestion.:)
@@terryweir8352 Oh yes! That too was a great moment I would say legendary but he was already aware of its greatness. ❤
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusicJust by listening to his music you are already doing your best. 👑❤
Thank you!
Is so gratifying see a some young people really appreciating real good music.
Great review fantastic performance. I have found someone to ❤ just watching you enjoying it.
I don't know if I was excited about the music or the beauty, you are a princess, many hugs from the heart, bay kisses
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I will try to do my best.:) Thank you.
You are so adorable. Tx for reaction. Love the one and only Queen !
The quality of this concert is always commented on. It was recorded for theatre release which is why the picture and sound are of such high quality. It has been released a few times but most recently on dvd and blu ray including the live aid performance.
Such a great performance of such a great song. Love that you were lost in it :)
Thank you so much.:) Yes, they do that to us.:D
The begining of this song is just mindblowing! Nobody gets even close to that! NOBODY!
Bring on more Queen! Long live our iconic Freddie👊🏾✌🏾👑
I will😊
I love Queen's music since I first heard Boh Rap. And I love this song, and this version. But I enjoyed watching the shear, honest joy you showed watching and singing along. Thank you.
Love your reactions, Freddie the best singer ever and a great human kind.
