You all noticed the metal plaque riveted on the passenger side of the dashboard, it says “Paint & Bodywork by Speedway Paint & Bodywork”. This car was built by legendary NASCAR stock car builder Robert Gee Sr. in Harrisburg,NC on Hudspeth Road off Highway 29 (CONCORD PARKWAY) just off from the 1st & 2nd turns of the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He was Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Kelley Earnhardt Miller’s grandfather on their Mother’s side (Brenda Lorraine Gee Earnhardt Jackson) Robert’s daughter that married Dale Earnhardt Sr.❤😊
We had a no a/c manual steering 73 Satellite wagon back in the 80s and agree, it really wasn't bad unless you were trying to park. Hey, my 100 lb sister drove that car for two years at LSU and she managed to survive! 😀
That sound is pretty much as good as it gets. Chrysler Hemi with a NASCAR cam
U need 2 hit the interstate with that so the elephant under the hood can BREATH 😢
He ran out of fuel?
@@Toby_the_Glen Did he?
Someone is going to be cleaning spark plugs now lol
Love this view! You should do this with every vehicle for sale. And including a cold start with this view. So cool!
Damn.............. a mans car, this. A wild ride for sure. 200MPH+
That's exactly what I was thinking a real man's car 🚗

Amazing noise but the amount of steering input needed is insane.
No power steering.
Probably why the steering wheel is not completely round anymore.
Slow steering at slow speeds designed in so its not a twitchy handfull at 200+ mph
Power steering in these old cars was dangerous as hell you need muscle like the car not power steering.
What about some back story/history of this stock car ? And maybe some video of the exterior, showing the whole car.

The Hemi was gone in NASCAR by ‘74…it would have been near the end of the big block wedge, almost the time they started running the smallblock Mopar…
Some kid has a smile from ear to ear.
This is love....💜💜💜
Well that was disappointing didn’t even get it out of third gear. Certainly sounds cool.
Good on you for this fun little bit.
Why is he afraid of it, drive that thing or get someone else!
That sound really puts into perspective whats happening in each of those eight cylinders.
No technology- just balls!
Mmm back when stock car still meant stock car 👍
Maybe stock appearing but nothing really stock besides the sheet metal. Today's Nascar racers don't even have that.
@johnmcmullen456 oh I know but still.. way more stock then today lol
Yes Sir ....Music to ears !! .....Cool after dark, R-Detector on after dark Inter-state street car !!!! ....
Wear night vision and let the late night flight begin....
Now that would be the thrill of a life time😄
I wish I could see it 😢
Great work car
Yes l concur 👍
Your sitting at a red light then this beast pulls up next to you and you think what in the hell 😮
Not a cold start 😂
Awesome
I'm thinking a power steering pump is in order.
None of those cars had power steering back in the day, the 90's saw power steering come to Nascar.
@@thud9797Power steering first came to NASCAR in 1981 at Martinsville Speedway on Geoff Bodine’s NASCAR race car.🏎️ ❤😊
You don’t really need it unless your making a turn setting still

Power steering?
Just the thing for the school run and shopping.
I think...that the thing is just a little bit..but just a little...freaking noisy...😆😆🤦♂🤦♂👏👏👏👏
And manual
All were manuals and still are.
Half this video is waiting for an opportunity to pull out onto the road.
You could sure tell that it's a handful to drive in traffic, much better at 80-100 mph I'm sure!
WOW!!!
I’d drive it daily
Moonshine runner.
Didn’t even use his blinkers.
I went to a race one time that was all Dodges and nobody won.

It's like letting loose a TRex in a shopping mall during black Friday
Music
I’m surprised you can drive it on the streets
Well, that was uneventful 🤷♂️
Cool video, cooler if you had dropped the hammer for 1 second
Neighbors would love me in this Democrat EV world we live in...lmfaoo
