Wow, very impressive. I love that you are showing us that with good portaging judgment ( and water level selection judgment) and a good deal of skill, you can safely access hardshell kayak multi-day classics such as this, with one sweet difference : a much easier hike in. As a sixty year old kayaker , to say this increases my hike-in options is an understatement. I want a packraft ! Carrying a hardshell is awful when you’re 25, much less three decades later. And , I love the sheer variety of rivers you’ve run here in the West.
Right on Alex!
Unreal man. Your paddling and your videos are on a whole new level my dude.
I have been waiting a decade for this. It just came about five years too late for me. Thanks for showing us it's not just possible, but that it will likely become a steep-creek packrafting classic
yup this will be, totally able to pick it apart - looking forward to seeing who else goes after this plus the parts we missed.
IS a Nice River and good movie. Greetings ronactive
I was just telling an old school kayaker that this was coming. Nice job.
Really beautiful - and more than a bit daring. Thanks so much for the great video.
Круть несусветная!!!! Красота и виртуозность!!! Браво!!!
Incredible and such a beautiful area!
Awesome! Looks like an amazing adventure, thanks for sharing with us
Brilliant! Love seeing what the new Alpacka's are capable of in the hands of Class V kayakers with good judgement!
thanks! I am however not a kayaker (partner is)
jeffreycreamer You had me fooled. ;) More power to you taking packrafting to new levels. I’ve been a whitewater kayaker for about 36 years and started packrafting in 2014. Seen a lot of rivers and carried heavy boats into remote runs. Still haven’t run stuff like the sections of Upoer Cherry in any craft. Great video, and kudos on knowing when and where to walk.
@@AlaskaTeacherTech Jeff is my hero. He shows you don't need to be a hardsheller to be a bad-ass boater. Maybe this is the future of boating?
Really nicely done guys. That series of lines starting at 3:00 looks like no joke.
Great video.Look forward for more !!!!
Well Done! This was next on my list, but was too busy guiding on the Kern and exploring locally this season. Great video and nice to see it go so well. Congrats!!
cool, aiming for Kern next! A lot of cherry goes in a PR but the lower flows required for the bigger stuff would translate to many unrunnable slides elsewhere I think
W O W - .... speachless!
Very nice!
I'm glad I hiked down Cherry Creek before it was kayak-able...
Damn dude
Is the blue boat a Wolverine?
Yes
На 1:07 жесткий контакт! Надеюсь, все нормально обошлось?
I lucked into no contact with rocks there
