First 5 hours in the game: 2 hours overwhelmed by character classes and building my character. 1 hour getting to Oleg's. 2 hours figuring out how i want to level my 3 companions. LOVE IT
Kinda nitpicky here but, "Character class" - Race "16 Different Roles" - Classes Then you say "Character Class" again but in reference to the Classes That is a confusing way to refer to things. Also not all characters have a Heritage, Deity, or Domain Etc.
you all probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@William Simon I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I just got Pathfinder for the console, I have the PC version, too, and finally gave it a go. I really enjoy it so far and stumbled across your videos. Very nicely done, I left a sub. Looking forward to your Pathfinder content.
Mulder GameChron Glad to help in any way I can. I like to see the little guy get his dues. Not that you or your channel are... you know what I mean. Lol. I’ll sub if you promise to cover this game as much as possible. I did grab it so I’ll need my figurative hand held a bit. I’m fairly new to CRPG-types as I’ve been mostly console for a decade.
some casters should also invest in physical stats, and some martial classes should invest in mental ones, also, domains are a gods sphere of influence, not where a character comes from
2:45 I'm interested in this 'Celtic" class. Domain isn't where your character comes from, its what type of god your Deity is. It's only available to classes that deal with the Divine type of magic and not Arcane. Inquisitor, Cleric, Paladin and Druid (To an extent, Ranger but they don't pick a Deity). Magus, Bards, Wizards and Sorcerers do not have access to this choice. Sorcerers have a different one called Lineage.
Yeah I noticed some other stuff like this too. Some of the wording was wrong or ambiguous. Overall, though, a very good video, especially for folks who are new to CRPGs.
Is anyone else annoyed at crpgs that have only prerendered portraits? I feel like ALL crpgs should be like divinity in that your portriat should look like your character you created not some forced look. Nothing more immersion breaking then that for me...
Being able to import your own art is great though! I've saved up a lot of art for reference to my dnd characters and this gives me an excuse to use them.
@@jacobmartinez1986 uhh its been a while so i dont remember each step but you can search pathfinder kingmaker custom portrait and you should find a guide
Frankly this was a bit confusing and I have to say rather teeth grinding. You refer to races as classes in some moments, but the most confusing part was when you were talking about how you'll get more favor from a deity if you focus on their favored weapon but then choose Trident when you went with Urgathoa as a deity choice. Some of what you say makes sense (when using the correct terminology) but then some of your selections are not making sense for what you're trying to convey. I also need to add that not all of the races get that heritage choice. Only a couple do.
@@MulderGameChron Awesome! I just recently stumbled upon this gem of a game and I'm hooked! But the mechanics, specially character creation and combat is a bit difficult (understatement of the century) to wrap my head upon. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check your other videos as well. Looking forward to that combat guide. Color me subscribed!
Hello! If you enjoy those games you will find things to like/love about Pathfinder Kingmaker. It’s a game that has its fair sense of challenge that can be difficult in key moments but each loss was a learning moment for me which when I returned to fight that key enemy again I knew how to defeat them. The story and Kingdom management system is well done and fun. One down side the game does crash here and there but not enough to kill the vibe of the game imo :).
divinity 2 is a much better game.. but pathfinder is pretty challenging.. you have to inspect your enemies before you go into a fight, prepare the proper potions.. lacking 1 certain thing, can really lose the battle for you. they do challenge you right away, putting strong mobs in low level places.. so its important to inspect things, and not taking them for granted. they alert to danger, or what type of magic/attacks you could be up against.. depending up on your characters LORE score. knowing all the abilities/benefits of your characters, is not easy to memorize.. you really have to compliment each other skills in order to succeed in some fights.. you can fight the same fight twice and have very different outcomes.. but sometimes, you just get overwhelmed and have no chance in hell, unless you have the proper spells/abilities. still new to the game, but it appears.. you need various weapon sets for all types of scenarios. some weapons are useless against certain types of mobs.
I play a thug. a rogue that uses cheap tricks to pummel enemies. debuffs are very very useful. monks seem to be very awesome in this game. choosing your reputation is very important as well. You for instance, can be chaotic evil reputation, if you want to play a vestigile hero. choices can be limited. Get the game, go monk class. get 2 nunchuckas. but make sure you pick Lawful first!~ --- lots of things need to be taken into account as well, that are not explained.. don't line up with a tree in your way, or a rock..shooting from the inside of a bush seems to work great for me. bushes are now my friends. Use your enviroment to your advantage. It doesn't alert you like divinity 2 that you are not going to hit your target. You can really flub up some attacks if you don't pay attention. higher ground is better, if you are in range.. know your range! don't exceed the range.. you miss, move closer.. keep missing then something needs adjusted. I play it on turn based and swap out of turn based on easy critters or when I know I'm not in much danger. It's neat you can swap back and forth between modes. Confusing at first, but learn with turn based.. pay attention to spells.. cast times, make sure not to get interuppted.. then what you do is, turn off turn based.. and just roll with the punches.. to learn your abilities a bit better. turn based for crazy fights. position matters. don't give your side or back up to enemies. side attacks, flanked attacks are considered sneak attacks. this game has excellent DND MUDD rules. Has a very old school feel to it.

Casters should also invest in Dex. Your range based spells will miss with a low dex.
Cool, did not know this was out already! Will be picking it up now. Good video Mulder.

Great video but saying "classes" when talking about available races could be confusing

Good guide but you describe every thing as class. Race is class, class is class, archetype is class. Madness
My tip would be play it on PC. That console UI and framepacing is unforgiveable.
Your in game combat UI looks so different from mine, in a good way. Is that a mod?
I think it's just an older ui
