Role playing should be about fun and rp, not beating your head against a rock with unnecessarily optimised builds. I’m playing on challenging and trying to avoid difficulty adjustment.
@@unsungnpc8918 As an experienced tabletop and PnP gamer, I’m not afraid of the odd negative stat; however, Watching character builds by UA-camrs who set most stats to 7 is painful to watch. @@tjv2446 EXACTLY. 100% agree. I take 1 stat maybe 2 to either 8 or 9 at most. Never below that. You don't want a character, especially your main character, to be so utterly min maxed. That's why I never preach that type of building in my videos. Design to have fun and do cool things. Not to win.

I don't know what planet I have been on but I just heard of this games for the fist time two weeks ago and didn't even know about the board game but I know what Dungeons and Dragons is but never played it, so I am not knowledgeable about the rulesets. I found this game by looking at strategy games on Amazon and started watching videos on it and ordered a copy because it looked cool. I also play mostly on PS4 so my options are more limited. Now, I love strategy games, but I seem to find fault with almost everyone that I play. I don't think the Baldur's Gate Collection has aged all that well, Icewind Dale does not click with me, Planescape Torment is ok but its all about the writing, XCOM is a bunch a cheating AI, Civilization puts me to sleep, Divinity Original Sin was ok but lost steam a ways in, Original Sin 2 felt like I was only fighting overly bloated magic armor stats, Diablo is way to repetitive, Pillars of Eternity 1 was ok but got board around 30% in, I heard Deadfire was better but thought it was worse in every aspect and had never ending loading screens and Planetfall and Dungeon Keeper got old fast. I did like Dragon Age Origins, KOTOR and Jade Empire by a very large margin. With all that said, so far I am about 15 hours in and just started over because I feel I missed a few key things being new to the series and need, for the fist time ever in my life, HELP from a few videos here and there.
