FINALLY i've been waiting on this :) Edit: After watching the vid, im glad i know blender enough to understand everything you just said lol. It's actually quite simple, but i would never in a million years figure this out on my own! Adn it's much better than a 1 hour tut.
The gradient texture for the particules (14:15) don't work for me, it appears black. And i'm not in eevee. It feels like the gradient don't recognise the particules as an object because try generated i have at least the color.
Hello Nice tutorial! But I am facing an issue while making the material for the particles. My particles show a single color, either all are yello or all are purple. I checked my node tree and I think it is the same as yours. Please help me to get the different colors on the particles.
If you are using a prticles system to colour them, then make sure you are using cycles as eevee doesnt support random colour. If thats not it, try messing around with the scale of the noise mask for the colour.
I have a problem with the texture for the particles. When I use the first ColorRamp with the texture gradient it doesn't work. I am sure the parameters are the same but it doesn't change anything
I don't know if you ever look back at these comments, but I followed your video and figured a few things out along the way. But got stuck on the Vortex Force Field. No matter what position my plane was in, the vortex was create 90 degrees off.. thus spinning the entire plane rather than the particles. Yes, it was created on the Z axis when my galaxy was on the X/Y axis and then on Y axis when I placed it on the X/Z axis.. centered but always perpendicular. I tried to look it up and could find nothing. I tried to turn it but the vortex turns with it. Any Suggesttions?
Sorry, I don't often respond as I have been extremely busy over the last two years. As for your issue, I'm not exactly sure what is happening with your particles from your description but it sounds like they have some initial velocity when they are spawning which is causing them to fly away. Another issue could be that they are not spawning on the correct parts of the shape. It is always a good idea to open a blank blend file and having a go trying to replicate this same issue or avoid it. That way you can try and troubleshoot your issues as they come up. Hopefully, that was of some help. Good luck.
@@dreamsprayanimation From what I can tell, make sure you are in rendered view for cycles. It normally appears around the origin so if that is somewhere outside of the box you will need to move it using mapping nodes.
1:15 oddly satisfying

Yeah, it's not the most beginner friendly tutorial out there. I'll try to make better explanations in the future.
Thanks man. This is literally the best tutorial about making galaxies out there
At 2:15 you scale the particles in the viewport. I'm in Blender 4.2 and don't see this option.
8:32 Now youve even got proper point rendering, which ist probaply the best choice right now
Hey man, when I extruded the circle at 1:30 it doesn’t all go inwards, it goes in one direction to the side :/ what’s happening
same
PRESS E+S then move your cursor inwards
Great work 👍

16:39 It doesn't work for me on Blender 3.4. In this setup, emission doesn't light up the object nor the scene.
the stars wont blink when looking from outer space because there is no atmosphere that makes them look like they are blinking
Oh, but the sun does have an atompshere
@@Skirbiy no it doesnt, bruh
@@churchel. The corona is the outermost part of the suns atmosphere, a simple google search before commenting could help.
@@churchel. A simple google search will clear up your doubts
@@Skirbiy it doesnt even matter if it has an atmosphere or not, what he meant is that EARTH has atmosphere which makes it look like stars are blinking
YES!! WOOHOO

texture for volume not working

Smoke color is black for me no matter what color I pick. Also it doesn't render.
Try changing the shade of the colour, making it lighter or darker.
@@mmorkeyy2 12:45 The gradient doesn't appear on my volume, I tried it on a regular box and it appears. what gives?
