Agreed. Growing up I was yelled at for basically not wanting to be mistreated by my brother. Honestly, it messed him up too - that behavior didn't fly at school or even just around his friends. He had no guidance and my only guidance was to stop having a problem with abusive behavior. There's this aspect of emotional neglect to it as well because this is the stuff that parents are supposed to be doing - teaching healthy conflict resolution and respect for others. Charli is being taught to make excuses for abuse instead of protecting herself and Dixie is being taught to make excuses instead of addressing her problems. No one comes out if that "right" without a lot of work. (And I'm leaving age out of this because it's beyond doubtful that this only started when they were older. This was most likely happening before TikTok was even a thing.)
I’m an older sister and I’m constantly evaluating my actions with my siblings. Just because I was dealt a worse card than them doesn’t mean it’s their fault. I would never treat my sister the way Dixie treats her. It’s not Charli’s fault that Dixie isn’t as famous as she is.

As someone else who has PMDD, it is absolutely not an excuse to be an A**hole. It's ridiculous that they are trying to use a medical diagnosis as an excuse for her to be a b*tch to her little sister, and pretty much everyone else. She's an abuser and I feel for Charli, it's clear she's been conditioned to accept this type of behavior. It makes me worry for her safety.
What makes her an abuser is the fact she’s self aware and doesn’t seem to make any effort to change her behaviour. I also have PMDD but I have BPD too and I can honestly be really terrible, but I work every day, in every interaction to change that and make it better. Dixie goes “I have pmdd so I’m a bitch get used to it” I know she’s young but that’s absolute trash behaviour and the parents should have stepped in a long time ago.
I have PMDD too and to my knowledge I have a more severe case of it that the average PMDDer (I could be totally wrong, I am not a professional). I recognise how Dixie behaves in myself. I've never had a relationship with someone like the one between Dixie and Charlie, and I obviously don't know them or what goes on in their lives. When you are being abusive and having a PMDD episode at the same time, you are still being abusive. You still need to apologize, recognize your behavior, adopt habits to prevent it in the future, etc.. And PMDD is not an excuse, it's a reason. Probably isn't the only reason she acts this way towards her sister, but it is one reason why. For me, PMDD causes intense delusions and paranoia. I can think that people are out to hurt me or ruin my life, even when there is no objective evidence for it. PMDD really can cause people to be delusional and very paranoid, as well as generally dysphoric, and they can act horribly while thinking they're in the right. It's not an excuse, it's a reason. She needs to get professional help for her PMDD and work on changing her behavior and she needs to apologize for how she's acted towards her sister. It's not going to happen suddenly, but it should happen as soon as possible so she doesn't have to be in these PMDD episodes still and so she won't keep treating others this way.

Charlie can't get help when everyone around Dixie is focusing on her and making excuses for her while Charlie is literally being broken down by Dixie and nobody cares. In the grand scheme of things too yea she's young but she's still and adult that apparently cant see right from wrong let alone take any accountability for abusing her sister. A 13 year old is more emotionally aware than her. I genuinely think Dixie is incapable of taking accountability or being a better person in general. There's no excuse for abuse and she's honestly just a terrible person. I wish I could feel compassion for Dixie because I know how it can feel to be in a vulnerable and emotional position because of a disorder. I've been abused but even with my bpd I've never been an abuser. I just can't bring myself to feel any compassion for her. I have no compassion for abusers and I have no faith in her ever changing until its too late and something happens to Charlie because of Dixie and their parents actions.

But knowing that I have it, having a therapist, etc. has helped me at least try to do better or at the very least try not to lash out at people and just keep those emotions to myself. You can't get rid of it but there are ways to do better and to even just be aware of it.

People behave as if mental health issues is just something rich people have or that it’s somehow universal. I learned different ways of coping and also when and how to have certain boundaries with friends and family during certain times so I don't let my irritability and sometimes overwhelming feelings negatively effect others. I’m not diagnosed with PMDD but I do have BPD, I guess the stereotypes are similar haha… and yes it’s definitely NOT an excuse to hurt anyone, with therapy and self care you can live a normal life. This biggest thing that happened is that UA-camrs Supermega (Matt Watson and Ryan Magee) got called out by many people (Including Nick) about how they handled a SA between their employee and Nicks friend, who goes by Lex Updog. They took the blame and apologized for not firing him soon enough after hearing about the assault their employee commited on Lex and has since uploaded to Supermega. The problem with the videos that brought up these allegations is that there were many other details pinpointed about Matt and Ryans character that were either lies or just straight up unnecessary things that had nothing to do with the assault to paint them in an even worse picture and throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. Such as their sex lives and claims of homophobia (that was later debunked by Matt who showed receipts.) The worst false claim was that they called their late friend daniel who took his own life a "coward" and they have said this is not true. Supermega got what was coming to them, but now Nick and Lex are being called out for essentially weaponizing M and R friends suicide against them in order to deplatform them by lying, which is pretty hypocritical and fucked up of Nick considering he always talks about mental health. He has not apologized for it and has been doubleing down over social media, pretty much ignoring his critics which makes it even worse. I got diagnosed with PMDD at the beginning of last year. It is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me and there is no cure and no good treatment. It's causes slef injury, attempts, random EXTREME anger and irritability, disabling pain, paranoia, delusions, mood swings, depression, lonlieness, dysphoria, etc. When you are having these episodes, you feel these emotions to such an extreme for no reason, and your brain wants to make sense of it so you end up blaming the emotions on whats going on around you. I take birth control every day at the exact same time with no breaks, and that has been the best treatment. I don't have this kind of relationship with my siblings, but I do really feel for Dixie. Even when I look back on how I've acted in my PMDD episodes when I was starting puberty (I'm 18 now), it's still so hard to see the reality in the situations because in the moment you feel like you are SO correct. Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder is majorly about the dysphoria. Pure dysphoria. Dysphoria makes you randomly feel like something life ruining is happening or about to happen and you need to do something drastic to save yourself. Like, someone at school or work is trying to be my friend but my brain is telling me that they're trying to kidnap me so I avoid being near them for however long this delusion lasts. If Dixie is having episodes this much, she might want to try constant hormonal treatment, like what I do, because if your body is going through menstrual cycles at all, then you are having constant episodes. And, again, these hormonal fluctuations cause your brain to convince you that everyone is out to get you and that your life is ending. It is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me. If one day I am even late on my birth control by 40 minutes, I will be having constant episodes for the next THREE WEEKS. It never ends. It is such a constant struggle. I would do almost anything to not have this disorder. It ruined my life before it even began.
How would you want someone to go about supporting you with your PMDD? My boyfriend has it and I want to know how I can help him, I’m so sorry that there isn’t a good treatment for PMDD :(
Yes! I have PMDD too and hormonal therapy has really helped me. I only have it the week before my period each month and it has helped me with the physical and more importantly the emotional symptoms I was having because PMDD would have me in a severe depressive episode for about 2/2.5 weeks out of every month.

I know a lot of people who went to school with D'Amelios and the consensus is that Charli is super sweet, but Dixie has always been this way. A disorder may explain some of her actions, but she has to be aware of what is affecting her and what she can do to prevent harm. I've had attempts before and if my loved ones were to be angry or call me a coward, that's perfectly valid. I know my best friend was, and I am too at my old self in a way. PMDD is horrific to experience and I can't imagine going through that on reality TV while being cast as the "villain" it made me suicidal and have a short fuse for three weeks out of every month. I could go from 0 to "want to kill myself" from a stubbed toe. One time I was so stressed before my period that I contacted a crisis line to set up a safety plan preemptively. I've cried in gynecologists offices so many times. I currently have it under control but it's a beast to be reckoned with Edit: also I can see why she doesn't feel responsible for her actions when she's struggling with PMDD symptoms. It really does feel at times like there's some kind of demon in your head making you do every horrible thing. At it's very worst I would have a little voice in my head telling me to kill myself while I was sobbing because of how much I wanted to live. I'm not saying she's right to not take responsibility, but I completely empathize with her. It's a completely unnerving feeling because YOU don't want to hurt people and YOU don't want to die, but for some reason something in your head keeps hurting the people around you and begging you to kill yourself. It starts to make a lot of sense why mental health issues used to be treated like demonic possessions when you have symptoms like this. Edit 2: I should clarify that my symptoms are currently under control, and when I said that I hurt people around me, I meant that I would yell and insult people, not that I would physically harm anyone. I hurt relationships and I hurt feelings.
Yes!! I get HIGHS and LOWS. depressive episodes that hit me out of absolutely nowhere and within twenty minutes my brain is telling me I want to d*e. Physical symptoms of the flu, extreme fatigue, mood swings like crazy. It’s hellish. But I know it’s my medical diagnosis, and as an adult therefore my responsibility to take care of.

I feel for Charlie. I was bullied by my sister growing up. To this day, that person still comes out of her. It is horribly draining, and it gets explained away with how she’s “my sister” or that we’re both “as bad” but I have never told her that our parents hate her, or that she’s a waste of space and should kill herself. She’s told me that multiple times. Whenever our parents got upset, she ran to me and convinced me it was MY fault they were upset. She doesn’t even remember that she does it to me because it’s so second nature to her, when I bring it up it’s always “oh I don’t remember that”. It SUCKS. So I know how she feels

i have pmdd and while i 100% agree it’s NOT an excuse to be terrible to people, i can still sympathize with how shitty it is and how HARD it is to control yourself and keep from lashing out. but like i have multiple anxiety disorders, autism, adhd, and ptsd ON TOP of pmdd and i’m still able to control my emotions enough to not abuse people?? i take steps to make sure i’m interacting with people as little as possible if i know i’m struggling, i even went as far as not talking to my boyfriend for like 4 days this last week so i wouldn’t take my frustration out on him.. there’s 100% ways to go about it and with how much MONEY they have it shouldn’t be that hard to try different treatments to lessen the affects of it, whether that’s anti-depressants or birth control or hormone therapy or whatever options they have

Agreed. Growing up I was yelled at for basically not wanting to be mistreated by my brother. Honestly, it messed him up too - that behavior didn't fly at school or even just around his friends.
He had no guidance and my only guidance was to stop having a problem with abusive behavior. There's this aspect of emotional neglect to it as well because this is the stuff that parents are supposed to be doing - teaching healthy conflict resolution and respect for others.

As someone else who has PMDD, it is absolutely not an excuse to be an A**hole. I have PMDD too and to my knowledge I have a more severe case of it that the average PMDDer (I could be totally wrong, I am not a professional). I recognise how Dixie behaves in myself. I've never had a relationship with someone like the one between Dixie and Charlie, and I obviously don't know them or what goes on in their lives. When you are being abusive and having a PMDD episode at the same time, you are still being abusive. You still need to apologize, recognize your behavior, adopt habits to prevent it in the future, etc.. And PMDD is not an excuse, it's a reason. Probably isn't the only reason she acts this way towards her sister, but it is one reason why. For me, PMDD causes intense delusions and paranoia. I can think that people are out to hurt me or ruin my life, even when there is no objective evidence for it. PMDD really can cause people to be delusional and very paranoid, as well as generally dysphoric, and they can act horribly while thinking they're in the right. It's not an excuse, it's a reason. She needs to get professional help for her PMDD and work on changing her behavior and she needs to apologize for how she's acted towards her sister. It's not going to happen suddenly, but it should happen as soon as possible so she doesn't have to be in these PMDD episodes still and so she won't keep treating others this way.

In the grand scheme of things too yea she's young but she's still and adult that apparently cant see right from wrong let alone take any accountability for abusing her sister. A 13 year old is more emotionally aware than her. I genuinely think Dixie is incapable of taking accountability or being a better person in general. There's no excuse for abuse and she's honestly just a terrible person. I wish I could feel compassion for Dixie because I know how it can feel to be in a vulnerable and emotional position because of a disorder. But knowing that I have it, having a therapist, etc. has helped me at least try to do better or at the very least try not to lash out at people and just keep those emotions to myself. You can't get rid of it but there are ways to do better and to even just be aware of it.

Without me going to tiktok to confirm, I already know there are Dixie fans attacking Charlie for "not being understanding" and Charlie fans attacking Dixie for "being mean" when in reality this show should have never been made and they all need to go to family, group, and solo therapy.

This biggest thing that happened is that UA-camrs Supermega (Matt Watson and Ryan Magee) got called out by many people (Including Nick) about how they handled a SA between their employee and Nicks friend, who goes by Lex Updog. They took the blame and apologized for not firing him soon enough after hearing about the assault their employee commited on Lex and has since uploaded to Supermega.
The problem with the videos that brought up these allegations is that there were many other details pinpointed about Matt and Ryans character that were either lies or just straight up unnecessary things that had nothing to do with the assault to paint them in an even worse picture and throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. Such as their sex lives and claims of homophobia (that was later debunked by Matt who showed receipts.) The worst false claim was that they called their late friend daniel who took his own life a "coward" and they have said this is not true.
Supermega got what was coming to them, but now Nick and Lex are being called out for essentially weaponizing M and R friends suicide against them in order to deplatform them by lying, which is pretty hypocritical and fucked up of Nick considering he always talks about mental health. He has not apologized for it and has been doubleing down over social media, pretty much ignoring his critics which makes it even worse.

I got diagnosed with PMDD at the beginning of last year. It is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me and there is no cure and no good treatment. It's causes slef injury, attempts, random EXTREME anger and irritability, disabling pain, paranoia, delusions, mood swings, depression, lonlieness, dysphoria, etc. When you are having these episodes, you feel these emotions to such an extreme for no reason, and your brain wants to make sense of it so you end up blaming the emotions on whats going on around you. I take birth control every day at the exact same time with no breaks, and that has been the best treatment. I don't have this kind of relationship with my siblings, but I do really feel for Dixie. Even when I look back on how I've acted in my PMDD episodes when I was starting puberty (I'm 18 now), it's still so hard to see the reality in the situations because in the moment you feel like you are SO correct. Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder is majorly about the dysphoria. Pure dysphoria. Dysphoria makes you randomly feel like something life ruining is happening or about to happen and you need to do something drastic to save yourself. Like, someone at school or work is trying to be my friend but my brain is telling me that they're trying to kidnap me so I avoid being near them for however long this delusion lasts. If Dixie is having episodes this much, she might want to try constant hormonal treatment, like what I do, because if your body is going through menstrual cycles at all, then you are having constant episodes. And, again, these hormonal fluctuations cause your brain to convince you that everyone is out to get you and that your life is ending. It is the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me. If one day I am even late on my birth control by 40 minutes, I will be having constant episodes for the next THREE WEEKS. It never ends. It is such a constant struggle. I would do almost anything to not have this disorder. It ruined my life before it even began.
How would you want someone to go about supporting you with your PMDD? My boyfriend has it and I want to know how I can help him, I’m so sorry that there isn’t a good treatment for PMDD :(
Yes! I have PMDD too and hormonal therapy has really helped me. I only have it the week before my period each month and it has helped me with the physical and more importantly the emotional symptoms I was having because PMDD would have me in a severe depressive episode for about 2/2.5 weeks out of every month.

I know a lot of people who went to school with D'Amelios and the consensus is that Charli is super sweet, but Dixie has always been this way. A disorder may explain some of her actions, but she has to be aware of what is affecting her and what she can do to prevent harm. She doesn't seem to care that her actions, while they may be influenced by PMDD, harm those around her. It is on her to learn how to navigate life with the disorder. I understand that it takes time, but she at least needs to seem like she's trying

Using the way someone grieves finding their best friend after attempting suicide as a weapon to destroy their career is absolutely horrible. I've had attempts before and if my loved ones were to be angry or call me a coward, that's perfectly valid. I know my best friend was, and I am too at my old self in a way. What you've done reeks of having no experience with this issue and you need to be held accountable in some way. To not even apologize or admit you were wrong is disgusting.

PMDD is horrific to experience and I can't imagine going through that on reality TV while being cast as the "villain" it made me suicidal and have a short fuse for three weeks out of every month. I could go from 0 to "want to kill myself" from a stubbed toe. One time I was so stressed before my period that I contacted a crisis line to set up a safety plan preemptively. I've cried in gynecologists offices so many times. I currently have it under control but it's a beast to be reckoned with
Edit: also I can see why she doesn't feel responsible for her actions when she's struggling with PMDD symptoms. It really does feel at times like there's some kind of demon in your head making you do every horrible thing. At it's very worst I would have a little voice in my head telling me to kill myself while I was sobbing because of how much I wanted to live.
I'm not saying she's right to not take responsibility, but I completely empathize with her. It's a completely unnerving feeling because YOU don't want to hurt people and YOU don't want to die, but for some reason something in your head keeps hurting the people around you and begging you to kill yourself. It starts to make a lot of sense why mental health issues used to be treated like demonic possessions when you have symptoms like this.
Edit 2: I should clarify that my symptoms are currently under control, and when I said that I hurt people around me, I meant that I would yell and insult people, not that I would physically harm anyone. I hurt relationships and I hurt feelings.
Yes!! I get HIGHS and LOWS. depressive episodes that hit me out of absolutely nowhere and within twenty minutes my brain is telling me I want to d*e. Physical symptoms of the flu, extreme fatigue, mood swings like crazy. It’s hellish. But I know it’s my medical diagnosis, and as an adult therefore my responsibility to take care of.

Ryan asked for him to take accountability and Nick made a post doubling down and telling him to “shut the fuck up” etc.

It is horribly draining, and it gets explained away with how she’s “my sister” or that we’re both “as bad” but I have never told her that our parents hate her, or that she’s a waste of space and should kill herself. She’s told me that multiple times.
Whenever our parents got upset, she ran to me and convinced me it was MY fault they were upset.
She doesn’t even remember that she does it to me because it’s so second nature to her, when I bring it up it’s always “oh I don’t remember that”. It SUCKS. So I know how she feels

i have pmdd and while i 100% agree it’s NOT an excuse to be terrible to people, i can still sympathize with how shitty it is and how HARD it is to control yourself and keep from lashing out. but like i have multiple anxiety disorders, autism, adhd, and ptsd ON TOP of pmdd and i’m still able to control my emotions enough to not abuse people?? i take steps to make sure i’m interacting with people as little as possible if i know i’m struggling, i even went as far as not talking to my boyfriend for like 4 days this last week so i wouldn’t take my frustration out on him..
there’s 100% ways to go about it and with how much MONEY they have it shouldn’t be that hard to try different treatments to lessen the affects of it, whether that’s anti-depressants or birth control or hormone therapy or whatever options they have

As someone who has been diagnosed with PMDD and has had a lot attitude trouble when I got the diagnosis it did explain a lot but it’s not an excuse if anything it helped realize how to fix my emotional issues. I feel so bad for Charlie she deserves to have positive people in her life
