You are paint professionals (which is very clear) and not tv producers ! I am grateful that you take the time to share your techniques and projects - huge thanks !
As someone who grew up in the 70's watching Jon Pertwee battling the Daleks, I loved the Dalek video. It was a bit of fun. Who cares if it was a "real" BBC Dalek, or which episodes it appeared or didn't appear in? It brought back memories of hiding behind the sofa again, just like 50 yrs ago. Keep making the videos and don't let the moaners get you down. For me, the audio and video is fine, because I'm here for the cars and vans (and occasional Dalek). Keep up the good work.
Nice to see you are busy, with the recent downturn in classic values I see some are struggling, and a couple of classic resto places around my area have shut down recently, and they had very good reputations as well, did good work. Looks like you are bucking the trend 👏👏
with the blend its not always necessary even on some darker metallics, what decides this is experience with the colours, one of our painters used to blend everything regardless but i found certain colours like storm grey which was a mid silver metallic was perfectly good as an edge to edge match, then you can get solid colours like a red which you would need to blend due to the possible fade and drying process, you can literally see reds change colour as they dry. which is wy i always recheck a test card after its dry as well as on the spray out. btw when you going to dust off the Novol banner? :P
@@carllewis7964 self preps as in ‘you prep and we colour’? No, we don’t. We do all or none. Issues are always in the base layers, so to avoid conflict further down the line, we do not paint over someone else’s prep.
Please use an airfed mask using epoxy you will become sensitised and it will ruin your paint life, just saying it did for me I had to get out of the trade. Interesting video 👍

The mics are absolutely fine. The grizzlers want that "in bed, under the duvet" sound; slightly suspect if you ask me. Muzak can be muted.

Super video.... admire your skills and honesty 👏
Spectral Novol beautiful stuff
Great video again guys - keep up the good work!
Great video 👍 I think blending comes down to budget and above all skill and experience of the paint shop keep up the show and tell video's 😊
Excellent video as always.
Take no notice of criticism interesting to learn more about painting not bothered about sound quality
I noticed you only used an air fed mask some of the time are you primers and bases water based?

I saw they have black in the 385-00 now ,do they also have white to mix in the Grey system of novol ?
@@steventuypens2779 they do 385-00 in olive, black, or mid grey 👍
Hope they come with white also . So we can use it like the spectral system. P1 to p5 .
I like the music, really couldn't give a stuff about the mikes, just watch for the craftsmanship
Do you do self preps

Interesting, I wouldn’t dare paint a bonnet laying flat in my booth, always up on a stand.
