Honestly I'm not even interested in bags but the way he treats every piece of leather as something not to be wasted and how minimalist his designs are really drew me in. Good job, keep up the crafting! :)
For me, I just love the thought of how materials from ancient times are still used and hasn't changed(maybe in terms of the aesthetics, yes) and how pricey it is even in this era of computer. I'm a Fantasy Novel fan BTW 😁
Ryan I saw you on Peter’s channel. You are such an incredible artisan craftsman. Your leather work, filming and editing are things of beauty. I’m so delighted Peter found you. Keep up the fantastic work. I ❤️ UA-cam because of people like you. Respect from Scotland.
Beautifully delivered. At 1st I didn’t like the dark leather but I started to appreciate it through the way you work it. Congratulations, it’s always a pleasure!!!
They definitely don't sell those kinds of rivets at Joanns lol! My rivet life has been forever changed. This bag is gorgeous and I learned a dozen new techniques just watching you make it. Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic video. You’re great at talking through the project. I enjoyed the multiple angles and actually showing your work. Very impressive and inspiring. Keep it up!
This brings me back almost 30 years ago when I used to spend hours cutting up vegetable tanned leather for bird toys I used to make and sell. Would love to have a go at making a bag of some sort.
With the right tools anyone is capable of anything. Never sell yourself short. Now, the talent comes in at have stitching and learning to use a sewing machine. I grew up with grandparents and parents whom believed in being self sufficient. They moved us into a retirement community 30 miles away from the nearest anything. We were the only children within a 30 mile range those old timers around us taught us so much. When we moved to that area they didn't even have electricity yet. People were still gathering their own water, purifying it, making their own vehicle fuel and soap from animal fat. Using gasifiers. Growing their own foods, making their own electricity from lake water. You wouldn't believe the things of grandparents knew and were capable of doing. The greatest pearl of wisdom I took with me was, anyone can do anything with the right tools. Talent comes from being able to make it without the right tools. Remember that and there won't be anything you can't achieve. None of this is too take away from the video or the dude in it, but to serve as a Jumpstart to your own imagination.
Your love for the craft shows in your bag. Simple but beautiful . Please do show the basics like the stitches, and why you use the materials that you do .eg. copper rivets .... You have made me aware of a better alternative, beginners like me get overwhelmed by the tools, techniques Show us the way
Yea its overwhelming for sure as a beginner. I learned this craft by watching videos and tutorials and from Instagram. Keep watching videos like this and practice and you will be a pro in no time!
I would love to take a class from you. Have you every thought of doing an online leather class maybe for different levels of experience. I learned an awful lot watching this video it showed me how to do things I have often wondered about.
Hey! I use Eco Weld from Tandy Leather. For the acrylic templates, I sent my designs to a local laser shop. They have since moved. Any laser or plasma cutting shop should be able to do it for you. 😊
that quality of craftsmanship just made me want a bag real soon ....this was really awesome watching hand work at work other than fully automated great job
I saw you’re collab with Peter and I have to say, you do some amazing work Ryan.👌🏽 I am in love with this bag 💼 but I see it’s sold out in rugged tan. Will it be available again in the future? Bc if so, I’m buying when it does haha.
Lovely video, very nice bag! Just a bit of constructive criticism, the music was a bit too loud and enthusiastic. I felt like I was in a hipster wonderland. Perhaps something more mellow the next time? 😀
Love your work and your videos. Been scoping you out for over an hour now and just wanted to say thank you for sharing your work. Learning a lot and feeling inspired. Cheers to you and your family from BC 🇨🇦
Thanks for taking the time to explain some of the processes. I’m new to leather craft and a lot of people show what and how but not really why.. so thanks for that
Hi There I'm so inspired and I've been meaning to attend a training course on leather but seems I can learn quite fine here. I'm in South Africa and I'm so passionate about creating. Please if we can communicate offline I would really like to chat with you for guidance.
I have watched a few of your videos and I have to saw this is the first one I have seen where you explained what you were doing. I find the explanation far more interesting and hope you make more videos detailing the steps your take while making an item.
TheTraffic247 Frankly, I think it’s alright. I’m just happy it isn’t that generic iMovie theme that a bunch of other creators use. It’s really not that bad regarding music choice.
who is here with no experience of crafting just the love of good bags😍

Two Questions, What Brand of glue is that white glue you're using? next...who made the acrylic templates you used. Thank You for the Videos!!
Hey! I use Eco Weld from Tandy Leather. For the acrylic templates, I sent my designs to a local laser shop. They have since moved. Any laser or plasma cutting shop should be able to do it for you. 😊
Thank You and Enjoy your Videos!
I'm using EcoWeld from Tandy Leather. The Acrylic templates were cut from a local laser shop. Search for one in your area 🙌🏼
Try end cutting pliers instead of diagonal cutting pliers for trimming rivets.
You explain and show all just so clearly. Thank you so much for sharing your experience so honestly.
"A sharp knife is a safe knife."
I just love taking that sentence out of context
that quality of craftsmanship just made me want a bag real soon ....this was really awesome watching hand work at work other than fully automated great job

This is hands-down the most beautiful bag I’ve ever seen!! Wow. I have no words, really.

Here because of my sister that sent me a video of Peter and I absolutely love your work and the education you give!
Enjoyed every second, subscribed! I am so willing to purchase this beauty, but before I do so, I wonder if a Macbook Pro 15 fits in it or only 13?
Yes a 15" pro should fit.
As a hobby leatherworker i get tears in my eyes seeing the shop you have, my shop is in a closet 2x3mtr lol
Beautiful work, brother! I need this piece in my life.
Also...If the music has to be that loud, does it have to suck so bad?
Great job, high quality craftsmanship. I enjoyed it very much so. Keep the excellent work you do.
Muito bom! Trabalho incrível!!!

I'm probably the only one who loves your tutorial, but doesn't care for your background music. 🤪

I have watched a few of your videos and I have to saw this is the first one I have seen where you explained what you were doing. I find the explanation far more interesting and hope you make more videos detailing the steps your take while making an item.
Man that's some strange music for someone so talented in a heritage art
Do you get a cheaper rate for using music?, WHY?, We actually want to hear what your saying !
It’s good background music bud, just too loud for the video
The music is unbearably exhausting.
My favorite leather craft channel💕
The music is too loud you sounded drowned out.
Agree.
Love the life advice at the end! Thanks for sharing!
You bought a belt skiver without the bells and whistles, what an amateur pfffff...p.s. I have no idea what I'm talking about, great vid.
I am still new on leather craft I can learn something from your video Thank You
the music is too loud, bro.
The best video I have seen making a beautiful leather piece of art. Precision.
I want to join you as an intern, please let me know if u have a vacancy
Thats amazing leather craft might be my next big venture, cool music too to keep you working
Turn the music down, I'm trying to hear you.
In this life of mass produced tripe, it is nice to watch a craftsman producing beautiful quality handmade goods.
Please can you please make a video of leather boots for girls and women.
Please
It's a request.
Love from India 🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻
An excellent presentation by a skilled craftsman.
Just me or does this guy look a lot like Ryan Reynolds?
It is absolutely gorgeous and you are a true craftsman.
The background music is a bit too loud... Hard to concentrate on what you're saying...
crazy sheep also a little too energetic.
I enjoy to watch your craft, and my little kids as well.
Why such loud background music?
Silver Makin It is annoying as hell.

The background music is really annoying and overpowering. Takes away from the video.
TheTraffic247 Frankly, I think it’s alright. I’m just happy it isn’t that generic iMovie theme that a bunch of other creators use. It’s really not that bad regarding music choice.
Nah it’s upbeat and groovin
That is a really awesome bag! I love your work...it's very clean, but still has great character to it. Keep it up, and have a good one 😊💙
good video and product. Painful music

Fantastic workmanship, love your work. But the music needs to go, cannot listen to it and then listen to you talk.
Beautiful design and craftsmanship. Felt really calm watching the video of the process. So therapeutic. :)
