Beautiful bag and I love watching your care and attention to detail. As a bag collector it makes me appreciate the skill and thought that goes into my bags.I don't care for tuck locks at all, but this could be left out on this bag just fine. Bravo!! Another design idea: have the D rings on the back of the bag rather than the side, like US Mail Bags. This keeps the bag hugging the body as you carry it.
Small oddball tip When using Chicago screws, set screws, any screw really. Hit it with hairspray before screwing it down. Works kind of like locktite, but it's clear and easier to break free for replacement or repair.
Beautiful work dude. The leather buckle is similar like a Louis Vuitton backpack, very cool design. thoughtful additions make it user friendly & practical for Office or Uni. This bag will last, & can be handed down for generations.
It is a good diaper bag with a lot of room. It is on the bigger side, but that is what I was looking for. I have been using it for a couple of months and it seems sturdy.
I bought a LV bag gtdupe years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences
Thank you so much Whitney and parker . You guys are the best , going to make my first bag tomorrow 😂and this gave me the courage. I am a hair and brown skin care products formulator and going into leather is looking so odd😅 but thanks for your channel 🥰. I will be hand stitching my bag and I will show you what I made on Instagram . Thank you so much
OLD Leather Smith here, Excellent Job, Excellent Explanation. Since this old leather Smith does only bespoke or custom I hand stitch all my work. Bought a machine 5 years ago never used it, clients expect hand stitching. Again Excellent. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Your honesty is well-appreciated, so I hope you’ll make more videos! Gotta love your seemingly-cavalier handling of expen$ive(!) materials. This leathercraft seems ALL soo expensive to approach, so it’s piecemeal for moi
That was so much fun watching your tutorial. You're very good at your instruction. Thank you I'm trying to understand the different ways of doing rivers. The press versus the hand tool
When I did this as a trade we lined the insides of the bags with a hot iron. I still miss and can even imagine the smells of my old workshop. The four of us had to produce 48 of these bags in five days besides 200 sporran purses and I only got paid £23.50...
Just made a cross body satchel very similar to this. I did a tubular handle mounted to the back though and was just thinking that a handle on top would be better. Next thing I see come across is this video. Great work Parker.
Hey Parker, great video!! I brought the pattern and am working on the bag now! I was wonder about when you glue and stitch the front panel to the gusset. Is the glue just there to stop the pieces from moving around when stitching? I see you glue only the very edge of the pieces then stitch pretty far up from it. Thanks!
Glad to see you use glue sticks to apply, bc brushes are so inaccurate. I find the marks made by the feet of most machines objectionable and *scream “machine stitched”- so you must be carefully adjusting yours (tho your stitch lines could be straighter). I’m liking your welcoming of BOTH inside and reversed stitching on your bag- makes the front look best, IMHO- tho *I’d be tempted to add a foot to each front corner to accommodate the difference in standup.
Hola Parker! Maru Winckelmann here!!! I just love your VO with no music on your videos!!!! I can't wait to make this one!!! As all of them, it looks very nice! Question... when are you going to offer the pattern for your "Leather Zip Top Backpack"? 🙏🏼
Hey Maru, thank you! That means a lot. I'm not sure if i'll be doing that zip top one. After using the bag a bit it had some issues with the pattern and if I do it, i'll need to re-do the pattern. So it might be a while but i'll consider picking that one up again:)
Sure do love this video! Just picked up the pattern and I think I am going to give it a try! Do you think it would work out alright with 3-4 ounce leather for the bag?
Awesome, thanks Brandon. 3/4 would be a little too thin in my opinion, but don’t let me stop you from trying! My biggest concern would be the handle on top would pull the lid together if it’s too thin. So maybe reinforce the top part of the lid first?
Adding in so many practical tips and tricks as you proceed! You've clearly become "expert leatherworker" AS WELL AS "expert trainer" !
Thanks James, i'm always trying to figure out how to make these more valuable for everyone watching. I appreciate that feedback and compliment!

I appreciate your common sense approach The technique ain’t too shabby, either. Nice bag. Thanks for the 2 design steals. I appreciate your passion.
I just love how you you explain all the details of your work! Thank you! God bless!
Thanks Alexander!

Ohhhh yeah! This is huge news! Can't wait to get this printed out and get to work. Love your bag designs!
thank you!! that means a lot:)
That looks like a fun project.... Thank you for making this video and PDF. You are the best!

Greetins from 🇲🇽🤩❤
Oh man, you are good. Spectacular.
Very good job! Well done.
this is something my big bro would like
Great advice. Beautiful work.
"buggered up" being a leather working technical term--all conscientious leather workers use it! lol!
So do cowboys! 😄👍

So informative, i like this particular content. Keep it up bro
thanks Rizkie!
@3:54 That was very satisfying
Thumb up for this masterpiece 👍🏻 thanks for the detailed instructions.
Just amazing, u hv some mad skills
haha thanks a ton:)
Excellent work brother. Love that bag :)
Nice work ! Curious where you purchased your template stamps and the machine that you used to cut them out ? Thanks !
Great video man! Can tell you put a lot of time into this one 🤙👍. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thanks Mitch, means a lot!
Please help me clarify, are the Aquilim contact cement and (Fiebings?) Leather cement, both white and are they used interchangeably???
Great work. Thanks for your tutorial!

So how are you supposed to set it on a table or the floor without eventually flattening the overhang on the rear panel?
Me gustó mucho el modelo de cutter el de forma arqueado y mango de madera le estoy buscando en Ebay pero no lo encuentro;dónde le podría conseguir?
Awesome work ,what size of thread is that and how long are the stitches
,if you don't mind?
Just curious, about how many bags can you make out of 1 Whole Side Veg-tan?
Carpet paper is also good for patterns.
oooh thatsperty :) :) Im obsessed!
Also what is the brand of your skiving machine and where did you get it ?
I am wondering how the top where the handle is holding up? Would putting in a stiff reinforcement across the top be something that would be a benefit?
This leather is so rigid it doesn't need it. I know a few people that have been using this bag for a couple years and it's holding up great.
@@whitandpark I'm only using 5 oz on it.
A de ser igual de bueno que los otros !!! Son muy interesantes tus vídeos
Hermoso trabajo. Felicitaciónes

Anyone found a place to get this printed in the UK? Non-standard size, bigger than A0
Hii
What type of thread do you use with the sewing machine? (:

@@whitandpark That is a good thought! I will do that when I make this bag! Thank you for the advice Parker!
@@brandonarlington899 you could always laminate the 3/4 which would allow you to have smooth face inside and out.
@@maddawgnoll That is another good thought! Thank you for the idea!
If only the bobbin would wind that fast IRL lol
Nooo jooooke. Takes forever
Beauty job buddy👌🏻👌🏻
