Another reason why the Winter 2017 cases cost a lot more is probably because the drop rate for them wasn't as much compared to other updates (or maybe the event didn't last as long as the others.) The 2018 and 2019 comedic cases take up almost a whole page of my inventory, yet I only have 4 2017 comedic cases, and I don't remember selling any of them.
Warpaints are like Pokemon, every single one is someone's favorite whether it be good or not. Really cool video, and I hope Volvo knock it out of the park for Summer. The ending is hilarious, I've got to try this eventually.
One thing I like about Hazard Warning is how lower wears look natural. I have a strange pro ks well worn hazard warning wrench that looks good, not in spite of the low wear, but because of it!
Honestly, I've been thinking about war paints myself. More specifically, war paints for the Grordbort weapons due to hearing about some alternative colors for the Pomson. Maybe once I dip myself into the world of TF2 modding, I could try creating war paints for them.
My favorite war paint still is Bomber Soul, and i love how it looks on Battle scared, almost of all the skin weapons i have are Bomber Souls Battle scared
I was lucky enough to see the forest for it's trees when this case came out and hunted the lower end paints that I liked, even trading a few gaudy Jazzys for some Geo-Teams and Dam-Mahoganys. I unboxed more 2017 cases than all other cases combined, and have the grand pleasure of numerous Geo-Team and Dam-Mahogany warpaints (and even one or two Neo-Tokyos) to show for it. It really sucks though when a player asks where they can get the paints and I have to tell them that it's from the 8 dollar 2017 case though. I really hope this next case is god-tier and not god-awful.
It's sad how warpaint quality has declined to the point some of them are literally stock images, I really wonder what kind of criteria Valve uses to decide what makes it into the game for stuff like that to be there
To be fair, halloween warpaints generally being better than christmas warpaints is just another example of a general rule of thumb; Halloween > Christmas
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a huge sucker for the Winter 2019 case. Not sure what it is about it, but I love a lot of the skins. Especially Snow Covered. Low wears look too bright in my opinion, but the high wears? Hot damn they look great. I proudly rock a Battle-Scarred Degreaser with it. Love the muted red/blue with the sorta grey color that comes from the (in my opinion) oversaturated white being worn down.
I shit you not, two of my best ever unboxes were from this case. I unboxed a strange FT miami element and an unusual FT Isotope Uranium. I ended up giving the unusual to a friend, but I put the Miami Element on a shotgun, and I still have it to this day.

This video felt kinda repetitive with how many times he said "this is [descriptor of its quality], but it's better than anything we've gotten lately!" over and over again.
I will agree with you about everything you say here, but i would like to add something. I'm not a man who likes the warpaints and skins. I seriously think that default weapon design is almost always better than a warpaint, since it fits the game more. But when i do use the skins, and when i really think they're compelling and appropriate for some loadout themes, i almost always try to get a battle-scarred quality one. Battle-scarred really fixes A LOT of skins that with any other quality would have been too bad to be salvaged in any loadouts. Some skins lose it's cartoonish stickers and little paintings, which make them much more brutal and serious. Sone skins get their colors fixed - for example, as much as i love Neo Tokyo (my one of very few absolutely favourite skins) i do think that in any version above battle-scarred it's black is too bluish and plastic-like. But battle-scarred Neo Tokyo replaces it with scorched and damaged black, no bluish tiny anymore. And this makes it SO MUCH BETTER. Add blood on the weapon, and you can almost believe that this is what a merc would actually use. My airstrike with this skin is so god damn good. And because of team colors, this skin goes well with *any* loadouts. At least with more modern ones. Another case of battle-scarred improving the skin is the hazard warning. The bright-grey concrete gets replaced with almost similarly industrial black scorched metal, while yellow stripes still stay almost untouched. The skin gets so much more brutal, it's unbelievable. The only skins i really want to see in game is either a copper- or bronze-themed (because i really love copper and i want a commer airstrike weapon for my copper soldier) and also the skins from guy named "palp", his works are so good that it almost seems like valve did them.
I think an important thing to address is the significance of votes/reactions to the content that the user base wants to be added. More simply, we should advocate voting on steam for the skins, and hats we wish to see. If the devs see what we want more clearly, from a larger pool of players, that could help them in the decision-making process.
