Hi Steve, you said you usually had the speaker muted. But can you also say that it didn't make a diference or you even liked the 50 better for when you played through the cabinet? And thanks for your content on the gtx btw!

Hey Steve, I was trying to find your instagram and couldnt for some reason. Anyways, I wanted to know how you compare this modeling by fender (the amp, cab, and virtual effects pedals) to like Line 6 Pod Go, or things of that nature. I am really looking toward getting this, as I think it would give me all the tones I would need, which are worship church stuff. Its ambient, has some transparent drive at times, etc. You can setup a preset and then use the footswitch like a pedal stomp mode right? turning things on and off?
I was just pondering this question last week.
after a year of owning it do you have any problems with the amp cutting off or the bluetooth connectivity? any problems at all? i am considering buying a gtx50 tomorrow. i want to make sure its the right move. lmk and thanks

I dont have any experience wiht guitar amp and cabinets.
At the moment, i d like to have the best possible solution for record the guitar.
Its ok if i buy UA OX and use it with fender gtx100 or Boss catana 100?
Or i have to have real amp and cabinet to use ful potencial of an OX? By real i mean not modeling one.

If you want the foot switch, then definitely get the 100w, as it’s included, and costs an extra $80 if you buy it separate.
I don’t totally disagree, I was just saying that it’s $20 cheaper to just get the 50 and the foot switch separately. So to me it’s more about whether people need the bigger more powerful amp or not, not price
I have a Katana 50 and I've never had to worry about not being loud enough. I'm wondering if the GTX50 would be similar? I play mostly country, surf and Americana kinds of tunes. The number of Fender models on the GTX series seems like a real advantage. I play clean and just to the edge of breakup.
So what made you choose the 50 over the 100 even tho u said most grt the 100? Great work on all ur vids dude.
I have a Quilter Cub50 which I really like and is all analogue but I got bored so I thought I’d jump into the digital revolution and got a Gtx50 which has been interesting. The amp models are good but many need tweaking with a graphic in the end I liked Mesa one the most but the big problem is that you can’t chain 4,5 or 6 Fx’s together as the amp says you’ve run out of cpu resources particularly if you use a reverb then the Gtx will only allow one more effect which is very limiting. Does the Gtx100 have more CPU power it’s hard to find that info? Also a lot of the patches sound thin and fuzzy and need a lot of tweaking and the power amp which is class D doesn’t sound great either. On the other hand the Cub50 which is also class D sounds and feels like a tube amp and really is special. In the end sold the Gtx50 and got a Boss Gt1 to go with the Cub50 and I’m very happy. Fender should make a Gtx Multics but they are busy pushing the Tonemaster Pro which looks great but totally over priced.
I got a great deal on a second hand GTX50 and added a new footswitch. It’s only for home use so absolutely no need for that additional wattage.
GTX 100 is awesome. The included looping/ effects pedal made it a no brainer as I wanted a looper anyway.
Steve, I know this is a year old. I hope you are still actively receiving comments. What volume pedal would you match up with a GTX100 with foot switch. I bought on off of your reviews but my Ernie Ball Jr creates a lot of tone suck soooo….any thoughts? Thank you for this in depth review. I know it was a lot of work. Thank you…thank you! Brand new to electric guitar so bought the fender acoustasoni 40… works great, but after 3 months decided to upgrade for better sound and ability to record.
So I bought the fender gtx 50…but I confess to not being experienced enough to make use of this. Wifi and Bluetooth work well but I Have not been able to find a preset that works as good as my old amp (/40). keep getting buzz or what sounds like too much treble. Am thinking of returning but is there anyone out there familiar with the GTX-50 and could recommend a how to get just the basic clean combo of Gain,vol, etc..
I got the 100, it’s too loud for home, master volume is always almost at 0! but it was cheaper with the pedal as I got it for 615 AUD!
I use the 100 in a bedroom all the time. Absolutely no problem at lower volumes.
We all know that the 100 comes with the footswitch. Just skip all the basic information. The real differences is the size and different speaker. That is what we can talk about more tonewise. A good idea would be to do a comparison video between the 50 and 100. Comparising it at low volumes and high.
Also I would like to know how low the volume can get with the 100. Some say it is manageble at bedroom level other’s disagree. That also could be demonstrated in the comparison video

@@tjh780 thank you. I have now the SD75 as well. In the beginning I had to search a way to set up the amp for low volume. I found it by turning the master volume just open and then leveling the volume of the preamp to the wanted volume

I am thinking getting the GTX 50, but keep hearing about bluetooth problems. Have you had problems with the bluetooth also?
It does have trouble connecting sometimes, but you just turn it off and turn it back on again and it usually connects right away. Not nearly a big enough deal for me to really get annoyed by it. I vote you get it!

I just got the 100. Trying to update firmware. When I press Wi-Fi it says loading and then reverts back to preset mode. Any suggestions? This is a real bummer and the reason I usually stay away from digital amps. The tone app looked cool so I figured I'd give it a try and I can't get past the first step. LOL. This amp is probably going back to guitar center.
Don’t give up! I believe in you! Just check the manual, and don’t hesitate to ask on one of the mustang groups on Facebook. You’ll get great help, and once you get rolling with it, then see how you like it for a few weeks and give it an honest shot. You got this!

Are you running your RC 600 through the GTX? Or can you do a video where you show how to use the GTX with the RC 600?
I’ve done a few “behind-the-scenes“ videos that you can check out that show the order of everything. I plug my guitar into the GTX, then run the headphone output of the GTX into the 600 using a stereo splitter.👍

At today's Sweetwater prices, the GTX100 ($499.99) is only $1.01 more (not a typo) than the GTX50 ($399.99) plus GTX-7 footswitch ($98.99), although if you're willing to buy used, you can sometimes find both the GTX50 and footswitch for less than the price of a new 50. So why get the 50? I can think of two reasons: 1) the smaller cabinet and slightly less weight or 2) the 50 might be better for bedroom-level volumes.
The Fender GTX 100 watts with effects pedal is totally Awesome that I own !!
