      Can you do a video on dying hair. I have greys at my crown but not the rest of my hair. I have dark brown hair just past my shoulders. Do I mix two different bowls? one 10 and one 20? and get two dye tubes. It just seems like I would be wasting one tube of dye for just a small amount of grey. Is there a better way to do this? Thank you@@brittneealexushair

    Last year I used a 50% Deevelopee at home, 1 hour + some change , 1st time ever bleaching my hair, to remove 4 layers of recently dyed hair (blue, green, red, black, brown). Scarest thing ever! and it Worked!!!! I used foils too. Love my blonde hair. ❤ but do no know if I would have the courage to repeat that. So glad my hair is a beast.

    Tyy, I found this video cause i was searching if low and slow would be better 😂 got my answer 5 minutes in. I have dark hair but 20 vol has me super blonde in just 15 minutes. As a non stylist that doesnt move that fast, its soo stressful. Going with 10 vol.

    • @1hinita
      @1hinita Місяць тому

      I normally go with 10. I can't move fast enough for a twenty and I don't want damage. I usually do 10 vol and developer twice, 2 days apart for desired blond. Works every time for me😊

    When my hair gets done, ive been told they just use toner so "I dont go ginger" (Inave a lot of red tones). Its definitely only one tube they squeeze into the bowl before brushing onto the foils. Is this actually right? Indont have a harsh colour change, it just lightens my roots like Ive been out in the sun for a month.

    Talking lift: you get 2 levels with 20 vol the first time, so why does my level 7 dirty blonde still look level 7 after dying with a level 8 silver? Where's the lift? SO it's the second time I've coloured it tho. 9 weeks ago I used level 8 ash blonde, which SHOULD have brought it to level 8 right? (I did a video for each of these) I tried to make sure all that dye was out before I redyed with 8S. I ended up with bronze, not silver. WIll there be less orange in my hair the next time I use the same dye in 8 weeks time?

    Hey Brittnee.... I have been doing my own hair since the Pandemic... have always followed you. I tend to use Schwarzkopf plus their developer (30)... I have noticed lately that it doesn't seem to look 'Lightened" I do my grey roots night before I just use that Men's beard thing brown ... lol.... then the next day I will do my highlights using a cap. Does bleach and developer go off???? as in, do not work any more? Also can I put ANY developer with my Schwartzkopf bleach powder?????? like Salon Care or Wella????? I think I recall you saying you can use any developer?????

    Great video, thank you for the very detailed explanation! I bleach my buzz cut at home. Because my hair is so short I can use 30 volume. I would describe my natural color as very light brown or dark (dishwater blonde). My scalp is not sensitive so I can leave the bleach on for the full time of 55 minutes and the result is a very pale yellow (light the inside of a banana). My question is regarding toner. I can not seem to find a toner that will get me to that perfect white platinum you see with a lot of beautiful blonde buzz cuts. I have used T18 toner but it seems to wash out very quickly and I still have pale yellow. Purple shampoo's (I've tried to many to count) do absolutely nothing to get the yellow out for some reason. I follow the instructions on the toner and use with 20 volume for about 15 minutes. If I leave it on any longer then my hair turns purple, not platinum. So frustrating! I have also tried Ugly Duckling professional brand high lift color in 100V. It says it will lift 2-3 levels using 30 volume. I pretty much am getting the same result. Am I missing something I could be doing or maybe a different brand toner?

    Thank you! This was so helpful! I had highlights down about 6 weeks ago and I’m doing a toner touch up at home with Redken EQ shades using the same ones my stylist used. I did it last night with equal parts toner to equal developer 10 for 20 minutes (no cap or heat). It looks a little better but still a little brassy for my taste. I’m going to try a 20 developer. How soon can I redo it without hurting my hair or scalp? Thanks again!

    Hi been doing my hair at home with you now for a year, I use 20 vol, still unsure how long to leave it on for, at the salon they rub the scalp to check but I don’t know what I’m looking for, so I’m guessing the time , I’m leaving it on 40 mins the last twice. I started off leaving on for 20 mins but the toner wasn’t toning, after a lot of watching on UA-cam I realised I wasn’t leaving the bleach on long enough and it’s defo better but I think it can be improved. This tutorial was so helpful, I’m sticking to 20 vol… long and slow . Is 40 mins enough Help Xx

    Is gray hair-dye going to need a 30V developer? I’m Asian with natural black hair but I’ve already had 2 separate bleach appts (4 sessions total? Idk) with 6 months in between each appt. My hair is a brown/blonde (level 7-8) rn, but I wanted my hair to be a dark gunmetal ash grey. I’m thinking of getting rid of any remaining color with a no-bleach method. TLDR; do I use a 20v or 30v developer going gunmetal ash gray after I lighten my hair to hopefully a lvl 10?
    Edit: I’m thinking of using wella koleston perfect 0/11 intense ash hair color. Any tips on how to mix colors?

    Is it ok to use 30 with a pinch of 40 on a level 6 gold hair a few inches from the root ? 20 and 30 seems to not lift me enough.
