So I just did all my rear bushings on my 05 CRV. I used OEM rubber bushings because I’ve seen other mechanics talk about how Siberian bushing fail after 40k miles - much faster than oem bushing failure.
Great video. Do you think 3M window weld would work good in this situation? So cleaning the bushing with brake cleaner and then completely filling it with 3M WW. Think it would hold up?
So i was told by a rep that manufacturers these bushing upgrade that for my 2007 element these will not fit. Does anyone have a 2007 element with all their bushing replaced with urethane? I really siberian
Where did you get that bearing press kit? I couldn’t find one to rent anywhere - O’Reilly’s, Autozone, and NAPA didn’t have one. I ended up just buying new arms (non poly) because the ball joint press just wasn’t up to the job
The específico tool I use is hard to find and super expensive , you can always remove the arm and take it to a presser or machine shop where they install bearings and bushings
Go to your local HF store, ask for 63728. Doesn't come with a C clamp bar like his Snapon but it works great. And it costs a fraction of a Snapon. I've used the same way you would with a 20 ton H clamp except you don't need to remove everything off the vehicle. I've even used it on wheel bearing swap out with knuckle still attached to strut assembly. You do need to a good impact driver though like his or an air tool. Me I use Earthquake XT 1/2" electric, it's so beasty. They don't sell them no more so get a Hercules or Milwaukee M18.
If the ball joint itself is still in good condition, Honda sells OEM replacement boots for ~$9, and they install with a large socket over the lip. Cheap insurance. As long as the boot hasn't torn, there's a good chance the ball joint is still in good condition. I've had good luck with Ball Joint Separators, too. Harbor Freight sells one of decent quality and it's nice to have on hand.
I just picked up a 04 crv and my bushings need to be replaced so this video is a big help thanks for it.
Glad it helps 🙏
Nice job thanks for the explanations
🙏
This is one clean element! Thanks for the great video and I like the cat protection too as I had mine stolen 2 years ago.
🙏
Cool! I've been thinking about installing these.
🙏, so far so good after 3.5k miles of driving

Oh really? Humm always good to read the comments to learn of other’s experiences. Seems like these are a common fail on our Elements.
@@longhairmullet yeah but still: $80 for a bushing is a lot cheaper than $3-400 for a new trailing arm lol

Tried to change my lower control arms this past spring on my 2006 Element, what a disaster !
😱
Did you use what came with the Snap On BJP1 or did you buy the add on Honda compliance bushing cups?
Came with it
So you are doing this on your way to your Element meet up? If that’s the case you can drive to NYC and work on my Element but bring a blow torch 😄
😅 I did it before leaving CA. I want it my E running smooth for the PNW meet up
Where you get that ball joint kit tool?
Snap on
Can you share the link for that bushing please? Thanks
How is it holding up after a year?
How are the bushings holding up so far?
So far so good. Zero noise
👍🏻
😎👍
Can you send link where to buy? Thanks
Hello Sir. May I know the brand or maker of the bushing tool kit that you used?
I think u could read it @9:25 … it was stamped on the tool it’s a SnapOn tool
Are those Siberian bushings grease able?
They are not.

We never hear if it made a difference in the ride?!!
I’ll be making a review video of it after 6 months of driving , so far I had drive 4k miles 👍
So far so good tho
if you have an older ball joint that boot will rip.
It is posible but I will replace the ball joint to (555)

@@Element.Society No don't get OEM style. Energy Suspension sells PU boot that will last much longer, do a video on ES boot.
