    This is Devon's mind once outside of the fight with an opponent. Now you know how he REALLY views these guys. When the combat-mode is turned off, it is thoughtful analysis, respect, and the duality of confidence and fear.

Yes, I train to do so .... being rich affords me that advantage. Power Lifter, Jujitsu, Boxing, (I was already a two time state champ wrestler).

I weigh in at 205 to 235lbs depending on Training goals. 15 years ago I weighed 299lbs. It was all fat. I was a loser. I let drugs and alcohol ruin me because I couldn't get over some oast trauma. Then one day a man started a fight with me. Even though I was out of shape and lost. The guy took me on afterwards and taught me how to be successful. The big problem of Ermes is just one. ENDURANSH, ho he says ;) . He is not even close to the endurance that Devon has and if he loses the wrist against Devon, is a dead man. So his only chance to beat Devon is to flash pin him or beat him in first 5-10 seconds. So the raw power is the key to beat Devon. Devon said that speaking of Levan. Levan beats you with raw power, no calcs no strategies, wrist and brutal raw power.

    Vitaly is also potentially a very problematic opponent for Devon. His levers are the longest in the sport of armwrestling. Even Devon often stated that Vitaly might give him the most problems in terms of him (Devon) probably not able to utilize his leverage and hand size that he would against other opponents.

      @@thureintun1687 to be fair, denis and voevoda were both given to john and it made sense, because john is nowhere near his former self. John just does matches for fun at this moment, he enjoys the sport so much. It was a good return match, cuz younger and hungrier guys might be even more dangerous. Denis past the test and voevoda didn't. Zaur on the other hand, I totally agree he was pushed too much, matching him up against Georgi. But Zaur was so confident he could beat Levan, so he got what he asked for more or less, he got a beating.

    • @SergiuNw
      @SergiuNw Рік тому +4

      Vitaly is a bad match, because he isn't strong enough to beat the very best, but he might be strong enough to beat devon and that's bad for the promotion/sport. We want to see the best guys being challenged and if someone doesn't bring such skills and only leverage that makes him superior against some, that's not good. That's why even in boxing they avoid matching certain fighters against each other, it's only now that they started fighting each other again. Till now, they wanted to build them up properly so they can have a backup plan. That's business and devon's charisma, skills, strength can make this sport grow so much more, than just have Vitaly potentially beat him and have to build him up again, especially at his age.

      The problem is the distribution of size across humans in general. The majority of the population is only between like 140-220lbs. Once you get above and below that, the number of people dismisses greatly, as in a Bell Curve. Most of the population fits inside the Bell
      So, you can’t have a bunch of weight classes above 200lbs, there won’t be enough guys to compete, and the skill level will be way lower overall, the competition not very competitive. The ex champ is playing Russian roulette with his health, all on the strength of ego, peer and fan pressure.
      Unless the only thing in his life of value is arm wrestling…. then frankly, he needs to grow up and take a step back.

      Considering that his arms are 10 cm thinner than from his prime, this is a very good result, he lasted almost as long as Ermes. Levan lost to almost everyone in 2010-2016, when his arms were 10 cm thinner than in his prime.

      @@swe1733 if ever there was an arm wrestling casual….
      Denis pushed his body well beyond its elastic limit for this match. His doctors will be advising him against the risks to blood pressure from his overuse of PEDs.
      CF patients are normally offered TRT, but the vast amounts he’s having to imbibe to stay competitive will result in fluctuating blood pressure and invariably heart problems.
      The fact that the arm wrestling community is willing to overlook these practices shows a level of obtuse negligence that rivals the bodybuilding world.
