    The only people that should be on the stage are the camera people, athletes, and the refs. Jodi screaming at the refs from 5ft away made this hard to watch.

    You can really see what all that non stop arm wrestling does for Devon. Hours every day just touring and fighting whole gyms. The man is a machine who simply will not stop unless something breaks.

      cutting to 253 he can’t get overpowered like at shw and has unmatched endurance. Guys like denis and Levan it doesn’t matter as they are just to strong. But everyone else it gives them fits
      Especially after Michael Todd gassed him out and Devon added the kings move to his arsenal. I can’t see Anybody beating him at hw after beating prudnik like this.
      I thought prudnik may be able to get him in the 3 wins format but 6 wins good luck beating Devon.

      Devon couldn’t have trained better for this. He’s massive for the new 253lb hw division weighs 270s so he can’t get any more massive for this weight. And he always values table time above anything else and he upped that more than ever and still does his gym lifts.

    • @flibbergibberstein
      @flibbergibberstein 2 роки тому +1

      @@CanariasCanariass I'm not so sure about that. Round 1, Levan did exert himself to secure the pin, and it was a close call. After that it was far more one sided but Levan was sweating. Compare that to Devon vs Denis, Denis looked like he wasn't even trying at all. The final pin in that match where Denis let him have it, Devon was exerting 100% while Denis looked like he wasn't even trying at all. In Devon vs Levan, Levan was absolutely trying hard and exerting himself. Without the injury, I still think Levan would have won but, it wouldn't have been a total blowout like Denis vs Devon imo.

      @oldironsides4107 2 роки тому +10

      Don’t worry it’s for show.
      It’s just a foul and means nothing. They would never determine a match by fouls in a rule set like this. It’s theatrics
      They wanted to solve the problem which they would under stricter rules
      The guy with the longer forearm moves his elbow back on the pad so they can have equal webbing.
      What they’re doing can’t get achieved with that much difference in length in forearm. The only way is if the shorter limbed guy raises his arm.
      It’s just theatrics.

    16:03 - this was Devon’s exact shoulder lock position with Denis years ago, and Denis just ripped through Devon’s lock. Watching how (against this position) Prudnik seemed to be struggling, where he couldn’t even move Devon’s hand by an inch, Vs. how Levan strained himself quite a lot for a win against Devon in a similar position where Devon’s Lock wasn’t as deep as it was with Prudnik & Denis, Vs. How easily Denis could Win from here against Devon’s equally deep lock, that’s just incredible. Peak Denis will beat Levan - no doubt!

    John Brzenk was there together with other champs to congrats Devon. It is amazing with over 4 decades John still keep the excellent health and shape to pull with ones just half of his age and remain less injuries with countless matches. Devon will be like John, with stamina and passion had them bonded whole life with this sport. In the end, most professionals from WAL are so open and friendly despite of the language differences, the Pride and Sport man ship always present.
    Devon since the time he entered arm wrestling world, sure is the one broaden this sport to all horizon of this globe and this man is a living legend for the entertaining talents, sport man ship and continuous proving the athletes like John Brzenk, and like himself, like the others in WAL, in the world still can be in the game while the other sports worn out the athletes with the injuries. Devon and his character, his courage to speak when he can and only speak to bring the positives to everyone together not dividing. The legend not only to make himself a king, a star, not to come and walk away without words but contribute and be a part of everyone from the beginning to the end. Devon always show his passion of making this one among the most healthiest, most exciting sports for a long time even after he retires from WAL.

    14:34 The part that is the most exciting and comes to mind when remembering this match is when Devon yells "Yeah!", elated to know that he's able to equal or even overcome Prudnik's post in an orthodox style, and doesn't have to throw himself into the King's Move just to survive. That's the way I interpret anyway, he even constantly calls himself "old" and "broken", even after winning the match. I feel like he surprised himself and was made very happy when this happened. It looks like it's also almost everyone else's favorite part, given that it's also the **Most replayed** part of the video, if you hover over the video progress bar.

    • @doxy7023
      @doxy7023 2 роки тому +25

      Not necessarily. He knew he's solid in other angles than just the king's move. He's a supermatch specialist. He uses the king's move in round 1 to stop and do massive damage to opponents hand and drain them of energy. That way it's way easier to do other stuff in later rounds as he's fresh in these angles unlike their opponent who usually desperately tries to pin the king's move round 1 cause the pin looks so so close (it's just a bait that Devon sets up, he's deliberately in that open of an angle round 1). He typically employed this strategy ever since Wal switched to supermatch format in 2018, at least against orthodox style pullers. Though if he goes against specialists in unorthodox angles (Michael Todd, Jerry Cadorette), he counters them directly (climbing out of Michael's kings move, meeting Jerry at center in a hook and not letting him get his press angle down)

      bit late and not sure if you've heard of him, but look up knees over toes guy. cant vouch for if he can really bring back knees from as bad as he says, but he claims to Coach alot of pro athletes and supposedly brought his own knees back from multiple surgeries so he could be legit. check him out, he sells programs but from what i seen you can get most if not all of his info sifting through his vids(may be better to look at old ones if they are still up), few simple to set up exercises and gives out standards/progressions for all of em. can say from my experience my whole lower body( including knee my doc recommended physio for) felt way better just doin a few of his movements, when I was outta the gym for a while and stopped doin them noticed knees and total mobility got worse

    Man Prudnyk looked like he was in some disbelief there at times wow, crazy stuff man, Larrats like perfect combination of power meets pure technique is really something else, I really really do hope prudnyk learns from this to and also accepts that Devon was at this time simply better then him no shame in that, I have zero doubt Prudnyk was 1000 percent absolutely positive leading up to this that Devon while formidable was "over the hill" or simply not on his level at this time/anymore, and that he would simply defeat him period, I have zero doubt Prudnyk believed that straight up! so when this happens it can def be a mind screw, I do hope though he takes the loss with humility and has a new found respect/appreciation for how good devon is, instead of taking the excuse/ resentment/ etc path but time will tell.

      I like the little bow he did before there 3rd pull so thats a good sign even just little things like that are good signs of humility and respect.

      Without the kingsmove first round, he would have lost - as always. Shame on Devon.
