It’s so true learning to balance switch will centralise your ability to balance better all over the board. I can’t even roll switch but I really need to learn ! Great video mate 👊🏼
Learning to skate switch at later stage is hard but skating transition in switch must be even harder. Hats off to you doing that. Saying that… I’ve made some small progress since making this video.
Having a switch day is good... the hard thing is to commit to it and don’t give up. Pena que na nossa época switch quase não existia, saying that, it’s never too late! 👊🏼
I've started skating switch alot more when we're out the front just learning to push and ride comfortablly and ollieing cracks etc. It's fun learning all over again lol
I’m sure your switch game is ok but yes, only way to get better with practice. It is like going back to primary school... this time with no pass or fail... doing it just for fun!
@@RonaldoBeatles I'm getting more comfortable on the board switch like as in pushing and just riding it. Got a decent Ollie but takes me abit to set up for it lol. I thinking I'm having more fun now I'm older relearning than I did back as a kid. I'm not going for the big stupid stuff anymore I'm going for the smaller technical stuff now...stuff that won't hopefully hurt as much when I fall 😂😂
It took me a silly accident to realise that the only way we can continue to skate is by keeping ourselves healthy and fit. Other exercises are a must. Skating just once or twice a week is definitely not enough. Keep snowboarding man! 👊🏼
Yeah man... I’m seriously considering a proper switch training program for when I get back. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your comment!
I didn't skate a lot of switch for the first 15 or so years. However in recent years I have put more time into it. There are some tricks I am actually better at in switch now. Also there are a few I can only do in switch. It opens up new things and can be really fun for me.
I know you’re good at switch man. I’ve seen it on your UA-cam channel. I have a question for you? What makes you start? What kept you going? Because It usually very hard be persist on it.
@@RonaldoBeatles Thank you. I can do most of the basics in switch just less consistently. I ended up learning switch for two reasons. Games of skate were one, the second was because of an ankle injury. It took about 9 months to heal and sometimes still gives me problems.
That’s what I thought... often, guys who didn’t start at early stage tends to put more effort into it because of an injury. I guess this is the only good thing about certain injuries haha 😂 Well done man. Your switch game is great. I’m considering doing the same when I get back. At least I’ll try. Thank you sir! 👊🏼
Great video Ronaldo, you made so many good points. As someone who’s been breaking down the switch barrier at the moment it’s tough but very rewarding. You do seem to learn it quickly too because your head already understands what to do it just needs a moment to reverse the movements.
Once I’m back I really wanna have a go at it as well. Gonna start with pushing long distance. Like most things in skateboarding it’s all about practicing. Good luck with your switch journey. I’m watching from here! 👊🏼
I need to work on my switch also. Great point about being better on the body. I fall a lot when I’m trying to do something regular and land switch. Work on my switch and it would help that part too. Yep. Need to work on it.
I’m sure your switch game is ok... but it will definitely improve your skating even more. I’m determined to give it a go once I’m back on the board! Thanks for watching man. 👊🏼
Cara, quando você tiver dando aquele rolezinho lá no bowl e quando estiver voltando de fakie, tentasse uma batida ou fazer uns carves. Essa é uma boa maneira p vc praticar um pouco de switch. 🤘🏼
Thanks man... I’m actually enjoying creating this type of content as well. It will be a while before I can skate so this will keep me entertained for a while. Tks for watching it! 👊🏼
Man I want to learn to switch Ollie up stuff so bad but skating that way I feel I will never feel comfortable. Like I went from terrible to okay but the tricks are super hard to get again.
From terrible to ok... that sounds good to me man. Means progression and it opens up a whole new window of possibilities. Hardest thing with going up something in switch is the fear of hanging up and most of the time is because we lack in speed rather than hight. I’m still struggling with it too big time. The video is a good reminder to us all that we should give switch a go and put a lot more effort into it. Thanks for watching man... appreciate your time and good luck with those curbs! 👊🏼
Got what you mean in the beginning dude, I just had a match with my friend, he can do nollie shovit, so he got an letter on me because I can't do switch or nollie unless it is switch ollie or just a nollie
Yeah... give it a go. It’s hard at the begging but once you get used to it you will open up a whole new set of tricks. Start just pushing and build up from that. 👊🏼
Sorry to hear bro... you probably sprain your ankle and RICE is great for that Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevate. If it persist you should definable get it checked but usually strains and Sprains goes away in a few days. 🤞I made a video about it. Hopefully it might help. As for skating switch? Honestly I don’t think that’s the answer. Skating switch is good on a long run... it will certainly relieve the stress on the ankle but rest and r-i-c-e should be the best thing at this stage. Hope you get better soon buddy! 👊🏼

Thanks Neil... I guess it would be good to learn how to pump on the bowl in switch. Just the thought of it sounds fun. Hard but fun too! 👊🏼
@@RonaldoBeatles oh yeah definitely ! I just need to how to walk before I can run if you know what I mean 😝
@@NeilHesterSkateboarding absolutely... you don’t want to end up like these people that need a new knee at 45 haha 😂 😂
