@@KieranClarkSkates hey Kieran… the cage with the handles are really good for filming lines, saying that, I’ve been using on the little tripod a lot as well.

@ I think the cage is super smart, the fact you can just drop all those other bits of kit onto it is genius.

Hey Philip… I didn’t put any links because I’m not an Amazon affiliate. I got some from Amazon and others directly from the Neewer website. * NEEWER 15 Pro Max Cage Video Rig Compatible with iPhone, 2 Handles 67mm Metal Adapter 17mm Lens Backplane Cleaning Cloth, Platform Phone Stabilizer for Video, PA024K. * The filters I also bought from Neewer (Variable ND and Black mist filter) this is not necessary if you’re happy with the way iPhone footage look. * Insta360 Selfie Stick with Integrated Tripod (from Amazon) There are quite a few option when it comes to wireless mic. Ulanzi makes some very affordable ones but if you want something even better and easy to use, Rode and DJI also makes some good ones, they are just a bit more pricey. The base plate is from smallrig which I bought quite a while ago for my main camera. If you wanna see how my footage came out just have a look on my last IG post. Hope it helps! ✨👊🏼✨

@AdventuresInSkateboarding it will be great for your head talking videos and situations where you have time to think about all the settings, lighting etc…. But once you get used to it I’m sure you will be taking it everywhere. It’s a great skill to have and it’s fun to learn. Everything I know, which is not a lot at all, I learned thanks to our UA-cam skate adventure.

Skateboarding is a mystery and we all have are weaknesses. You might not be as comfortable with board slides but I’m sure you have many other tricks under your belt. Good luck with the FS board slide. That’s a bloody cool trick and it’s definitely on my list as well. Let us know how you get on! ✨👊🏼✨

@ absolutely mate, capitalise on that feeling and use it to get the next trick before you forget what it’s like and keep repeating that and it will boost your progression massively 👍🏻 keep practicing the new learns too so they do t drop out of your trick bag. I find FS boardslide so cool and very scary also, specially when there is not enough wax ouch 😩 That’s probably my next challenge once I get back. If you have any tips on fs board slide let me know… that will be welcome but for now… I need a bit of Brazilian heat ☀️☀️☀️

@RonaldoBeatles focus on good posture. Land tall with shoulds above hips and knees bent. The same as any board slide, but any lean will send you or your board back behind you. Posture is everything.

@ cheers Anthony. Totally agree… in fact a lot of what we do wrong in general… comes from bad posture. I had a good slam last time I tried so I’ll go easy on this one but I’ll give definitely give it a try next time! ✨

@@fd_skate thanks Magnus… if you can board slide and half cab, you can definitely do the HC board slide. The only think stopping is fear as it’s bloody scary at the beginning. You should give it another go. Starting almost at the end of the rail help me build confidence. Still work in progress for sure but I was happy to at least land a couple of tinny ones ☺️ Still trying to land tre…. Too scared to commit. Saw that you did one… Do you have any tip? ✨👊🏼✨

@@RonaldoBeatles I am probably the worst person to ask for advice when it comes to the tre flip lol. My path towards that trick has been veeeery crooked. For me the biggest hurdle (I think) was balance. Once the balance started to improve, the trick followed. And to get that balance, it's "just" a matter of practicing. That being said, I still have a far way to go before having that trick in my bag. Good luck with it!

@@fd_skate sometimes I’m able to scoop the full 360° rotation but I don’t think I can stay up in the air for that long. To be very honest… a part from the skate Mafia micro board, I never even committed to try to land one that’s how chicken I am 😂

@@RonaldoBeatles I know many tutorials that put great emphasis on jumping really high to allow the board to complete the rotation under you, but I have friends that can land the tre flip without jumping much at all. Instead the have a technique where the board is rotating and really fast. A lot of these tricks are difficult because we imagine them to be super difficult. The mind is s powerful adversary sometimes. Best of luck with it man! <3

@@SkateboardingWithYerDa hey… thanks man. I bought this rail from Decathlon because as I really wanna get over this fear of board slides. I really think the main cause for this is just not doing it enough. It’s a start! I’m heading to João Pessoa which is northeast of Brazil. Very hot at this time of the year but I’m not taking my board. Its predominantly a beach holiday! Back to France at the end of January so I’ll be taking a couple of weeks break from YT which is probably a good thing 😀

Initially I also thought it was just a war banker that was tuned into a skatepark but apparently SKF used the space to continue to produce bearings for war machinery between world war 1 and 2… the place is just unique!

I had a good surgery but I also took the physio really serious. I remember the doctor telling me that a good surgery represents only 50 to 60% of the process and the rest is all down to the PT. Trying to keep the weight down as well has helped a lot. Gonna be 50 next year my friend so fingers crossed I can keep going this way. Slowly… gaining a few tricks… loosing others but keep on skating! Thanks for being here my friend. Hope we can get to skate together one day! ✨👊🏼✨

Another good tip that Clarke also mentioned on here is just to keep practicing on lower stuff so that we can build the right muscle memory and gain confidence to move into higher ledges with a bit more speed. Backside 50-50 feels so cool I really wanna keep giving it a try. Thanks Kieran… hope to skate together at some point. ✨✨👊🏼✨✨

Thanks man… took a long break I guess! The practicality of filming with the iPhone has made it a lot easier. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting frequently but at least the phone is always there should I need it. Weather in Nice is cold but often bright and sunny. I should come to visit one day! ✨👊🏼✨
