A prisoner Ogryn? Understandable, can't really blame them. A prisoner Psyker? I wouldn't trust one even if my life depended on it, and I'm saying this as a Seer Psyker main.
We all quote the Cadian battlecries because they're cool, but after an interaction with a Cadian and a non-Cadian veteran, it really opens your eyes to the idea that there's more to the Guard than the Cadians and that non-Cadian guards likely get tired of the rhetoric. "Oh, here we go again. We get it, you're from Cadia, just fire the damn Las and shut up!" Just an interesting bit of immersion.
Just as Ultramarines ars poster-boys of Space Marines, Cadian Shocktroops are commercial face of Imperial Guard. Makes sense the Veteran likes Ogryn a bit more then the others. They probably fought alongside some at one point or other. Though I would like more interaction between the two.
All playable characters have absolutely ridiculously good voice actors in this game, but this guy takes the cake. The way they managed to conceive his bitterness and paranoia is remarkable. Also the occasional friendly interactions, especially with the Ogryns make him feel very human. Can't overstate how well they nailed the dialogue and VA work in this game.
Veterans, out of all classes, feel like they actually belong in an Inquisitor's warband. They have the most sharp dresses and also complain the least. Damn, I originally switched to the female cutthroat voice from the male one because I could've sworn there wasn't getting much dialogue during the first beta. Watching this is proof I was surely wrong.
The Cutthroat is definitely on the more reserved side for when it comes to dialogue in general, the Professional is talkative and the Loose Cannon is rowdy, but the Cutthroat is there to do their duty and be done with it. The background info you also pick changes the way your reject talks in certain situations. I picked NCO promotion which is why 2 or 3 times in the Vid you can hear my guy giving the squad advice or giving orders, if i picked “Saved by the Sarge” or “Elite Formation” I def think the dialogue woulda been different

once again, they said that during testing the player feedback on Accurate recoiless lasgun was shite, so recoil was added to feel better. This topic is a non-issue, recoil is needed for a gun to feel good, along with sound design, those two are vital player feedback so that the mouseclick feels like a trigger pull of the lasgun, it just feels better to have recoil than to have none.
Ayy the two explanations to my cryptic reply are here. 1. Because that's what people expect a rifle to have, like a barrel for example. 2. Because of the air inside and around the muzzle heating and expanding violently from the high intensity laser causing recoil.
Guardsman with Psyker: “You fucking donkey.”
Guardsman with Ogryn: “Oh dear. Oh dear. Gorgeous.”
As it should be.
Ogryn allies will give their lives for you, psyker allies will accidentally explode your brain.
Ogryn require more care and a psyker can kill your entire squad and more on accident
