I would definitely buy from you. I always get pleasure from watching you. It instills confidence to witness how honest and decent you are.
On the subject of owatrol, i sold my 11 plate mercedes sprinter nigh on 3 years ago and recently met the person who bought it. He actually asked what i treated the bumpers with as they looked brilliant compared to his other newer vans. I actually treated them with polytrol atleast a year prior to the sale so it has literally lasted over four years and as a bonus i still have 3/4 of a tin as a little goes a long way.
I see the registration on the Suzuki Swift is WD63 OMO. Many years ago when I was young there was a washing powder called OMO. Apparently women used to put a box of OMO in the window as a sign to the milkman meaning old man out. Ian Dury mentioned this in one of his songs, referring to a woman who took an overdose of OMO that made the neighbours talk. The song was called "this is what we find".
Could have been watching Frankie Vaughan
On the telly and giving herself a scratch
lol!!!
Nice to see there's customers willing to try and fix minor issues themselves rather than just being demanding of you...
Kudos to you dealing with gen. public these days (I couldn't 😂)
Lol, cheers
Funnily enough my Garmin has updated itself three times in the last 6 months when plugged into my computer Fair play to the buyer on the contact cleaner fix on the cruise control switch 🙂
Yes bit of a star
Excellent video James, love the prep and paint part and the wheel tidy up.🙂👍
Thank you!
Yo are a decent car dealer, and a decent honest man, bless you
Many thanks
I agree
The opposite of a Snake
Some very useful info here, thanks for the great video.
Cheers
Nice video James. Like your honesty in the way you deal with things. Another UA-camr in the north of England deals with his cars in a similar way to you. Always like how you remain positive and how you explain things.😀👍👍
Many thanks
James, great video and content as always. Your a decent honest man, human and car dealer and that is why people have and will buy cars off you.
Thanks much appreciated
great job James keep em coming mate
Cheers
Always look forward to your updates!
I appreciate that!
It's good to see you getting hands-on again. James, l learn a lot from this type of video. I bought the oil from an earlier video
Good stuff
These bodywork repair tutorial videos are really informative, thanks for taking the time to go through all the stages so clearly.
Glad you like them!
@@ChopsGarage Wish you would do more of the paint touch up and polishing. Was this a metalic paint
I had an i40. Brilliant car and massive boot
Agreed
Great video as always, still top seller. 👍👍👍👍
Just did Bournemouth and back over the last week taking a break. Covered nigh on 900 miles - its a 13 plate Duster and the aircon amazes me in still being ice cold .......... had to turn it off a couple of times on the way there and back because it made is too cold !!!!
Good little cars
Swift looking good👍🏻
Good to some people try not to make your life harder james and that's for the i40 owner and peugeot owner, good job on the paint on the suzuki 👌👍
Cheers Mark
James, look up Rustoleum Rust Reformer, it's a black rust converting primer in an aerosol and would be perfect for your quick fettling of steel wheels.
Ok many thanks
Great Video - always lots of care :)
Many thanks!
As usual, enjoyed watching
Many thanks
I have a 1999 bmw E38 its mint realy mint , ive had it years ,i dropped a can off liquid molly injector cleaner in it with 50 quid fuel today After 30 mile its like a new Engine its changed the whole engine ,so responsive .
Ill give it a go
I miss Jason's channel. Such a nice chap
Well his business is still going, maybe bung him a message
Swift looks nice when I was after a small cheap to run car it was choice between a swift or a panda , I found a decent panda quite close so went with that 👍
Doing great mate, try not masking as close then your fade out thinner won't have a line, if you do it right on those corners you'll not have to buff, on that mirror just paint the whole thing, saves messing about.
cheers
@@ChopsGarage OK bud
Another good video James 🚘🚙🚗👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍💥
Thanks 👍
Seems a sweet guy.
Had Problems with my Cruise Control on my Berlingo Multispace B9, Had a little Fettle and it turned out to be the Brake Switch which is Located in the Passenger Footwell, Adjusted it One Click and its been good ever since. Would be Really Interested in the 2006 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 16v but it seems it is a Bit Thirsty, going to look into it a bit more.
Nice fix
Enjoyable viewing again !
Cheers
Allways a thumbs up with your vids.
I appreciate that!
When you spray steel wheels , if you wipe some tire shine on the tire sidewalls before you spray the black this will stop any overspray sticking.
That's a good tip.👍
Yes I often wipe grease over them to do the same
Nice one, chops. Sound dealer to by a motor from. Cheers.
Thanks
Having a come back to the dealer seems to be in order if you are a raging Karen. For normal people it is rather annoying and you don't want to do it unless you really have to. It makes more sense that way as long as you have to deal with people like James and his Chops Garage. Your customer did the right thing.
Cheers
Chops garage , it is amazing how customers from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 and Romania have to pay 5000 euro for a 2007 Passat but in the uk they offer £500 for £1295 Passat !
Yup UK for nothing used cars
Yes and people still claim our prices are high
Just as bad here in Crete. I have a Dacia duster now worth more than what I paid for it 6 years ago.😂
Same in Spain. My Doblo will sell for more than I paid for it 4 years ago.
Shame everything I'd like to buy has gone up in value too
Parking sensor on my Peugeot 3008 failed. Then during the start of the drier weather it started working again. I think something got damp somewhere. I've not had issues since.
Yah..Go Dave !
What a wonderful human interaction ! Dealt with in a methodical adult way. Small issue, work it out, move on 👍
Not that hard is it ??
True
Ive heard that never getting another car again somewhere before, my Dad said that back in maybe 2003 just before he retired, since then he bought another civic that I had off him, a corsa that fell apart, 2 mercs and currently a bmw 218 tourer because his c class was too low and he struggled getting in and out. And even now he keeps looking at 4 series gran coupe's and 5 series gt models.
Lol
Sat nav common problem with Audi mmi unit . Audi users go into settings / presentation mode then you set where you are and it starts working again 😀😀
Ah ok cheers
I owned a 2014 (64) i40 for many years and unfortunately the only way I got my satnav updated was via a main dealer. Takes some time and you must not key off the car in the process (apparently).
Yes I heard this
Common fault and Kia and Hyundai of early 2010s. Cruise switch gets dust in it contact cleaner solves it usually
Saw something the other day about someone who wants to reject the 8 year old car he has owned for 4 years because its dead.
Madness
Great content, but I'm not sure if you have realised that the aspect ratio is wrong, as in the video does not fill the screen. Has been like that on a few of your recent videos.
Thanks for the owatrol recommendation but bought it £3.00 cheaper on EBay. And that was after looking at your link with the discount code.
Owatrol - bought some too for my Trafic van bumpers and trims. WOW, what a product. Many thanks.
Glad I could help!
What paint did you use for the wheels? I need to do the same thing on mine, I started researching but overcomplicated it and never bothered!
Just Wheel Silver, its in Halfords
Ah ultra hard. Them days are long gone for me.
chops could please ask Sam which leather product he used to leave your seats with that lovely wet look shine..lovin the videos fella ur a star
Leather on seats should,nt shine
@@tonywatson1412 your right , but i like it all the same, especially when you have dimpled texture such as in my old bmw
Been a long long time since I saw Sam I'm afraid
@@ChopsGarage oh dear, how is he going to fund this years road trip without the help of chops shallow pocketss...fingers crossed you have not all fallen out ...cheers for the crap reply...your a star fella Ian

Hi Stevie
I have a 23 plate Skoda octavia, the parking sensors stop working every couple of weeks then come back on, but the problems not there when I take it into Skoda.
Like going to doctors
Pure Gowld Dust > Get the customer to do the repairs you should have done lol
Na
You see James...too many gizmos on modern cars.../ dont get the brass neck on some costomers..what EXACTLY are they looking for...?
Another video with thick borders around top, bottom and sides!
All the way round then ….
Need to check output settings on software must of changed by mistake
Same for me and continual buffering.
@@christurner4994 buffering is your connection, nothing to do with video
Solar storms causing satellite problems?
You traders always twisting it so it’s the customers fault. More regulations are needed in this industry
Is it an import that would have European map
What happened to Jason and tyre kickers, used to watch his videos also but they suddenly stopped not long after he moved premises. It's ok James I've been watching you since Alfa regatsi days (unsure on spelling there 😂😂). Great video as always.
Cheers buddy. I think he paused during move then realised time better spent doing more cars
What happened to Jason and Tyre kickers? x
No idea guess more profitable to prep cars than do vids
Dear Mr Chops can you please go back to normal size video size.
It's a bit small on my phone 😢 like viewing through a letterbox.
Thanks 😊 ..
Was no aware it had done that
@@ChopsGarage thick border around the edges - would be a nightmare watching on a phone I imagine
@@ChopsGarage That's the only reason I mentioned it to make you aware 😇😊😉👍👍. I usually not one for complaining especially when I know the effort put in to making great content 👍👍
Not a full size on my TV either big black border all round otherwise good video. Yes what happened to Jason and his tyre kickers channel is he still trading just stopped his UA-cam channel maybe ?
😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
Any idea what happened to Jason at Tyre Kickers James?
I bought some cleaning stuff from him, but he just disappeared. Joe at Shifting Metal sells kits but hasn't answered my comment regarding buying from him.
No guess not worth his time recording
Careful with that 1.2 Peugeot chops, engines are renowned for burning oil, due to piston rings
Yes this had fsh with belt so educated risk
@@ChopsGarage fair enough, but lots of dealers won’t touch these due to the burning oil issue
Pity all traders are not like you. We rent out a sizeable premises to a guy who is a right cowboy. He’s covered by a 1950s landlord and tenant act but long term he will be out. So many unscrupulous dealers in the trade.
What is he doing?
I have a 2015 I40 and randomly as i am driving it loses where i am on the map but the voice knows exactly where i am, After a varied period of time it will work perfectly.. This is a shame as it is the only fault on the car even after 180,000 miles
Hopefully I can feedback what sorts this
go
Where?
Instead of Owatrol I used peanut butter on the car plastics and the dog licked it all off.
lol!
What happened to Jason & Tyre Kickers?
I guess just was not worth his time. Its more profitable to prep a car than to do a vid tbh
What happened to Jason @tyre kickers?
Don't know
Tell the guy with the sat nav to reset to factory and see if that works. Also, if the previous owner had paired their phone with the car it could still be linked and think it’s where the phone is.
Reset to factory gets rid of such things as the car then has to find where it is.
Best sat n is the current Renault Google based system, works far better than Tom Tom live and, still provides traffic info and better still, it updates itself with over the air updates. First you know about it the car tells you it has updated the maps or whatever other software needed updating. Brilliant system.
Saying that though, my Austral has to go to dealer for a software update because it has electric seats that go back nd lower into a “park” position when you turn the car off, trouble is it can crush rear passengers toes.
Strange thing is the dealer said it needs a software update that can take hours to work. Hmm, me thinks there might be a physical or mechanical fix to the seat as I did ask can’t it be done with an over the air update that every other part of the car uses.
Oh, stop calling door mirrors wing mirrors! The clue is you get in through the door and not the wing!
It’s not being picky or pedantic at all as doors are door and wings are wings!
It’s basically a sign of ignorance to call door mirrors wing mirrors especially as wing mirrors were basically banned decades ago on pedestrian safety.
Another thing don’t judge customers parents by the car they drive, the Rang Rover driver you implied was picky but could afford a Range Rover, did you ask if he owned it, or was it a company car or on lease? £190 a month will get you a new Landrover Defender on a business lease. Hardly expensive is it?
By your car ownership , using your metric I would describe you as a person who needs attention with look at me cars or, all show and no go cars.
Think about it when you air your thoughts on customers parents. Very unprofessional.
If you saw my car you would make the expected stupid comment, £40,000 car must have loads of money. Wrong! I’m disabled so lease my car for around £350 a month but, that includes, insurance, tyres, tax, well zero rated but all I pay for is fuel and it would cost me as much to have a tiny car. It’s called Motability!
The basic rule is don’t judge a book by its cover!
Will do cheers
I’m sorry, but who still using in 2024 the satellite navigation?
I normally just put a black bin bag over the wheels when I'm doing small blowing saves on cleaning the paint of later
@paramedicchriskidsbookseries introduced me to your channel, I really enjoyed watching,
