It's likely that they cut the dialogue and scenes with Angrenor Once-Honored because the Dragonborn can already purchase Hjerim as a home through the "Blood On The Ice" quest. The game developers probably didn't see the point in the Dragonborn having two properties in Windhelm!

im not gonna lie... ive been obsessed with the elder scrolls since i played daggerfall and morrowwind on pc as a kid. i got SO excited to play the expansions as they released. i was born in 92, so i grew up with plenty of arcade games (i miss arcades. playing tmnt turtles in time and the Simpsons with 3 friends after school was our jam), kings quest (i HATE that rat), myst, all of sega saturn, mortal kombat and doom for pc, etc. i moved to consoles predominantly with metal gear solid.. but when morrowwind came out i had a level of freedom and choice that blew my mind. i could do ANYTHING.. or it felt at least, until oblivion offered more, and skyrim did again. but the elder scrolls have ALWAYS been special to me. i love wasteland, xcom, shadowrun genesis and snes, fallout, etc.. but never had a game come this close to letting me live my d&d fantasy fully. you best bet i will buy the new ps5 JUST for the new elder scrolls. im STILL obsessed with metal gear solid (not the spinoffs though), and since then ive picked up the novels and fantastic games for the witcher series.. ghost of t starting japanese word looks to scratch the same itch. but had i not played morrowwind, daggerfall, battlespire, and the horrid redguard (i loved it as a kid, but replaying it now is brutal), i may have never left the more actiony, point and click, and tabletop games of my smaller childhood. i subscribed to your channel ages ago after just one video, bc i could see the love of the game you had. the fact that you regularly post content on what... a 8-10 year old game shows how great it is. sure, ive bought more copies of it thsn I'd care to admit.. but i love the upgraded ps4 version... and my favorite version is on the switch (first nintendo console ive owned since snes and gba), as who wouldnt love playing skyrim with all the dlc on your back patio in a hammock on summer nights? people poke fun at Bethesda for releasing buggy games... sure. but they try to patch out tge issues as they are known. besides, making a game that offers SO much choice and player control in a massive world that is never blocked off makes games like gta and red dead feel a bit more basic. theyre fantastic games, sure. and they shine in their portrayals of their worlds.. elder scrolls is not perfect, but it's SO open ended, its the game i compare ALL fantasy action rpg's to. and rightfully so. btw, i blew the minds of my friends when i showed them not only the whiterun glitch for unlimited money, but also the glitches in oblivion like the floating paintbrush ladders you could make, or my favorite... cloning any item as many times as you want with a trick using scrolls (not single existing quest items though, obviously). i flooded the market with thousands of soul gems and glass gear and became wealthy. thanks glitchy scroll cloning mechanic in vanilla oblivion! you helped me win a 50 dollar bet at age 15. bought a LOT of weed for a 15 year old. lol dont judge, I'll clone more weed with the 22 scrolls of flame thst i have! shout out to discworld. meant to mention it 7 chapters ago.

I always watch your videos during dinner and just now I was Lucky enough for you to upload just as I was eating 😂
Windhelm is notable for two reasons. It starts the DB questline and houses the Stormcloaks.
For more clarification on those points:
_It's notable because you can start the quest line to join a bunch of psycho murderers._
And
_It's the home of a bunch of racist bigots who think they can fight the Cyrodilic Empire._
A.k.a _Fucking idiots_
@@metetural9140 Calm minded (besides the joker) professional killers and the stormcloaks had no intention of fighting the empire, I suppose you don't watch a lot of these videos because Nate himself references it. They would not attack solitude while the emperor was there for the very reason that they didn't want to fight the empire
@@belland_dog8235 "You don't watch a lot of these videos." Get off your high hrothgaar horse there mate I've been watching his videos for over a year now and I'm huge into the lore of the universe. If starting the civil war didn't already start a war then I don't know what fucking will. They are at war with the Empire for their "independence". They are fighting a legion of Imperial soldiers led by an Imperial General who directly serves the imperial bloody throne. Whether you like it or not they are at war
I love that people legitimately, emotionally argue over/about Skyrim 😭
Mete Tural the Empire is fighting against the Stormcloaks, but they aren’t going all out because they are spread out across Tamriel. If Ulfric had killed the Emperor, though, that would have made a difference because the entire Empire, its military and its citizens, would want Ulfric’s head for that, and Ulfric would face an Imperial army that would become far more than he could handle. Ulfric is fighting the Empire, but he’s “not fighting the Empire.”
Just found a Windhelm Stables Key in a coffin in the Windhelm Hall of the Dead...first time I've found that...just started playin again after a 3 year pause...these videos got me back into it...thanx Nate !!!
I would love to see you do a video of cut questlines!
I love this channel, i watch before i head off to work and they always make my day better as u never scese to find at least one thing that i literally go wow at!
Thanks dude. Keep them coming ❤
Also a fun fact: none of the custom voiced followers I've had like Windhelm especially Inigo
Inigo is the best possible follower, and nobody can change my mind on that.

Damn Nate! I prefer my lusty argonian maid
If he's the JK Rowling of Tamriel then holy shit he must be a terrible author

I am so glad I found you your videos are THE BEST, Keep It Up Comrade
I'm TERRIFIED of Chaurus. They're easily my least favorite enemy in any game. Still tho, I kinda want one as a pet. I dunno, putting a collar on one and taking it out for walks sounds swell.

I don't know if you've covered this in a video of 10 tiny details or anything before. But something I only found out today was if you have Meridia's beacon in your inventory and get close to her shrine it will glow with a white light to guide you to her temple.

One would think that Once-Honored was intended to adopt the kid and they’d live in the house, rather than it staying empty and it ties up some loose ends.
Last time I was this late, Alduin actually got to eat Nirn
You should tell the full story of Ahzidal. The man is a legend.
But Ahzidal was related to Sarthaal not Windhelm.
Mister Taz Fuck Windhelm! Sarthaal was were it was at!
In the beginning when Nick begins explaining Aventus Arentino's house quest I was like: "you're not gonna do this again, are you?" ...
Nate: "Wintery"
Also Nate: *shows Windhelm with clear skies*
It's likely that they cut the dialogue and scenes with Angrenor Once-Honored because the Dragonborn can already purchase Hjerim as a home through the "Blood On The Ice" quest. The game developers probably didn't see the point in the Dragonborn having two properties in Windhelm!
I wish Bethesda made a DLC that allowed you to explore all of the cut content.
If you don't mind mods and are on PC, check out "The Cutting Room Floor." It's a mod that adds back much of the cut content.
No one tell Nate that lobsters are very closely related to cockroaches and crickets.. lol
Some of the most expensive and tasty seafood are basically ocean bugs. Shrimp, prawns, crab, lobster and more. Biologically and physically they’re nearly identical. Theoretically if giant rad roaches or chaurus existed in real life, they would taste very similar to lobster or shrimp. They would probably be pretty good!
It’s just a mental barrier. People used to feed lobster and shrimp to prisoners and homeless because it was seen as disgusting and dirty to eat a bottom feeding bug.
I believe the chaurus pie was supposed to be in skyrim the only evidence I have for that is that in solitude after the bards college quest at the fire festival will be a man selling meat pies you can ask him for one and he will give you an apple pie that line always confused me and my theory backed up by the fact you can meet the man who wrote the book
Nice notice

I love your channel so much I've learned so much and visited so many places in skyrim i have never explored your channel is amazing and you're amazing nate
Never was this early before, playing Skyrim right now then got the notification.
im not gonna lie... ive been obsessed with the elder scrolls since i played daggerfall and morrowwind on pc as a kid. i got SO excited to play the expansions as they released.
i was born in 92, so i grew up with plenty of arcade games (i miss arcades. playing tmnt turtles in time and the Simpsons with 3 friends after school was our jam), kings quest (i HATE that rat), myst, all of sega saturn, mortal kombat and doom for pc, etc. i moved to consoles predominantly with metal gear solid.. but when morrowwind came out i had a level of freedom and choice that blew my mind. i could do ANYTHING.. or it felt at least, until oblivion offered more, and skyrim did again.
but the elder scrolls have ALWAYS been special to me. i love wasteland, xcom, shadowrun genesis and snes, fallout, etc.. but never had a game come this close to letting me live my d&d fantasy fully.
you best bet i will buy the new ps5 JUST for the new elder scrolls.
im STILL obsessed with metal gear solid (not the spinoffs though), and since then ive picked up the novels and fantastic games for the witcher series..
ghost of t starting japanese word looks to scratch the same itch.
but had i not played morrowwind, daggerfall, battlespire, and the horrid redguard (i loved it as a kid, but replaying it now is brutal), i may have never left the more actiony, point and click, and tabletop games of my smaller childhood.
i subscribed to your channel ages ago after just one video, bc i could see the love of the game you had.
the fact that you regularly post content on what... a 8-10 year old game shows how great it is.
sure, ive bought more copies of it thsn I'd care to admit.. but i love the upgraded ps4 version... and my favorite version is on the switch (first nintendo console ive owned since snes and gba), as who wouldnt love playing skyrim with all the dlc on your back patio in a hammock on summer nights?
people poke fun at Bethesda for releasing buggy games... sure. but they try to patch out tge issues as they are known. besides, making a game that offers SO much choice and player control in a massive world that is never blocked off makes games like gta and red dead feel a bit more basic. theyre fantastic games, sure. and they shine in their portrayals of their worlds..
elder scrolls is not perfect, but it's SO open ended, its the game i compare ALL fantasy action rpg's to. and rightfully so.
btw, i blew the minds of my friends when i showed them not only the whiterun glitch for unlimited money, but also the glitches in oblivion like the floating paintbrush ladders you could make, or my favorite... cloning any item as many times as you want with a trick using scrolls (not single existing quest items though, obviously).
i flooded the market with thousands of soul gems and glass gear and became wealthy. thanks glitchy scroll cloning mechanic in vanilla oblivion! you helped me win a 50 dollar bet at age 15. bought a LOT of weed for a 15 year old. lol
dont judge, I'll clone more weed with the 22 scrolls of flame thst i have!
shout out to discworld. meant to mention it 7 chapters ago.
Someone in the dev team must have some serioua issues with squatters taking residence in his or her property and Todd Howard be like "Yo your taking your personal issues to work, stop that and take it out of our game!"
The potential beauty of Skyrim is amazing, especially because sse, is already gorgeous.
Have this comment and may the algorithm bless you, Nate. We'll see you next time.
i remember watching something that explained that windhelm was sacked by the Demons of Kamal who had invaded from the mysterious land of Akavir In the mid Second Era,
the Ebonheart Pact was formed to take up arms againts the demons resulting in major loss for the demons and the liberation of windwhelm
