Nice work Tim! Mark did a bunch of Kato EMD F units for me this past summer in the old CNW freight paint scheme. He did a really nice job. I'm excited to see how Arlington Heights turns out. My father has lived there for the past 40 years and it'll be cool to see how you bring the village to life.
really wish people would make these cool fictional layouts of "what if". fallen flags have unlimited possibilities and to finally see somebody else with the money do such a thing, is a godsend in my eyes. please, keep your work up. it is nothing but appealing that finally somebody has a similar model train mindset I do.
I'm stuck in the mid 60s with Northern Pacific and Milwaukee Road around Spokane so I can add the older CP scheme as interchange. You are doing a excellent job on your road.
Curious question, if this is based off the actual C&NW Harvard sub, will you try making things similar to current time? Like Harvard's real station, or is everything just merely fictional?
Not at this point. I'm trying to keep it consistent with similar higher speed trains that ran in 2013. The Acela and the Wolverine on Amtrak for example run without a dedicated baggage car. Same with the Brightline service that got introduced in Florida. I will say I was initially skeptical of running without a baggage car, but after riding the Acela last year on vacation and seeing that cars had ample space to put plenty of luggage, I get it now!

I think you need to model a small Warhammer railroad!👍
Progress 👍🤠👍
Do the Evansville and Chemung trains exist in this universe?

Yes. That's why I'm taking my time to really prep for Arlington Heights, I want the station to look as close to the real thing as I can.
No baggage car?
