Today we're busting a variety of myths in Destiny 2! As with all online communities, there tends to be a lot of misinformation and other "myths" that float around even though they really aren't accurate. So in this video, we go through a bunch of the myths that I've seen recently, and also cover a bunch of cool "confirmed" myths that let you do insane things like solo a raid boss!

I found an OOB spot. If you go to the end of the impass cyst, the one with all the taken blight where you can't jump, when you finish, you have to jump across some rocks to get out. If you look up above the middle rock on the right side, there's a hole in the ceiling. There's also one within the main room, but I couldn't describe where exactly. I used a stasis crystal to get up on a small ledge and then go out. There's nothing out there really, but it's still fun.
Add this to the list:
you can transfer any weapon/armor from the vault to your guardian (or the revers) without accessing it (the vault), using the DIM web app.

For the Menagerie one, it's most likely a left over artifact of the Arena/Seasonal type modes. They probably just use the code for the Menagerie as a base for them since they use the same bar fill mechanic from the Menagerie. I'd love for it to come back, but I feel like that's the real reason.
The issue with that is. If it was a code used for the old menagerie it wouldnt be showing up in the tower. It would be showing up where Leviathan raid used to be. so some of the code has had to be changed.
Thinking about the radar it’s probably a curved circle because it’s mimicking the helmet’s curved visor shape.
Or maybe because of the fov? Maybe not
I think so too. It's as if camera is inside of helmet and "records" what guardians eyes would see.
Here's one I discovered playing through the final shape campaign with my friends, in the witness final boss, crow can kill you if you stand in front of him while he's shooting, think the others can as well but I haven't tested to see
I've seen a video of someone dying to Cayde, the death screen even said "Killed by Cayde-6"

he can still kill you it’s just if your there during a turn or smth he will push you because he kills using physics and now that you can’t die to fall damage or hitting a wall hard you get pushed

It’s rather new thankfully. Forget the exact patch but iirc it was just before final shape.
Now if only auto hide actually worked And we didn’t just get a gray rectangle all the time

14:27 this has been happening since D2 launched on pc. It works on most cloth objects that display physics. Some weird render issue
The third myth within the dreaming city is called a funnel. For some reason out of map in a lot of areas there are specific "funnels" that grab the player and push them into the new areas box. This particular one doesn't have a box and so you can funnel past the death barrier and enter. The dreaming city has plenty including alot of funnels into different ascendant challenges
I don’t know if anyone else has found out either - but I happened to find a funny lil thing while playing Destiny the other week!
I used my selfie emote and then a dance emote while rotating around the platform on the Anomaly crucible map. It makes it so your camera stays in one place while your character continues to spin around. It goes on forever because of the dance emote 😂
I don't remember if I have the Selfie emote, but I kinda want to give this a try.
@@VGBrothers you definitely should if you have it! My friends and I were in a private rumble match when I tried it. If not on the moving platform, it sticks the camera to the back of your characters head lol
@desteeria388 I do have it, and it's very entertaining to witness. Selfie does combine with other emotes that don't have extra effects, like you see with the Basketball example in the video. Funnily enough, the Selfie camera thing also works with multiplayer emotes as well, like the Dr. Livesey walk (Unyielding March).
But my go-to emote combo will always be Striker's Patience and Zeus-like Physique.

After the final shape crota is still 'pushable' but due to a change his behavior is a little different so it's harder to get him to behave while lining him up for a 'push'. It's still doable though.
Fun fact. Normally you can't use weapons or skills in social spaces but in the Enclave, you can actually go high enough in the entrance to be able to use everything. For that you need to climb on the light on the right (when facing the enclave's door) and climb a bit on the mountain. It is quite small but you can still use everything.

The Mithrax cloak thing isn't specific to him. Its something people noticed with Cayde a WHILE ago and it still works with him and crow during the campaign. I tested it in a few areas where they're sitting or standing together and both their cloaks do it. I can only assume its some safeguard to keep cloaks from clipping into npc models so when you look it them it's resting where bungie wants it.

Here’s a fun one. I’m not sure if this is known or intentional as no one uses this weapon, but Collective Obligation will gain a void debuff if you get hit by that debuff while you’re holding the gun. This works in both PvE and PvP.
For example, let’s say I’m holding Collective and I get hit by a suppressor grenade. Collective will have suppression rounds ready
Its a bug. Collective obligation is only suppost to Steal the debuff from the enemy affected by it. Meaning you have to hit a person with Either Volatile - Suppress - the last one i dont remember :D But they need to be affected by those debuffs before collective can steal them. Its the same issue with enhanced Onslaught. If you kill an enemy with a void grenade it instantly gives you x3 onslaught.
I’ve gone in the back of the enclave so many times and made someone laugh every time, it’s too funny, especially when you can’t get out
The Cabal drops hip explodes into a middle finger after you finish the public event and stand directly underneath it and look up. Pretty funny!

What's happening with the rader is because the UI is curved slightly, the radar also gets "curved". That's why it's elongated towards the corner of the screen

I like using the spiderman pointing emote combo as long as the second emote doesnt have any light props (most dances) the clone will copy exactly. Also the petting cat emote that was recently in the brightdust store will continue to make noises if you do another emote and it disappears
The final shape is once again here: pushing raid boss off the map.
Cayde's favorite dance + sweeping emote = best combo
Superblack is weird on some things like ships. It ironically isn't the blackest shader for the ship Black Peregrine. So far I think its Skele-Ghaul that makes it darkest.
The Enclave has a large area you can explore after skating back there. Hug the left wall on the way out, keep circling, trial and error after. Area is bigger than Midtown. Make sure you have an uncrafted sword with eager edge so you can blade ammo glitch.
following your myth about the standing on the turrets, you can do the same with the blights that you shoot the middle of and you don't take damage from the blight
if you do the hatchling huddle and then the basketball emote you throw your hatchlings away
14:33 ah I remember hearing about why cloth in video games does this. It also happens in games like Dark Souls. Iirc it has something to do with saving resources when the player isn't looking. When the player looks back, the cloth is loaded back in and freaks out a little bit because of clipping.

In the enclave spot you can also continue around the rock on the left and explore even further out of bounds. I even ended up under the area where you first spawn in.
A little addition to the "Mithrax Cloak" bit- the same thing happens during the initial Final Shape story playthrough with Cayde and Crow, when you're in the interim location before you start the mission to find Ikora. The faster you turn back to the 2 Hunters, the more aggressively their capes flap.
It happens with every npc cloak to exist since D1
My guy, there is SO many random holes to get out of the map. I’ve been inside the forges in EDZ since the sunset, and if you shoot the symbols with the weapons corresponding with that season, it makes a noise :)
I've got one. A warlock will always lose a melee fight if it has celestial fire equipped. The damage doesn't work fast enough to outright win the duel

My favorite dribble combo is the fallen baby emot where you hold 3 of em but you only throw 1

Just a little note:
Malfeasance can do massive damage through shields but only if the bullet counts as having connected with the target-- the arcstrider took no damage because they technically blocked the bullets, but if they were shot normally and only blocked when the explosion occured they would take the full damage because the explosion does not need any sort of line-of-sight or raytracing connection.
Not sure if I remember correctly but it may also be possible to explode a phalanx by only shooting the crit spot on its shield and never its actual body.

So you are saying exactly what he tested xD If the bullets doesnt hit there will be no explosion. So therefore the myth is busted. If you hit a person x2 times before that it still wont explode because it requires more than 2 shots to hit before the explosions goes off.
@@inceneration didnt want to argue about this but:
if you're familiar with malfeasance, it takes a second or two for the explosion to fully trigger (it is not instantaneous) ~ so if you shot the arcstrider enough times to trigger the explosion but they reflect while it is happening, they will still take the damage because the source is localized and not directly counted as an attack from a gun.
Exmaple: you can get mowed down by an arcstrider in comp BUT if you hit all of your shots first, you'll get a postmortem kill on said arcstrider even if they are blocking because the malfeseance explosion is its own entity.
This works similarly to how you can be killed by a rocket that was shot by a guardian after said guardian is no longer alive, or how people can get kills as an invader in gambit even after being returned ot their team's field.
Anecdotally, I think the Ophidian's Aspect melee range procs the lunging melee more often
The firing range one I found by accident, I was using it to show my buddy how to shatter skate, and managed to make it there and realized I was stuck as dying respawned me there
Ive known about the enclave glitch for a while you can always go completely under the map near spawn its interesting to explore.
I love the menagerie. I still pray that one day the prison of elders will return.

I've heard that warlock melee faster if you hop, melee in air, then melee immediately after landing.
14:27 Almost all cloaks do this since Final Shape. I believe mostly in the Pale Heart, though. Try playing with a Hunter and, if you can get them to stand still long enough, do the same as you did with Mithrax in the video.
It’s a bug with the pc version of destiny 2 it’s been around since the pc beta
the radar is circular, it and other hud elements are pushed outward to make it look like its your helmet's interface

The radar *is* a circle. Its just because of the visual effect of the hud on how all hud elements are skewed to point towards the center.

The Melee myth stems from the fact that in D1 all the melee's were different for each class. In D2 they nerfed the Warlock and brought everyone else to the same line.

They made it harder now. It's still possible but his behavior has changed after the dlc dropped. I've done over 1100 pushes and definitely find it rough now.
They took Melee Range off Ophidian Aspect back in Witch Queen, but they didnt take the visiual text away. It was a part of that HUGE Nerf TWAB a Season or two before Lightfall, to make all non-charge melees the same across all classes. But I swear, Warlocks have the weakest and most inaccurate still lol
A nightmare or resonant subclass needs to be our third and last dark subclass
The Cape thing works on anyone with a Cape. That helped me from getting bored during crow and cayde dialoge

@muzikgod its not that titan was left untouched. Pretty much all other neutral melee extensions were removed including the one on synthoceps but knockout specifically still has it. I think it has something to do with knockout being a VERY specific trigger state of an enemy being low health where most other ones were basically just given to you for free. Its still annoying to fight but you rarely run into arc titans in crucible now adays and prismatic titans are too busy crying that the class sucks to actually learn how to play it well and dominate with it.

Superblack isn't notable for being the darkest black it's because it is all black instead of having other colors in its palette.
stompees got nerfed with something to do with dodge if i remember correctly, seems like they removed that and added the airborn stuff to the desc of it so basically functions as it did before it got nerfed which is good because the nerf was stupid.
Crow isn’t in Cayde’s old spot. That’s Amanda’s old spot, Cayde’s is the one to the right of that

The perk is still shadowbanned in pvp right now. I can't confirm if its everyone but I know me and a few other people can use it in pve but when we go into crucible or gambit it just straight up doesn't activate. No notes on it in known issues in any twab or bungie mentioning disabling it for any reason in the blogposts. It can't be because people are using it to move faster than intended with relics because it would be disabled in pve if that were the case considering you only get them in crucible well.... in the relic gamemode which is RARELY avaliable

Quick question about ophidian aspect. Is the melee range supposed to apply to any melee, or could it just be for ranged melees such as the fireball or stasis orb things?
the ophidian aspect not improving melee range, was because they nerfed it(because of PVP, go figure), and i guess just forgot to remove that part of the text
