That blue GT has a sticker higher than my '19 Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie Crew Cab Cummins diesel! And mine has all the goodies too like 12" screen and all the typical nice stuff. So how is this non TRX 1500 so damn expensive? I'd rather have the Cummins.
Ram knows what you guys do with the loaner vehicles and also knows you sell hundreds of trimmed out trucks for them, they better be understanding about it. I bought a Ram based largely on content of yours I really enjoyed and appreciated.
On tomorrows TFLNow: Ram, we are sorry for the damage we did to the truck. We want to bury the hatchet before you come stealing back the vehicles from our property. It was an accident and we want to continue to drive/test your vehicles, as our viewers really like them. ;)
Your conclusion at the end is perfect! An Outback would be perfect for someone like me. I have an ‘18 Rebel, that I love, but I find myself constantly saying, “I don’t need this much truck.”
Your Tremor also has Thorsen limited slip in the front, It doesn't sound as cool but locking rear and limited slip in front in my humble opinion is best all round off road set up.
I’m torn between these two choices myself, I’m really a Ram guy at heart and wasn’t considering Ford but the Tremor is a beautiful trim, just a stunning truck. Though both are more than I can bring myself to spend just yet 😅
Great video AS ALWAYS!!!! I (as many have already stated) am hopeful that Ram does not take any negative action towards you folks. You do help these manufacturers sell vehicles and I am no exception as I bought my 2021 LT Trail Boss because of your ownership and reviews of your Trail Boss. No problems since purchase last May and I am very happy with my purchase ONLY because of TFL's detailed, HONEST, REAL WORLD reviews. Keep up the great work TFL.
I've got a '21 Tradesman with the ORP, exact same suspension/32" tires/4x4 setup as the Backcountry but cost much less. I do agree with others, the aero package on the front is useless offroad and at least its only a couple bolts to pop off. I don't know many people that would want to take a $70k truck offroad when the base models with minor upgrades (remove aero and put 33/34's) will take them all the exact places...
This was a great video, nice to see you testing the other trucks in the line up. We all love the TRXs and the Raptors of the world, but nice to see testing on the lower trim level trucks. That Rebel GT sounds amazing. Both very cool trucks, but the GT takes my vote, however that air suspension I am sure will be a maintenance headache down the road.
Perfect timing, I just saw one of those new G/T Rebels today and was confused by the badging. Now it makes sense why it said G/T on the side. Now if only you could actually find these trucks anywhere. I had to settle for a Bighorn without the offroad package because not a single dealer I talked to could get one. They said I'd have to go up to a Laramie or Rebel :P
Great video! 👍 I vote for the 1989 Dodge Power Ram 50. I had one with a brush guard, fog lites, driving lites, roll bar with lites, limited slip differentials and a 4 in custom lift with 31” tires. I drove that truck everywhere and some places it probably should have never gone.
I'm pretty sure RAM won't be too bothered by the damages. This kind of video is what gets people excited about their product. It's free publicity. Plus, you guys pretty much sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Rebel G/Ts just with this video. If I was a RAM, i'd quote Ricky Gervais' Derek: "You okay?...Don't worry about it, then..."
Had a 2017 rebel but wanted the boxes, etorque, 12" screen, and the split tailgate. Found the rebel with everything I wanted in a 2020 for $50K. Even better, I owed $17K on the 17, and they have me $34K as a trade in. 2yrs now and 35K miles later it's been a great truck.
I was wondering why they put music in when they admitted the sound of that GT was incredible. It does no good to have music when one is praising the sound of the vehicle.
Great Video guys, I own a non GT 2021 Rebel with Borla Atak exhaust, IMO it sounds better then the MOPAR exhaust. Hope you guys do more off roading with the new Rebel.
I thought Andre was moving at first. Roman killed it, although the rock was moved. I’d rather the truck that’s $16k cheaper though. You guys also had different tires, which can make a huge difference. Hopefully Dodge isn’t too rough on you guys about the damage. That definitely wasn’t being reckless or the sort. Stuff happens...
First. Love your channels. However the air suspension wasn’t helping with ground clearance. When you went that fast. It automatically lowers the ride height(can even see it in the video). However, FYI if you want to keep the maximum ride height. You can pull the fuse to disable the air. Then it will stay in whatever setting it was in last. ( you will get a warning on the dash though saying air suspension needs service)
Don't worry Anrey, it's fixable. I'm sure RAM makes heaps of sales because of TFL. Offer to fix it and see if they say not to worry we'll take care of it.
Power Wagon is the best Ram off road, the best of any badge. Had a Raptor, buddy has a TRX...all good until doing something practical, imo. Wouldn't trade in the elk/deer field, for sure.
It would have been nice to see the TRX run that too. Just for fun. You better hope RAM doesn't pull a Subaru and take back their trucks. The GT exhaust sounds better than a TRX. I would love to see all 3 offered in regular cab short bed for less money.
This was a fun video....it was a Hoot to watch, it was really fun. too bad about the bumper rub....but like i heard in a movie once...."Rubbin is Racing.".....
I have a Back Country, it has skid plates a locking rear diff I modified it with a high flow Exaust. It cost 20 grand less than a Rebel has off road suspension but if I wanted to plow rocks it would need a steel off road bumper. No sun roof but cost mid 50 grand not mid 70
I can’t help but think that if Tommy was there to supervise the kids that the damage wouldn’t have happened. But then it wouldn’t have resulted in as great of a video! Speed and power!
I bought my ram 2500 Laramie diesel on because of tow ratings from TFL trucks and Truck King, they are the only ones showing true facts and fun content
Off road mode on air is great, but too bad, it lowers back to normal mode after 25mph , you see it after 10 seconds. 10:20 Great video though, have a 22 Rebel sitting in my driveway thanks to your awesome coverage and comparison of the models.
The intake picks up cold air in the lower part of grill. So with a closed cold air intake your not picking up hot air from headers and motor. You need to plan before you buy I bought a club cab to reduce weight. The truck is fast on street and capable off road. I have owned off road ram trucks since the first in 2001
Good God, that G/T run looked and sounded fun as hell!! Ram, if you’re reading this, that damage is nothing, this video will without a doubt sell G/Ts for you. Edit- I just noticed Roman lost his off-road ride height, he was going so fast there off the launch that it kicked him out of off-road 😂
Congratulations, you now own a Ram bighorn backcountry. Honestly, hopefully Ram is cool with it. Just think, normal people will do this on trails with them, and it is good to see that there is a risk when it is not modified.
Love the videos and that rebel sounds nice. Im a huge fan of nice sounding exhausts. Especially since a lot of places are ditching gas engines, that sound will be more enjoyable as time goes on and gas cars are more and more scarce.
You can really hear that performance exhaust on the Ram Rebel GT. I had headphones on and it was night and day. What happens in that scenario when damage is done to a loaner? Do you fix it or manufacturer ?
It seems that the exhaust in the G/T package is the MOPAR cat back exhaust. With that, can you talk about what it’s like driving with the exhaust around town, the freeway, etc??
I have a 2019 Laramie 4x4 great truck, but I dont like is how low that front bumper/damper is. A leveling kit should help but the manufacturers should have the 4x4 trims leveled. I know it's for fuel economy but I'd rather suffer from lower MPGs then front end damage.
I have not done the research, but I think the TRX has completely different suspension. Modified frame, longer travel suspension. A normal aspirated engine with the modified suspension would be a nice choice. 700hp not needed for me.
I absolutely love everything about Ram.. Everything except the build quality. They are always breaking down and in the shop. I really wanted a Ram truck, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a money pit. Which is why I bought a 2008 Tundra. Even though it already has 177k miles, I am confident it will be more reliable than even a new Ram truck.
I broke off that aero thing on my 2021 Laramie longhorn in a parking lot in Boston rolling over a snow pile. That thing is too low for anything….even parking lot snow. Come on ram!
If it was the same price and had the 392 v8 then we'd be talkin. Jeep is using it in 3/4 vehicles so why doesn't Ram have it specifically for this package. The sweet spot between the regular 1500's and the TRX.
Awesome video. Sorry you had damage. I hope ram realizes how many people appreciate them letting you use their trucks. Thank you ram. We love TFL
Agree, thanks RAM.
That's there truck the blue one is a loaner
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS Actually the red one is a long term 2-3 month tester from Ram they own the Silver 2500 HD
Just bought my 2nd Ram 1500. This time with the back country package. Shoykd be here in 7ish weeks. Thx guys
That Ram GT sounds amazing with the Mopar exhaus!! Thanks for the content.
It was an accident and we want to continue to drive/test your vehicles, as our viewers really like them. ;)
No way Ram throws a big fit over the damage. My family has bought 4 Ram trucks in the last 3 years because of this channel.
I hope Ram understands that these types of videos get people excited about trucks, the bumper and aero dam they lost may be worth it.
I started laughing once I realized how much faster Roman was going in the GT off the line. The cow running away says it all
The blue truck sounds really good
The sound of the blue GT is phenomenal!
Your conclusion at the end is perfect! An Outback would be perfect for someone like me. I have an ‘18 Rebel, that I love, but I find myself constantly saying, “I don’t need this much truck.”
If that Rebel G/T was around when I got my F150 Tremor I would definitely have considered it!
What about power wagon?
@@MS-mr4zm I got the mid level 401a Tremor so the Power Wagon would probably be over budget. (the Tremor was already over original budget!)
Love the cows running from the GT at 10:14!
Should be getting my Rebel GT in the next week or two. I can’t wait!!
When you market a truck with an off road package that has a chin spoiler that gets ripped off on a 4 inch rock something isn't right.
Good thing it wasn't the Toyota tundra the whole front end would be laying on the ground !
@@Z22-m5o hahaha so true
Heck yeah !! Full send Roman! That was fun to watch. Tks guys

But, at least I can add skid plates, tow hooks, and a locker myself, so I'll eventually have most of the offroad package
The Backcountry seems reminiscent of the 12th gen F150 FX4, very cool to have a mid tier offroad package again!
That GT sounds niiiice!!!!! Maybe not TRX good but better than any turbo V6
I'm pretty sure RAM won't be too bothered by the damages. This kind of video is what gets people excited about their product. It's free publicity. Plus, you guys pretty much sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Rebel G/Ts just with this video.

Agree. RAM 1500 purchased last year based almost entirely on the content of this channel. Incredible trucks ✌️
Nothing like the sound of a good piped American V8!!!!
First. Love your channels.

I just bought the rebel with ever bell and whistle I am in love!
Just ordered my backcountry 1500 etorqe, can’t wait for it to show up. Got it with the air suspension too lol
For 72,000 they should give you the 6.4 with the g/t
The 6.4l V8 SRT engine would be super!
I would love to see a 0-60 and multiple races vs other trucks with the RAM REBEL GT!
That Rebel GT sounds unbelievable. I was blown away.
Don't worry Anrey, it's fixable. I'm sure RAM makes heaps of sales because of TFL. Offer to fix it and see if they say not to worry we'll take care of it.

Ram GT sounds beautiful 😻 good video Sorry for the damage
Man is that a V8 on that GT? That sounds great. I don’t think Ram cares that much about that small dent. I’m getting one of those Ram GT’s!

Mopar.. take my money! That Mopar exhaust sounds phenomenal! Definitely need it for my ‘21 Limited
The running puns are like a gift that keeps on giving! lmao
That exhaust note on the Rebel. 😍
All the play on words was hilarious and that ram did sound wicked!

The cattle freaked out with the Rebel run
The cows running for their life as Roman goes flying down the hill. 😂

Exhaust sounds nice on the blue one
Yeah I like that GT… that color is awesome too… thanks guys…
"Nathan's crack has a rock " 🤣
That was awesome. Sounds great.
The GT sounds amazing 🤩
Hey Roman let’s see the new Ram 2500 on that course you just purchased. Thanks for the video, let Nathan drive it with the stock tires on it.
I’m watching this in the Subaru fleet office {only joking} .Great videos you’re making in the snow keep em coming.
Sounds like they nailed the exhaust note on the GT. As of this date 14Dec2022 low mileage TRX's are in the low $70's though. Just saying.
You can really hear that performance exhaust on the Ram Rebel GT. I had headphones on and it was night and day.

make Andre pay for it Roman , the only spot he had to slow down but he sped over it..lmao..great job Roman and I'm loving that GT
Get to work Ram King. So you can buy a GT. 😄😄. If I were to trade in my Longhorn it would be the GT. Love it.

You should have brought and ran the TRX as well since you’re claiming to have something better than it for comparison.
The "Nathan's Crack" sign just cracked me up.... LOL
Now do the same on the TRX! I bet that TRX would kill it!
Hell yeah!!!!!! You guys are wild
So how much time could you shave off if you optioned in air suspension with the back country package?
The exhuast on the blue one sounds great, prefer the front end on the back country. Never really liked the black plastic look on the Rebel.
I wasn't sure about all these silly names, but "I hit my nose in Nathan's crack" proved it was the right choice
I watched the commercials all the way through to do my part and help 😂 great video though!
Thanks
Great vid guys.
I have not done the research, but I think the TRX has completely different suspension. Modified frame, longer travel suspension. A normal aspirated engine with the modified suspension would be a nice choice. 700hp not needed for me.
I completely agree! I’d love a TRX with a 6.4 and save some up front cash and fuel economy.
How does the Rebel GT compare to a Limited with the off road package? The sound is impressive for sure.
I absolutely love everything about Ram.. Everything except the build quality. They are always breaking down and in the shop. I really wanted a Ram truck, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a money pit.

Truck is lighter now who needs that plastic crap. Andre still the man don't worry brother.
The Back Country has off road pages as well, but nothing will help when you hit a rock.
