#RaptorvsTRX #Snow #FullSend - Авто та транспорт
Long wheelbase, heavy, decent tires and more than enough power. Both did well just as you'd expect. I drive my raptor here in the mountains where we regularly get 2+ feet of snow overnight, sometimes more. Can confirm it's awesome just as I'm sure the TRX would be!
Both are badass and will do 99% of stuff you want.
I appreciate people like your self who give comments in the positive knowledgeable tone as apposed to just bashing on something because it’s not their personal favorite brand. It’s a fresh change and I like it lol
@@Bosha92 uhh not jumps please don't give them ideas lol but most regular stuff yea
Hey I live in Mammoth Lakes and I've lost count how much we have had this year and in 2022. What setup do you have on the Raptor and do you use studded tires?
@@paulthomson1434 I'm in Tahoe, we've been having a hell of a winter so far. Love powder days but I'm about sick of clearing my driveway every day, lol! Aside from bumper, lights and retrax cover my raptor is stock. The regular KO2s do just fine for us, but our roads are almost always plowed by sun up. Have tested in normal snow driving and also pulling tourist out of the berm, works great!
Dang Tommy you Grandma 👵! Just floor it!! 😂
I’d love to see how your bronco does in that same challenge vs Tommy’s jeep
It would be cool if they could do a proper match up of the top 4 chosen off road vehicles in these conditions WITH chains on, to exhibit traction with vehicle capabilities. But don't hold your breath for that content to ever come. ;)
Why Tommy’s Jeep rather a 392
@@josemata3845 Why the 392?.. Tommy's Wrangler is a better match to compare to current Bronco.. That or a Rubicon
@@shitloveaduck actually the limited slip would have an advantage in the snow vs lockers...because of the whole crab walking issue
@@shitloveaduck what ? You would have to compare rubicon to the top level of bronco
Full throttle or half throttle, the key to keeping forward momentum in deep snow is to never let off. I think a more reserved but very persistent throttle input is the best way to go. Full throttle is a lot of fun though lol
Mud, silt, and deep snow you never want to slow down.
yeah, sometimes less is more in snow
Use only as much throttle as you need without spinning the tires. Any idiot should know this but bozos will not.
Roman, you have the biggest smile on your face every time you drive that Beast! Have fun!
Love this dad-son interactive competition and this incredible video content…great work folks!
That was a blast! Thanks for sharing with those of us who can't afford to buy a TRX, Raptor, or the gas to fill them.
Are you broke? 😂
Yahh I made 140k this year and I'm broke ..this economy is killing me .. California is so expensive
@@christopheranderson1162 the last part of your sentence is your problem lmao
@@kg0311 yahh I know..my brother lives in Louisiana and it's literally so much cheaper there
I've watched many great videos on tfl. This video was perfect and is my new favorite. You guys are fun and funny. Thanks for doing this video, all of you. The camera work and editing were stellar and the snow was beautiful. Great great video.
Come on tommy, how you not like flooring it? Looks amazingly fun
Well, his place is between Peugeots and practical crossovers
Right? Come on Tommy thats the best part of your job!!
Your dad was pretty funny
One of the best offroad videos hands down. Love snow wheeling!
Fun video to watch, the father son banter is hilarious.
Always love how the younger Tommy is more careful.
Most fun video to watch thus far from you guys. This channel is really hitting its stride. Congrats on all your success.
Thanks for posting such good content while having a lot of fun! Fun is underrated.
You guys have some of the most fun jobs. Great video, really fun to watch.
Love it! These are my favorite videos! Glad you are able to do those things with your son it’s a blessing.
Great video! This looks like an absolute blast, and I also love the visuals here, these red trucks really pop against this snowy background.
TFL videos are always so well produced! Keep up the great work 😁
This looks like a LOT of fun! I'm in the Metro Vancouver area (i.e. in West Coast of Canada that is just north of Washington State) and we have got similar snow to this when we drive up into the mountains. I am actually surprised at just how WELL BOTH TRUCKS DID in this deep stuff! Two full size pickup trucks going at it decently well shows JUST HOW FAR WE HAVE COME in automotive technology!
Normally, this is stuff you only take a Polaris Razr or a Can-Am X3r into and NOT a 5000+ lbs pickup truck!
I AM VERY VERY VERY IMPRESSED with this video (Good Job FTL!) and I am also very very impressed impressed with the TRX and Raptor!
I WANT BOTH TRUCKS !!!
V
That TRX sounds 🔥
The supercharger & exhaust note great together.
This was an awesome comparo! Beautifully shot! Looks amazing with the snow in the trees. And most of all, y’all had a blast and it was fun to watch and live vicariously!
Great review! I've owned 2 F150 Raptors in last 8yrs & they are awesome. Can't beat em.
This video was probably one of the most genuine I’ve seen from you guys. Just all smiles and lots of gas
I think off-roader vehicles should have an on-road snow mode and an off-road snow mode because the normal snow mode assumes you're trying to get somewhere on road despite the snow, so it severely limits the amount of spin you can have. Honestly, I've found sand mode to be the best option to have fun in the snow.
In my raptor I run it in Baja mode 4H rear diff locked when running in snow covered fields/offroad- on road 4A normal if just a little bit snow, “slippery” mode 4a, then 4h if real slick/packed & sometimes it’s good to take the TC off & you can take the stability control off too if you really need to send it. When it’s heavy deep snow I feel
Like it’s better to run in 4H all Nannie’s off in regular mode or sport or baja
My tacoma only let's you access the drive modes in 4 wheel low.
Love those kinds of videos, awesome trucks through the snow. Love the sound of the TRX supercharger. Those are the kind of videos I live for also Micah Dad.
Great job Roman
What’s more amazing than the trucks is a father and son having so much fun together. Great job!
In my snow wheeling experience, I've found mud terrain tires do best to not become snow sliding on snow. They shed the chunks of compacted snow/ice better than a standard AT tire.
Tommy whenever you want to retire Snow wheeling, I'm classically trained in snow wheeling. It's my favorite kind of offroad.. You did great by the way.. Thanks for all hard work
Great video! You guys are living the dream.
Love this video TFL truck guys. You guys need too do more snow videos with your trucks especially with the new Raptor. I bought a second generation 2019 Raptor two years ago and would love too see you guys do more in the 3rd generation just too get more pointers 👍.
What a Great life Roman & Tommy have getting to work together & thrash 4x4's. 👍
You guys are living the dream! Keep up the great work and thanks.
I love the red against the white snow!
Gotta love both these trucks. Nice video, nice snow!!
This is what the Raptor and TRX videos should be. Way too many videos out there with the TRX doing straight line racing on pavement. Yes the TRX is way more powerful but it seems the Raptor when it comes to off-road is the superior baja truck. Like 95% of the people commenting I haven’t driven either so I’m going by what I see on off road videos.
You mean the raptor throwing drivertrain errors up the hill and needing a cold start to clear them? That does not sound like a very solid offroader big tires or not.
@@nielsdebakker3283 yeah your right. That was a major problem that took major work to fix. Sure it had nothing to do with the driver. But the 3 wheel spinning TRX is a true off-roader right?
@@bobdennis4801 I just think of them as expensive toys. That goes more or less for the whole "truck" concept.
The Raptor was not superior to the Ram in this real-world setting.
@@bobdennis4801 i think they mentioned they had there diffs open
This was a VERY entertaining video! Thanks! We are all living through TFL.
That looked like a ton of fun nothing like wheeling in the snow. Especially when you have a ton of horsepower.
I also love snowweeling. Thats why i always run studded wintertires in the snow. Great vid 👍👍👍👍👍
Testing an off-road truck offroad. Amazing, good job
Love these videos, seeing what these vehicles can do is awesome
This was amazing . More of this
Don’t stop grinding gentleman ! You guys are doing great, I’ve been a fan for years.
That was awesome gents! Keep up the great content🤙🏽
beautiful landscape there, and love the competition between the Ford & Ram, and as always, the snow makes it more fun
Great video, enjoyed the ride along. 👍🏻 👍🏻
How fun! I was smiling through this entire video because it was such a blast.
I envy you. A day out with your dad in the 2 most bad ass trucks on the market tearing up that snow. I wish I had memories like that with my dad. Great video
That looked like so much fun, thanks guy's
Such an EPIC channel!!!! LOVE it guys, thanks.
Thanks guys, beautiful video.
Mainer/ new Englander here! Love driving in snowy conditions
“All that whining I did for nothing.” - Tommy
Theme song of the channel?? 😂
Awesome video!! Love it when you too go off roading!
You guys have the best job of all time !!!! Awsome
Watching these two make truck videos together is really cool. Might be the best truck review team on the internet!
Awesome video 😎 thank you guys 🙌🏼👍🏼
Love both! But have to admit the Raptor sounds pretty darn good and even though has less hp, still has plenty and costs less! I'm going with Raptor!
It only costs like $7k less tho. When you already spending 60k plus in a truck, might as well spend a little more to get 250 more hp. I love the raptor, and I always wanted one since it came out, but I just love the hellcat motor more
@@karanpatel7815 Been shopping for both. On paper maybe 7k, at every dealer ur gonna spend about 20k more for a TRX. Also, I have an SRT Durango, they're waaaay too thirsty
The build quality on the trx will be way worth it, way better then the raptor.
@@fireant1272 I don't own either so I can't say. Raptor been out for a decade so I image ford worked out almost the issues with out. On the other hand, the trx has a better and more reliable engine. Until I see a trx with 200k miles on it, I'd say the raptor is probably better long term. But then again, the raptor had a mechanical issue in this video while the trx didn'
@@fireant1272 They will both be fine. I had a 1st gen Raptor for years and 0 issues...
I love playing in the snow sliding everywhere. I go out almost every time it snows after dinner.
Woahh the v6 sounds so pretty. I really do like this engine.
Great video and awesome trucks, i alway wanted to see the torsen front differential work compared e to the open differential in the TRX and i was able to see the diference in this Video that showed the Ram with only one of the front tires spinning and the Raptor alleys spooned both!!
Thank you so much for your awesome content
True, but in this setting it also showed that the Ram has better traction management systems as well.
showed me the Ram TRX is a much cooler better sounding truck that did great on smaller tires
Love the raptor but I just can't get over the sound. Great video.
Love the intro on this one!! Epic and hilarious "Oh stop whining and just floor it!!"
best truck vids being made today period
Living in the northeast I have spend decades snow wheeling, and you guys need some pointers, lol
1st) Minimum air down to 15 psi or less. (I could tell you barely let any air out and just did that for the cameras)
2nd) You want a slow momentum but not wheel spin, especially if there is ice underneath. You get more traction when you compact snow on ice , then just rubber on ice.
Snow wheeling can be the most fun off roading you have, or if done wrong the worst time ever.
That’s awesome. We get a lot of snow in Alberta and I NEED a raptor!
I live in Edmonton… and own a raptor lol
That made me wish I had one of those trucks and a snow covered mountain.
Best video so far I’m so jealous lucky to be you guys 👍🏾
Watching this from Central Thailand with my Ranger Raptor sitting in my driveway wishing I had this climate to bomb my truck around in. Keep up the great content fellas!
Loving the sound of the Raptor
sounded like it was stressed out and going to die vs the amazing TRX sound
On the Raptor ignore the modes, put it in 4H, Lock the Rear Diff, maybe Sport Mode and you will have no issues at all.
Tommy you just need more seat time in the snow.
Idk if I like the trucks more, or the father - son relationship, Tommy and Roman have. Or maybe the combination of both. Love your content, Best regards.
I love that area in the snow,I was there about an hour after you guys, sorry I missed you. I took my nissan altima out and had such a good time in the snow.
One of my fav. TLF vids!
Loving this video! So much fun, show him how to do it Roman
Both trucks are simply amazing 👏
Really enjoyed this one 👌🏻
I had a big smile just watching you guys! Both trucks are sweet but I do like the Wrangler Territory tires a bit better in snow. I still believe that overall the Raptor is my favorite.
Great video enjoyed it very much
Awesome video guys !!!
Raptor went from sounding like a sewing machine to sounding like a Lamborghini
Having a lot of fun lately :)
So much fun. GREAT VID!!!!
Tommy you did just fine. I grew up in the snow belt and love wheeling in the snow. I’m not so good at rock crawling. Not my bag.
Awesome video guys. 👏
That was awesome!!! Two great trucks!!
Very fun video! As a dad myself, seeing you guys having all this fun warms the ol heart. The TRX seems to still be the super truck to beat though. The Raptor didn't match it yet.....perhaps 4th gen
How does it not match it? The Raptor R comes out later this year which will have more power than the TRX. But power aside, the Raptor is a step ahead of the TRX.
@@Stuka87 Nope!!!!
I am sorry but the TRX does not beat the 3rd Gen Raptor overall. The 2nd Gen Raptor itself still gave the TRX a run for it's money as is, the 3rd Gen just outright beats it in every category there is for a truck.
@@raionshishi8290 NOPE!!!
@@Stuka87 a trx had way less power than a chelby f150 and still beat it in a drag race. I don't think the raptor r is gonna do much
Great video! Fun times with father and son.
That opening looked like a riot. Wish I had snow here.
great video watching you two have fun
I love snow wheeling too! You should get the JL and the Bronco out there!
Best this about snow wheeling is how clean your truck is when your done.
Roman was loving it! Cool video!
That TRX is such a beast!
See if you guys can get on the list for the raptor R with the v8 🤔
Great video on both especially different tires.
Lookin Foward to see the new Chevy Silverado ZR2 in the Snow ❄️
Snow wheeling is the ultimate rush on wheels. ( While driving ). 👍
Fun times 😂.
how can you hate snow wheeling its the greatest! one of our best videos is from Snow wheeling!
The stop whinning an start wheeling best line haha
This is great content
The key to snow wheeling is speed and redline. Ussually there are multiple layers of snow. Bottom layers are hard. You can float over the hard layers with wheelspin and speed. You stop and puncture the the hardlayer you are done. My half ton single cab 5.0 f150 ways 4400 pounds with me in it and is awesome in snow. 33s km2s and i was in 2.5/3ft of fluffy snow. Redline and selecting manual 1st/2nd gear is key
That looked awesome. The whole time I was watching I was yelling, “Let Her Eat!!! Let Her Eat!!!”
