I decided to buy a 20’ Raptor over a TRX. I can’t do the 300 mile range, the 10 MPG’s, the tiny shocks, the 1k extra lbs of steel, the lack of a quality front differential or the compensating you must do to drive a dodge pickup. I put significant miles on my Raptor that would be really expensive to do in a TRX.

I wish ram differentiated the two a little more and let the trx have its own fully unique design the way the raptor looks nothing like any other f150. I still prefer the trx just cause of the power.
You can tow a lot more if you have brakes on the trailer and a weight distributing hitch. And the payload can be exeeded fairly easily as long as you still have some suspension travel on the rear, but you will have to go slower and have more tact with the steering.

The falcon tires, mud edition actually were great in snow, so I’m a little worried living here in Summit county, how these wranglers will do in snow that came on the rebel. That’s what you say until you realize that the rebel is closer to 40k with incentives and the trx will have little to none, if anything it’ll probably have mark ups. You’re more likely talking 75k vs 40k in the real world.
I love ❤️ the TRX 💪 there is no substitute for cubic inches 💪 finally RAM has a real off road truck to rip and tear the raptor apart 😃😃😃👍 thanks guys for bringing us these great videos 👍 keep up the good work guys
Who is stupid enough to pay $91k... more like $100k after taxes and fees for a half ton truck? My guess is probably too many people. Keep in mind that the average household income is only about $50k, if that. C’mon people, it’s a truck, not a house. I do decently well for myself and would still never buy this. Two years ago, I bought a nice 3 year old Mercedes ML350 suv, 32k miles, still under warranty, perfect condition, and paid $29k. It’s paid for too. That’s why I have money in the bank. Enjoy your $90k debt machine..
Actually if they were going for a “scat pack” style ram I would imagine it would have the engine of the trx with out the wide body lol. The whole scat pack line is more aimed toward budget friendly performance.
The rock rail can take half the vehicle's weight because if you're resting on one rail, you're probably resting on the other rail as well. Two rails, two halves of the vehicle's weight...the rails together can support the whole vehicle. I can't think of a way to place the whole truck's weight on one rail alone.
Nice job guys, Tommy was off the charts funny today thank you Andre and Alex for making sure he had his snack before. Blaze is cute as always. If I had the money I would get the TRX and get a supercharger on it and have fun until I broke it in the desert.
The 2021 Rebel also has the front facing camera, heads up display, and more. I think it has everything now? Except the ventilated seats which is a real shame...
Hmmm, some people spend more than $35k modifying their truck so why not offer it all up with a factory warranty and financing? It’s definitely an option. I’d probably still go for the Rebel though because I’d most likely haul and tow more than jump. 😁
10:13 this connector will stop transmitting a signal after several times on puddles or after one winter! saint as the ice freezes on him and breaks the contact You will forget that they are active shock absorbers
You could get a badass suspension system on the Rebel 5.7L from BDS or IVD and get 85% of the performance the TRX. The Hellcat motor would run $15k + installation. You wouldn't have the beefy frame and axles. I'd go with the TRX.
For me the choice was easy. I wanted the biggest and baddest truck on the market. Also, I did not want to be driving a Rebel and wishing I was in a TRX. However, both are great trucks.
I'd choose the TRX, nothing against the rebel but the TRX is better with everything besides towing and cost and I personally have a heavy duty diesel so don't need it for towing
Sorry Andre. I'll have to agree with Tommy on this. Good video Alex. Not many people willing to get speeding tickets nor use Baja mode on highway to work or grocery. Well I’d get the $72k TRX not the $91k one, and I’d definitely buy a TRX before I’d waste $57k on only a Rebel.
That’s what you say until you realize that the rebel is closer to 40k with incentives and the trx will have little to none, if anything it’ll probably have mark ups. You’re more likely talking 75k vs 40k in the real world.
@@theprodegypk I still wouldn’t waste $45k on a Rebel. I also wouldn’t pay MSRP for the TRX so the point is moot.
@@josephwhiskeybeale good luck finding TRX at lower than MSRP.
@@theprodegypk not with thoes options. You can maybe get a V6 with no option closer to 40k.
@@koston777 lol don’t worry about it, it’s all about relationships and I have some great ones with Ram 😂😂😂😅
You will get over the 0 to 60 in like 20 tries and then you can worry about the money you washed down the drain. Rebel for life
What are you talking about? That is the 1 thing any car/truck guy never gets over... Enjoy both but don’t live in denial my man
I want that monster roll bar/double spare tire mount that was in the concept truck bed.
I love ❤️ the TRX 💪 there is no substitute for cubic inches 💪 finally RAM has a real off road truck to rip and tear the raptor apart 😃😃😃👍 thanks guys for bringing us these great videos 👍 keep up the good work guys
This thing is hilarious 1 mile a gallon off road and 9 on. I love it!
Hummer stats
Our 2021 Rebel Diesel has surround camera that includes a front-facing camera.
I knew it!
All this time, my eyes were required to act as the front facing cameras. smh 🤦🏼♂️
@@motorcyclemichael2182 its for navigating over obstacles without a spotter.
I hope they going to make a “Scat Pack” for the Ram with flared fenders of the TRX but with the 5.7. All Rights Reserved... 😃
Actually if they were going for a “scat pack” style ram I would imagine it would have the engine of the trx with out the wide body lol. The whole scat pack line is more aimed toward budget friendly performance.
Same body with 6.4 out of the scat pack cars
The power wagon has the 6.4L hemi in it
The truck is great but the Berner is awesome! 👌
What the payload on the Raptor? Any better?
The rock rail can take half the vehicle's weight because if you're resting on one rail, you're probably resting on the other rail as well. Two rails, two halves of the vehicle's weight...the rails together can support the whole vehicle. I can't think of a way to place the whole truck's weight on one rail alone.
Jury is still out on the TRX let street speed 717 do a creek jump if it drives home I'm a believer.
The TRx tops out at 112/118mph but my 2016 Rebel tops out at 108. Damn
Nice job guys, Tommy was off the charts funny today thank you Andre and Alex for making sure he had his snack before. Blaze is cute as always. If I had the money I would get the TRX and get a supercharger on it and have fun until I broke it in the desert.
Would them rims and tires from the trx fit a rebel. Love them wheels would love to get a pair for my rebel.
The 2021 Rebel also has the front facing camera, heads up display, and more. I think it has everything now? Except the ventilated seats which is a real shame...
Gotta give Tommy a little more credit for all of those zingers.
Hmmm, some people spend more than $35k modifying their truck so why not offer it all up with a factory warranty and financing? It’s definitely an option. I’d probably still go for the Rebel though because I’d most likely haul and tow more than jump. 😁
I'm dying for an update on the defender. Whats going on with it?
"Andrei feels at home with his hand on a knob" 😁
American jokes 🤮
@@Big.W. If you don't like "American jokes", the f#ck are you doing here watching their videos?
The Rebel also offers the surround view camera for 2021.
10:13 this connector will stop transmitting a signal after several times on puddles or after one winter! saint as the ice freezes on him and breaks the contact You will forget that they are active shock absorbers
6.2 Hemi with supercharger and wider and bigger rebel, look like Power wagon to me.
You could get a badass suspension system on the Rebel 5.7L from BDS or IVD and get 85% of the performance the TRX. The Hellcat motor would run $15k + installation. You wouldn't have the beefy frame and axles. I'd go with the TRX.
Blaze is priceless, in fact even Tommy wears the same colours as blaze 👍
Hey TFL, any info on production delays for the TRX... parts supply problems... we keep getting rumors of push backs on start of production.
You can get 2wd if you’re a communist 😂
he meant economist!
I'd get the Rebel. What's the point of having a truck that can't haul?
I think TRX is made to haul ASS.
Haul it with your duramax 😀
For me the choice was easy. I wanted the biggest and baddest truck on the market. Also, I did not want to be driving a Rebel and wishing I was in a TRX. However, both are great trucks.
Um... are you supposed to be able to move the rear shock with your hand? My trucks don't do that but idk. 10:20
Now you can order a Rebel with the surround-view camera system, and it comes with selec-speed for 2023.
YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE TRX ANYDAY, I AM PAYING 115,000 THOU FOR ONE IN CANADA
Jesus... no thanks
15:04 - "it still stands the test of time". I would hope so! It was redesigned for the 2019 model. 2019. Not 2009 like some Toyota models.
You mean 2007 like the reliable Tundra.
But still a very nice V8 truck ever made. May be FCA should consider RAM 1500 V6 hybrid for next challenge. Just may be. Blaze is soooo..cute!
I'll buy the 392 Jeep before either of these trucks. I have a 1500 Ram already which I have made into a adventure truck.
