Just what I was looking for. Working I my first Sea-Doo and glad to know the process for when to have the water on or have it off.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks dude!
Good video, little tip, don't use auto focus, set your focus and lock it. I learned this the hard way on my wedding day 🤣
All good info, but to make it more convenient, I keep a quick connect permanently installed on the flush port and a shut off valve at the end of the hose. That way, I don't have to run back and forth to the spigot.
Great tip!
I did that and mine the water will not come out the back how do I check for trouble
I do the same as you have , my ski has gone through 3 carbon seals , wearing out about every 30 hours , seadoo say I have been running it out of water to long , I all so spray water on to the shaft up in the intake grate , the engine alignment is 100%
Whats the most common place for a leak in the closed loop system?
good video I have a sea doo rxp 260 rs jet ski I have to do the same
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid. Where did you buy that short green hose adapter?
Don’t think you need it? Believe it’s just a filter
Thank you for that video!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Question, if its bad to start the engine with water going to it, why isnt it a problem to turn the ski off/on when in the water?
You cant tow a turned off jetski faster than 15 mph because water will flow from the water intake tube and go to the exhaust and flood the engine when the jetski is stationary the water will not flow to the tube and no damage can be done
@@mariopali9807 ahhh, thanks for the explanation.
Man I wish I saw this because I was an idiot and turned on the water before starting and I have no idea what that’s gonna do
Me too. Does it damage?
What it will do is fill the engine with water and the boat won't start cause it is hydrolocked. Best thing to do is bring it to the dealer so they can get all the water out and perform a "boil out" procedure to rid the moisture inside the engine and change the oil. Thanks for watching!
Doesn't all the newer seadoos have coolant? My 2017 has radiator fluid raw water is to keep exhaust temp down your exhaust manifold should have a flap in it that doesn't allow raw water into the engine unless it's running that allows it to keep the manifold cool. Maybe you could explain a little further on what you're saying? Because turning the hose on before the engine being bad that's the first I've ever heard it.
@@ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTScual es el procedimiento para sacar el agua del motor? Quitar las bujías y darle staring?
@@ROBERTSONSPOWERSPORTS thank you
What happenes if you let water go in first?
Do I take the plug out of the other side for a spark trix 3 up 2018?
Check out our other video on this same topic just on a spark instead. Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/video/B4L51cYJa0c/v-deo.html
Maybe a stupid question, but does this apply to 2 stroke seadoos also?
If it runs on hose can I assume it will run in water?
It should, but keep in mind that when running out of the water there is no load on the engine. It's like revving a car in neutral that sounds fine but when you put it in drive it may act different. Thanks for watching!
Take it from me running on land doesn't mean it will run the same on the water.
Does this go with all seadoos I just bought a 2004 gti 717 just want to make sure this is the same way
How long can you safely let it run attached to the hose?
Per the operators manual it is suggested to run it on the hose for 90 seconds, shut the water off, then run it at 5,000 rpm's for 5 seconds. Thanks for watching!
I have a question idk if anyone can answer, I have a 99gtx limited it runs completely fine on the trailer like 2500 rpm’s, right when I put it down in the water it just turns over but never has started, I’m not sure what places to look at?
Stupid question here: I never had a jet ski before so in case i get one why i need to do that??
I do it to heat up the oil before and oil change. It makes pumping it out much easier. Also, those that winterize would need to do this with antifreeze as opposed to running water through it.
what happens if you run the water without it running????
Floods the engine most likely
If you don’t mind me asking, Where can I get that connection?
The flush kits are available from Sea-Doo and your local dealer. Thanks for watching!
What can happen from starting it with the water already on?
you can fill the exhaust and get water coming back into the engine wihtout positive exhaust pressure to allow it to push it out
Is it normal to see some white smoke?
And your exhaust is still full of water 🤦give it a quick rev to clear it out Max 90 sec total run time from start to Finnish.. .. I've got 330hs on my factory carbon seal 2021 wake pro
Stupid question, but you mean a quick rev after you went and turned off the water supply, right before turning it off?
@@SK-GTYes, after turning the water off rev it to get rid of the last bits of water in the system then shut the engine off and you’re done with the flush
It’s not a boat
