- Maintaining your Sea-Doo personal watercraft is meant to be quick and easy. In this video, Sea-Doo Ambassador Randy Cabrera will walk you through the three essential elements of caring for your Sea-Doo: Day-to-day care, long-term storage, and pre-season preparation.
A quick wash and flushing of your watercraft inside and out should be done after each day on the water - especially if you’re adventures take you on saltwater. This process is fast and easy with nothing more than your garden hose and a bucket of soapy water.
If it’s going to be more than a few weeks between rides or you're storing your watercraft for the season, some simple annual maintenance items may be in order, like an oil change. Again, this can be easily done yourself or with the help of your local Sea-Doo dealer.
Once you’re ready to head out on the water again, a quick pre-ride inspection should be done to ensure your watercraft is operating properly. It won’t take more than few minutes. Make sure your battery is charged and you’ll be on the water in no time.

I can’t imagine doing this every single time you go out. This guy spends more time washing it than in the water. What I’ve being doing for ten years in salt water is every time flush the engine for 30 seconds tops with fresh water and salt eliminator fluid then rinse it with water and you are good to go for the next day!
Randy is Sea-doo’s best brand ambassador👍
This was a big help. Thank you.
Nice and straight to the point. 2021 Fish Pro
I've just come from the searay boating world into the seadoo jet ski one....
All I can say is SEADOO are brilliant in online content, explanation and use of their various products...
The boating world is still living in the dark ages by comparrission!
10/10 seadoo
Just ordered a 2022 sea doo fish pro scout 170.. should arrive in January-february! I need to learn all this fast! First watercraft purchase!! So excited

@@boogerTwells i wonder if he even has it yet.? Looong wait for some.
CONGRATS
Are u still alive buddy? I’m getting one this year around July-august
@@mortalking9090 He may not be but I just got mine (FP Trophy) and will agree with some others, this video is to much on washing.....flush, super criticial, hand wash? nah just rinse with water (or water &salt away mix for salt water use) and dry.
thanks for creating a video that tried to increase revenue to the company but has minimal impact to our sea doo's, with the exception of salt water use.
Amazing!
Can you do a fuel gallon per hour video?
What did you spray the outside with and wiped off
I accidentally turned hose on before starting engine when I was flushing is that bad??
How do you reset the maintenance required message on 2018 seadoo gti 90 ? Thanks
Wish that was my garage qnd skis
Important to mention more than 30 seconds of flushing can cause major damage to the ware-ring!
What about periodically using fuel injector cleaner ?
You should do a video of how to adjust the handlebar height on that 130 pro...
When you say inside and out, are you washing inside where the engine is as well?
I'm guessing the 'inside" lip around the outside of the rubber gasket seal for the compartment.
I.e. So wipedown the lid edging but this will allow you to see if any water actually got past the runber anyway (so skip/wipe inside depending on if there's any water past the rubber seal) 👍
I just flip my seadoo on the river does it need to be Maintenance? Anybody?
Whats a good product for the bottom part ?
On polytech? Chemical guys VRP
Do you need a leader hose
Hey we need some recommendations we want something cheap that can go on long trips which seadoo should we get?
I'd check out the GTI SE 170 or 130. Most efficient "full sized" and "cheap" Sea-Doos. The Spark series is cheapest, but maybe not great for long trips, as they have smaller fuel tanks and are affected by rough water more. The Sparks are very efficient, though. Maybe check out this video they just released! ua-cam.com/video/dqag3rXd-2Y/v-deo.html
@@Steve-tf1wv ok thank you
You can always purchase a fuel rack from SHORLOCK ANCHORS. That’s what I did for our long trips. The racks pay for themselves
@@captainjocassee True. Or, even the OEM Linq system can get you some good extra range, too.
So if I live in California is winterization necessary?? And if so, what does it all entail?
How do u clean possum/bat piss shit off a seadoo cover like the one in this video
SECOND :)
All fine and dandy until that carbon seal goes and the machine sinks. Good thing they're so brightly-colored, makes it easier to find once it's under water LOL
Have you personally seen a carbon seal go bad?
@@KeystoneTexan the way they put them together I Mexico is the problem, the alignments are almost always off, and that causes heavy wear on the CS
Carbon seal never fails
