Hey Craig. Your videos are truly amazing. Im in a situation were I've lost my ex. I learned from you I've had underlying causes with my childhood and seperation anxiety. I chose to use drugs and alcohol and gambling as a copeing mechanism. For many years my ex tried and tried to make it work as I didn't see the writing on the walls. But since this has all happened I truly realize what's most important to me it's my wife and daughter. I'm clean now 42 days. I've been doing lots of therapy. Unfortunately I'm not at a place financially to do therapy or get it work books. Your pod casts are truly amazing and have helped me so much. I believe in everything you say and wish I could have found you along time ago. Thanks for making things clear to me.

Reattracting your ex... think of it like this:
When you see a stray dog, if you run after it and chase it in order to catch it, the dog will run in the opposite direction because it feels threatened, overwhelmed and afraid.
If, instead, you take your time and have a warm and calm presence, the dog will begin to trust you. It’ll be more likely to approach you. By building that trust and letting the dog come to you, the dog can realize that you actually do have something to offer: food!!
Just a little analogy I like to think about in regards to the mistake of ‘chasing’ your ex.

being chased and running is only fun if you know someone is behind you, who just wants to get you. but if the chaser will focus on themselves and not on you often only then the chased one will start to shift their focus and can see like you said in your dog analogy what the other person can actually offer and their value :) so zero contact does work :))
I mostly like the concept that my x is a stray dog. Actually stray dogs have always been nicer then him.

Craig mentioned on an old video that if your ex wants to leave you have to say "OK, let me know if you change your mind". Obviously the concept is to just give them the break-up.
Yesterday I met with my ex, with whom I share a daughter. After discovering this channel I have done everything to improve my self, remove all my anxious behaviours as much as possible and a long etc.
After a great day hanging out with our baby girl I told her, hey, I want you to come for dinner with me.
There was an awkward silence and then her usual "I'll see".
At the end of the day I told her ok just let me know for later. She said she wouldn't come. So i said good bye to my daughter and simply told my ex "ok, let me know if you change your mind" 😂😂
It came out of nowhere, completely natural. I kind of entered a meditation state just to digest it. 😂😂😂
A few mins later I got a text. We are having dinner tonight.
Awesome, hope it goes well. When things ended for me I left the guy a voicemail since I knew he was going to be cowardly and not pick up the call and said I am not going to do anything to interfere with your new relationship but where does this leave our friendship..... (no response from him is his response. Learned from mutual friends he is now engaged, but I am struggling with the fact that she has 2 kids (6 &11) when we had multiple conversations about kids and he was always firm on being good without any kids since he was turning 40. I just hope if they go through with the wedding she is honest about she left a 6.5 year marriage. They started dating right around when her divorce was finalized.

We rekindled and are very close now. But i outgrew the romantic part of it. While there is a deep fraternal love in there now we are just focused on the coparenting. She lives in a different country now and long distance wouldn't work for us. But we have always a great time when we meet and discuss ooenly about the little one when necessary. I went on to have other partners. The lessons from craig have been life savers every time. I am frankly happy with the outcome.

Really going through it tonight. I’ve lost count of the days. I hope everyday I hear from him. We were best friends. It’s really crazy how fast you can go from being someone’s everything to absolutely nothing. I’m not giving up on him though. I truly loved him with everything in me.

Right, I don't see how someone you had many intimate conversations with can just turn off their feelings like a faucet although the guy in my case has/had (don't know since we have talked in 7 months and he is with someone else) really low self esteem and would make comments saying he wasn't worthy of me.

It driving me crazy. I was always getting texts saying "you don't know how much I love you" then a week later getting dumped to try to fill a fantasy relationship with a guy she chased for years.. She sent me to the curb and he didn't give her the time again.
Every single day at 7pm I have to go out. Every night I go for a drive because when we were together I went to her place usually at 7. I just can’t stay home. I go crazy.
This was one of the biggest questions on my mind. Thank you for talking about it.

I can feel when he misses me. Sometimes when he gets up for work; other times when it get around the time he used to call me. How I know the difference. When I miss him my heart ache! When he misses me. I feel it in the pit of my stomach.
My ex can be silent all she wants to be. After taking Coach Craig and Margaret's professional advice on improving yourself I took my mind off of her. And now I am looking forward to closing on a $15.2 million commercial real estate deal. When she was with me she said, "I'll believe that when I see it." I will mail her a copy of my investment portfolio and she can read it and weep. And cry about what she lost while she is with her current broke serial cheating boyfriend. They belong together. What goes around comes around. My value is out of her league and I am dating a better woman with a secure attachment style. Who is neither needy or broke. Thanks Coach Craig and Margaret!

Definitely am becoming a better person since my breakup back in October 2019. I’ve lost about 32kg now. I’m the physically strongest and fittest version I’ve ever been. I used to be addicted to weed, depressed, anxious and all around unmotivated and on antidepressants. Now, I exercise 6-7 days a week. I no longer take medication. I have built really great habits with my diet and other lifestyle factors all the while in a pandemic! I’m generally and genuinely the happiest person I’ve ever been.. without my ex! Hell I nearly have a 6 pack abs! All in the space of about 8 months! 😁

I spent the last 7-8 hours leaving UA-cam on auto-play, and listening to your videos as I do art. The two of you helped me though a very traumatic breakup with someone a severe avoidant attachment (abandoned at birth, sexually abused at orphanage), as you can imagine, it was one of the worst breakups, and all the events that lead to it, that took me a couple years to heal from. It's been about 5 years, and I've come such a long way from then, and I've helped so many people by recognizing avoidant / attachments in people, and directing them to your channel. I miss both your voices from time to come, and come back to listen, even if I'm single and in a very stable & happy place. I owe the two of you so much, 💜.

Same i will be honest I’ve changed so much physically mentally and emotionally, i lost 45pounds i put alot of muscle, and i have no desire to post pictures online, I deleted social media.
One legged Pigeon that’s interesting, I went through a similar high intense energy phase in the first month of my breakup. I had no appetite and couldn’t sleep from the fear and separation anxiety. I was comparing myself to this big dude that my ex dumped me for. I bulked up and leaned down with extremely rigid diet/training protocols since I didn’t crave “cheat foods” anyways. I saw that guy’s face in my mind, every rep in the gym, every step on the treadmill. 5 months later it was a total rebuild. She reached out to me and and we hooked up for one blissful month behind his back. Things didn’t work out for me after that but it was worth it.

I hope my ex misses me. 3 years together, I walked away he was living a double life. Have not heard from him on a year; he tries breaking into my email once a month sometimes twice. He knew the password and yahoo always ask if I am trying to log in.

So me and my ex broke up abt nine months ago he has still keep in contact and wanted to remain friends however I went no contact for 3 months of the break up and he reach out and wanted to see me so I agreed. However last I knew after our breakup he told me he was in a relationship with someone else yet still being in a relationship he came and saw me and we did things he regretted in the morning. Now it so happens to be is that I’m expecting he doesn’t know and he still with the girl after me what am I to do now. How do you explain a baby when u in a relationship which was the rebound relationship?!

@@Wifeyytalks You probably won't like my answer, but not exactly. There were moments where it seemed like we would eventually rekindle, but nothing ever came of it. And in my case, I'm now glad that it didn't. After using the lessons i learned from this channel, I ultimately realized it wasnt a healthy relationship for me in the first place. Ive now been in another relationship for 11 months now and couldnt be happier. Truth is nothing can guarantee your ex will come back, every person and situation is different. But i can tell you this channel (amongst a few others) will give you the best chance for that to happen, while still improving yourself for a better future

Update! - im now 6 months NC. Finished the work books, 4 months with a local therapist and regularly going to the gym and dating someone new. Ive done so much work on me I'm really at a place whereby I dont care if she reaches out or not. Im like a new person. Thankyou coach craig.

She dumped me. I did 5 months no contact, I then saw her and her mum in supermarket, I felt like I'd seen a ghost. She said hello, I said hello, her mum said nothing. She then carried into the shop. She still owes me 700 and has not said anything since.

Allot of people are lonely out there so don't let it get to you. Been there, still there. Lol Just keep your mind occupied with other hobbies, interest, activities etc. It will get better and never go looking for a relationship. You can put yourself in a position where the chances of meeting someone is greater, but never make it your sole purpose. Life has a funny way of changing on a dime and nothing, I mean NOTHING ever stays the same....Life is full of surprises when we least expect it.

In my recent interactions with my ex, I felt I have shown her that I have changed. Not on purpose, but because I truly have changed. Whether they see it or not, that's not my concern. I changed for me, and I feel damn good about it.

We were more than a couple, for 8 years we were best friends, we were a team. We were dive buddies for life. She is family to me, what am I to her? Currently, persona non grata. It hurts to feel her sudden absence so deeply and I'm having a hard time shaking it off. I'm angry that she's shut things down so completely and refuses to talk. I need to check myself before I wreck myself.
Exact situation I ran into, she loved me, had no complaints but overnight (literally) she didn't want to talk, was very anxious and let me drown in doubt for almost two weeks. She didn't find someone else, but her drawbridge was up, closed tight and locked. During this time, I realized I could not make her happy, an anxious avoidant. So I felt forced to end the relationship for her future happiness. It really hurts but she needs the freedom and happiness.
I really needed this tonight ♥️ 2 weeks into no contact and the pain has been unreal.

HSP Craig has a video talking about how to not beat yourself up after a break-up. If I were you, I would read the book ‘attached’ which is recommended by Margret in one of the videos. Improve yourself and you will feel better. I was in your shoes but I feel so much better now. Trust the process.

HSP It took me a long long time to come to this point. I thought he was everything I ever wanted. However, no matter how great a person he is, the fact that he doesn’t want to continue the relationship with me, doesn’t want to pay any efforts in this relationship and he is okay with ending this relationship make him simply not the right one. I believe romantic relationships should lead to marriage and I want my marriage to be unbreakable and long-lasting. So, I have come to a conclusion that he is simply not the right one. And I want to believe, I will meet someone better and someone who loves me with all his heart.

One week in and I’m in terrible shape. Never been through anything like this before. He’s been in touch about practical things - picking up clothes, etc & ends messages with ‘take care’. I’m overwhelmed & struggling to find coping mechanisms. I’m about to lose my home, I have no living family & feel very alone.

My ex of four year's dumped me for good now I feel it in my heart. I was always to blame and I think he has a NPD. We've had more break-ups apart then we've had together. Each break-up would be for 3 months it seemed like, but he was always true..i was only his go to back up. Then the cycle would start up again. We've emailed communication during this last 3 months of being apart. I'm now in NC and staying that way. I can't keep doing this cycle.. he'd always come back and stupid me would run back. Now I'm grieving and wondering if he is even at all. So it's basically over and I see how toxic we were together.. I'm anxious he's avoidant..a crazy mix for us and I've accepted that. I think I've wasted 4 years of my life.. breaking up soooo many times. I really should have dumped him a long time ago but I didn't know then what I know now..thanks to Craig and Margaret..Good stuff!!

I hate that I am in still I'm love with my ex. I hate that I miss him. I hate that he chose to monkey branch when we just had a baby. I hate that our older kids are hurting because of his selfish decision and he's choosing to play victim instead of trying to repair his relationship with them and take accountability for hurting them. I hate how mean he is to us when he chose to hurt our family.

I’m just so sad feel like I wasted 3years
My divorce happened in April 2019, around 2 months after my ex-wife cheated. She reached out in August or September, trying to have a friendly chat, but since she was still with the other guy, I told her to get lost. Since then, she tried talking to me and tried to "apologize" another 2 or 3 times, but she was still with her rebound, so, no chance. The last time she tried contacting me eas almost 2 months ago, by text, saying ahe is sorry and that she and the other guy aren't together anymore. I told her to call and apologize, like an adult, and answer some questions, but she didn't want to, so I politely told her to piss off.
Moral of the story: Forget them. They chose to leave. They chose to hurt you. They chose their parh, so let them walk it. Alone.

Could you please do a video from the perspective of the person who does the breaking up, even though they still love their partner, because they know it was the best thing for their own self-respect. There are lots of reasons for breaking up with someone, but it would be great to listen to advice for the person who did the breaking up, but heartbroken they had to do it. Infidelity, emotional cruelty, emotional neglect - all reasons why people walk away. I just notice a lot of your advice is for people who were broken up with, not the other way around.

Married 23 years together 26 years. She was in my life everyday. I'm only 44 but this is the first time i can remember her not been there. Worst thing is the kids, my youngest will turn 11 on Xmas eve and we had a tradition we did every year and this will be the first year i wont be doing it as I'm on mt own. Apart 4 months and she has someone else. All i want to do is cry everyday it hurts. I want to hate her badly but no matter how much I try i still love her. I was wondering if there can be a video on ‘how to negotiate your needs’, although a lot has been covered in ‘communication’ videos. As our exes are not the one working on themselves. They wouldn’t consider your needs if not communicated well. But sometimes it doesn’t matter how well you ask for your own needs it’s still their part on the other side.

One month of NC. Today I accidentally viewed her story on Snapchat. I didnt view her story for the entire month. I feel crappy that it happened today. I have since learned that you can mute stories. Hopefully that doesnt set me back too much.
Im doing no contact with my ex she lives 1 1/2 away. Prior to the break up she detached emotionally and physically. After 3 years of dating she broke up with me but wanted to remain friends. Two weeks after she dumped me we were hanging out as friends. That failed miserable she wanted to feed me bread crumbs to string me along. I made a comment about her second cellphone, that I never had the number to. She called me unstable and childish saying I shouldn't be concerned about her phone. She wanted gf treatment without the commitment. She told me through text never to contact her again. She knows I don't have family in Florida and very little friends. I feel so alone. Im seeking therapy and getting closer to God.
